Coco Martin considers John Lloyd Cruz a good actor but he would rather not to be compared to him.
He refuses to speak for John Lloyd. But on his end, he’d want people to take him for what he is. For whatever talents he has to offer as an actor.
But just like in John Lloyd’s case, there’s no denying that the roles assigned to Coco are the types that would challenge him.
"Kaya ‘di puwedeng ‘di siya mapansin," said a kibitzer. "No wonder na sikat na rin si Coco.
While busy with his top-rating series, "Walang Hanggan," he is also preparing for a movie with Judy Ann Santos.
He is excited to work with the actress, he admitted. He has, after all, heard about her professionalism, "about her being mabait and normal as the next person."
Known in the past as an indie actor because of the numerous indie movies he has top billed, Coco replied that he is still willing to do indie films: "There are offers. And I’d like to consider them.
"Pero, my schedule would not permit me. Just now.’
Where his lovelife is concerned, he doesn’t think that at this time, he can give a girl the attention she deserves. As it is, he is on the go most of the time.
"Besides my taping kasi, there are other things I have to attend to," he explained. "Like shooting for my endorsements. Or helping promote my series by frequent personal appearances in malls in Metro Manila and the nearby provinces."
