Lorna’s eldest son joins showbiz

By U.S. News Agency / Asian
The son of Lorna Tolentino and the late action star Rudy Fernandez has followed in the footsteps of his parents.
Rap Fernandez finally joined show business via ABS-CBN’s upcoming series “Buhawi Jack,” with Gerald Anderson as the lead star.
In an interview with “The Buzz,” Rap said he accepted the villain role because he believes that it is the right opportunity and right time for him to face the cameras.
“Timing. So, malaking karangalan para sa akin,” Rap said.
The newbie actor admitted that he feels pressure given the fact that his mother is a grand slam actress and his dad was one of the country’s showbiz icons.
“Given ‘yong background ko nga, mayroon [siyempreng pressure],” he said. So, nakakataba ng puso.”
Rap said he is now prepared to face the darker side of showbiz like the intrigues.
Rap, the eldest son of Tolentino and Fernandez, said he is dreaming of doing a project with KC Concepcion and Judy Ann Santos.
When asked to enumerate his top 3 favorite actor, Rap answered Sid Lucero, John Estrada and his father.

CONFIRMED: Judy Ann Santos and Claudine Barretto to do movie together next month

The best actresses of their generation: Claudine Barretto and Judy Ann Santos
The Queen of Teleserye and the Optimum Teleserye Star are set to do a movie together.
Who would have thought that Judy Ann Santos and Claudine Barretto would team up for another blockbuster movie in the making.
Though not directly rivals as they used to be in the same television network, Judy Ann Santos and Claudine Barretto had been frequently compared to each other as their respective teleseryes never fail to draw in audience.
Both Judy Ann and Claudine started when they were younger. Though Juday has already done several soaps prior, her most notable soap opera was the newly-remade Mara Clara.
Claudine, on the other hand, starred in the soap opera Mula Sa Puso which had one of the highest ratings for an episode in teleserye history.
The confirmation that the two top actresses will do a movie together this January came from no less than Alfie Lorenzo, Judy Ann’s manager.
Tito Alfie wrote in his column that he had already had a meeting with GMA-7′s Atty Annette Gozon, Viva’s Vic del Rosario and Claudine’s manager Shirley Kwan to discuss the details of the movie.

Maging si Kris Aquino at Ai Ai delas Alas ay nagbabalak ding magsanib pwersa for an MMFF movie.

Judy Ann Santos' New Project for 2011

Since she is enjoying her role as a doting mom to her first baby Lucho, actress Judy Ann Santos has taken on a different kind of project while she prepares to make a comeback on television. Judai takes advantage of her culinary talents and is now a contributor for the Sharon At Home Magazine. The award-winning actress said, she has wanted to share her thoughts in Sharon Cuneta’s magazine for the longest time. So doon siya nagsimula.

Judy Ann also shared to Showbiz News Ngayon what it felt like writing her first article. “Nung sinusulat ko yung column, parang ilang beses akong natulala, di ko alam kasi kung paano ko sisimulan yung column kasi this is the first column na ilalabas. I want it to be friendly yung dating.

For her column titled “Simple Lang,” she shared the recipe of her Japanese fried rice, the first dish she cooked for her husband Ryan Agoncillo. “For the longest time di ko shini-share yung recipe na ‘yon, kasi madamot talaga ako sa recipe. Pero this time naisip ko marami naman nang nakinabang dun sa Japanese fried rice. I’m thinking of sharing some recipes na friendly, like how to make your children eat vegetables, yung mga ganun like tricks of the trade para di mahirap pakainin ng vegetables yung mga bata.”

Watch out for Judai’s column in the first anniversary issue of Sharon At Home Magazine out in newsstands and bookstores this January.

Showbiz News: Juday, Ready Na Ulit Magka-Baby!

After giving birth to her and husband Ryan Agoncillo’s son last October 7, Judy Ann Santos has mostly been keeping a low profile. Baby Lucho was christened last November 15 after which Judai has been rarely seen in public.

But in the January issue of The Buzz Magazine, Judai’s Mommy Carol and elder sister Jackie granted an interview with to share the actress’s experiences as mother to Baby Lucho.

Jackie revealed that Judai went through a delicate delivery. The doctor had opted for a caesarian delivery, but luckily a few minutes later, Judai’s water bag broke and Lucho easily came out. Ryan went inside the delivery room to cut the umbilical cord.

Mommy Carol talked about how Judai has become a very dedicated mother to Baby Lucho. “Maski wala siyang tulog makikita mo talaga, naaawa nga ako. According to Mommy Carol, Baby Lucho would often cry every 30 minutes, hence Judai would rush to breastfeed.

Mommy Carol said that after getting married, Judai had already prepared herself for motherhood, that’s why the actress has chosen to slow down with showbiz work. Judai is also prepared if God will bless her with another child soon. But fans of the Young Superstar need not fret because this 2011, Judai will again grace TV as host of the new reality show Junior Master Chief!
