Sam Milby was quick to refute speculations that his recently-concluded teleserye Kahit Konting Pagtingin was cut short due to low ratings. Previous reports also mentioned that his co-star Angeline Quinto had been constantly criticized for her acting skills which might have affected the soap’s performance. “No, it’s not that. The plan really was for it to run for 13 weeks. Naka-13 weeks naman. That was really the plan,” said Sam in an interview with Push.com.ph. 

Nevertheless, the Rockoustic Heartthrob is looking forward to his next teleserye Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala opposite the Queen of Teleserye Judy Ann Santos. When asked if he’s ready to match Judy Ann’s dramatic performance and become the King of Teleserye, Sam maintained that he’d rather focus on improving his craft than dwell on his status in showbiz. “Yung mga title title [hindi ko iniisip] basta gusto ko lang ibigay best ko at sana maging maganda pagtanggap ng kapamilya nating manonood. I’m very happy kasi kakaiba yung role na ginagawa ko dito. It’s a different Sam na makikita ng mga tao. It’s a very grey role. Excited ako.Maybe it will air sometime in June.”

Although he didn’t have the chance to watch Judy Ann’s previous soaps, Sam attested to the fact that she hasn’t lost her sparkle to this day. “Yung working relationship namin, hindi naman ako lumaki dito sa Pilipinas, I didn’t get to watch her projects. But working with her sa mga eksena, magaling talaga si Judy Ann. Sometimes nai-intimidate ako kasi ang galing talaga. Tapos minsan sa eksena nabubulol ako minsan lalo na kapag kasama ko siya kasi prine-pressure ko sarili ko.” Sam added that he reads Tagalog tongue twisters everyday to improve his grasp of the language.

In the meantime, Sam is thrilled because Adolfo Alix Jr.’s indie movie Death March—where he is top-billed together with Zanjoe Marudo, Ejay Falcon, Carlo Aquino, and Sid Lucero—will be screened at Cannes Film Festival next month. The said indie film will be pitted against 14 other foreign entries for the Un Certain Regard Section, along with another Filipino film, Norte, Hangganan ng Kasaysayan, directed by Lav Diaz.

Sa pictorial ni Judy Ann Santos para sa bago niyang show sa ABS-CBN, ang Junior MasterChef, nakausap siya ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) tungkol sa iba't ibang bagay na may kaugnayan sa kanyang pagiging ina.

Paano ba ang pakiramdam ng isang ganap nang ina?

"Masaya, very fulfilling," sambit niya.

"Masaya ang pakiramdam na nagigising ka sa bawat araw.

"Ako, ang typical day ko, magigising ako ng umaga, papasok ako ng kuwarto ng anak ko, I'll check on them if they're already awake. Kaunting laro kay Lucho.

"Then magluluto na ako ng baon ni Ryan para sa shows niya o kung may taping siya that day.

"Kung halimbawang may trabaho sa araw na yun, bonding muna with the kids.

"Alis na muna sa trabaho, tapos balik ako agad to make sure na hopefully gising pa sila na maabutan ko.

"Bilang nanay, ganun ka pala, 'no? Eager kang umuwi kasi gusto mong maabutan yung mga bata.

"O, kung manonood ka ng sine, always last full show kasi dapat tulog muna yung mga bata.

"Pag manonood ka ng sine, parang hindi ako mapakali kasi parang naiisip ko sila."

MOTHER'S DAY. Tanong ng PEP, kumusta naman ang naging selebrasyon nila noong nakaraang Mother's Day, May 8?

Ayon kay Juday/Judai, "Nung Mother's Day, hindi kami lumabas ng bahay kasi bumabagyo.

"Nasa Alabang kami. Nag-lunch na lang kami nina Mommy [Carol Santos] sa bahay [namin] after watching Pacquiao."

Ang tinutukoy ni Juday ay ang May 8 na laban ni Manny Pacquiao sa U.S. kontra kay Shane Mosley, na pinagwagian ng Filipino boxer at Sarangani representative.

Patuloy na kuwento niya, "Nag-lunch kami kasama ang mommy ko, ate ko, sister-in-law ni Ryan, at mommy ni Rye.

"Kasi pag nasa restaurant kami, parang kulang na lang singilin ako ng restaurant sa nasisira ng mga bata.

"Sabi ko, dito na lang tayo sa bahay. Kung may masisira man kami, maglinis na lang."

Ayon pa sa aktres, "Ang kaibihan lang ngayon, naiintindihan ko na yung card ni Yohan.

"Kasi dati, hindi ko naiintindihan kasi nag-i-scribble lang siya.

"Pero ngayon may mga words na, mayroon ng magandang note kay Mommy.

"Nakakatuwa. Tapos pag tinitingnan ko yung mga anak ko, nanay na ako!"

Ano naman ang regalo sa kanya ni Ryan noong Mother's Day?

"We normally give gifts to each other kahit walang mga okasyon, so yung mga ganung bagay...

"Basta ang importante, pag may mga okasyon na ganyan, magkakasama lang kami, okay na yun."

YOHAN & LUCHO. Kinumusta rin ng PEP kay Judy Ann ang kanyang mga anak na sina Lucho at Yohan.

"Seven [months] na siya nung Friday," banggit ng aktres tungkol sa kanyang bunsong anak na lalaki at unang biological child.

"Siyempre anak ko, sasabihin ko napakaguwapo. Maputi, hating-hati...

"Pag tinitingnan ko nga yung pictures niya nung bagong panganak siya, sobrang ibang-iba ang hitsura niya ngayon.

"Kasi nung ipinanganak siya, sabi ko, 'Bakit mukhang tarsier ang anak ko?'

"Pero kasi, ang cute-cute niya, ang laki-laki ng mata!

"Tapos sabi ko nga kay Ryan, 'Love, nakyu-kyutan ba tayo sa anak natin dahil anak natin siya?' Pero cute talaga siya, e.

"Ngayon, ilong at lips, kuha sa akin, tapos pataas kay Ryan.

"Napaka-steady na bata, happy lang siya, tawa lang nang tawa.

"Iiyak lang pag gutom or inaantok. Ang bait, sobrang bait.

"Nagku-crawl na siya, malikot na siya."

Pagpapatuloy ni Juday, "Si Yohan naman, mahilig magsalitang mag-isa 'yan sa camera.

"Siguro kasi napapanood niya ang mga shows na nakikita niya yung host, kaya ginagaya niya.

"Natatakot ako, hindi ko alam kung saan siya patungo!" Sabay tawa ng artistang tanging tinatawag na superstar besides Nora Aunor.
Dagdag nito, "Nae-enjoy na niya masyado ang TV. She loves seeing herself on television, she loves to entertain."

Wala na bang selos sa parte ni Yohan, na inamin dati ni Ryan ay naging problema nila bago ipanganak si Lucho?

"Siyempre, mayroong selos," prangkang sagot ni Judy Ann.

"Hindi naman yata mawawala sa panganay yun, lalo na kapag may kapatid na lalabas, di ba?

"Mayroon, pero tina-try naman naming i-explain sa kanya na, 'It doesn't mean na kapag may bagong baby, hindi na ikaw yung baby.'

"Sinasabi namin na, 'Magiging baby ka namin hanggang thirty-five ka na!'"

IN THE LIMELIGHT. Laging sinasabi ni Ryan dati na si Juday ang tanungin kung papayagan niyang gumawa rin ng commercial si Lucho o mag-aartista si Yohan.

Dahil daw, si Juday bata pa lang ay sumabak na sa pag-aartista.

So, papayagan ba niyang gumawa ng commercial si Lucho, o pumasok sa showbiz si Yohan?

Sagot ng dating child star, "Ang hirap kasing magsalita kung ang panahon noon ay panahon ngayon na napakasarap mag-artista.

"Kapag bata ka kasi, walang expectations yung mga manonood, tapos hindi ka napi-pressure magdalaga.

"Parang sa akin, sa opinyon ko, ang mga batang artista ngayon from 8 to 10, hindi na dumadaan ng 10 to 12.

"Gruma-graduate na sila ng 10 to 12, tapos 16 na agad yung utak nila magbihis, makisama, makipag-usap.

"I don't want our daughter to go through that.

"Gusto ko ma-enjoy niya talaga ang childhood niya kasi hindi na niya mae-enjoy yung childhood niya.

"Ako lang, kung mababalikan ko lang yung pagbata, binalikan ko na. Kaya lang, hindi talaga.

"So, yun ang gusto naming ma-experience niya.

"Gusto ko masubukan niyang maglaro sa labas. Hindi siya masyadong nag-a-iPod, hindi siya masyadong nagko-computer always.

"Pinagpu-football namin siya ngayon kasi gusto niya yung football.

"Gusto namin siyang turuan ng patintero, tumbang preso, taguan, kasi dun kami ni Ryan lumaki.

"Ayaw namin siyang maging bum na nandun lang sa harap ng computer, pumapapak ng tsitsirya.

"Gusto namin active siya."

Dagdag ng 33-year-old actress, "Regarding Baby Lucho, basta okay ang produkto, basta ginagamit at hindi magkakaproblema sa bata, bakit hindi?

"Deserve naman ng mga tao na makita ang baby namin kasi nasa harapan nila ako for how many years.

"Tina-try ko lang i-explain na hindi lang agad-agad.

"Siguro pag nanay ka... May ibang nanay na gustong i-share agad ang anak nila.

"Ako, siguro, kilala rin naman ako ng mga tao na hindi ako agad-agad, gusto ko ako lang muna.

"Gusto ko makita ko muna siya na nade-develop.

"In time, siyempre ilalabas din namin siya.

"Hindi naman puwedeng hindi kasi masyado naman kaming sasabihang selfish ng mga tao."

Open book ang pagiging adopted ni Yohan. Bagay na, ayon sa aktres, ay hindi naman niya itinago kay Yohan kahit kailan.

"What's nice about Yohan," sabi ni Judy Ann, "she knows naman from the start.

"Every time she asks question, we answer her in the most proper way.

"Ine-explain namin sa kanya nang maayos na, 'You didn't come from Mama's tummy.

"But you know what, God is really good because when we prayed, He gave you to us.

"So you come from Mommy and Daddy's heart.

"So when people ask you kung saan ka galing, you come from Mommy's heart.' Ginaganun namin siya.

"Nagtatanong pa rin siya, 'Who's my Mommy? Do you know my Mommy?' May mga ganun siya.

"Siyempre sa akin, 'Hay, paano ko ba ito sasagutin? Paano mo ba ie-explain sa batang six years old kung saan siya nanggaling?'

"Mas mabuting sa amin na manggaling kung saan ang pinagmulan niya kaysa sa ibang tao ang magsabi sa kanya, na baka yung way na pagsabi sa kanya ay hindi maganda.

"Baka magrebelde yung bata o iba yung intindi niya, hindi namin siya ma-shelter sa ano pang puwedeng mangyari.

"So as much as possible, we are very honest to Yohan sa bahay, hindi yung mga lies-lies na ganyan.

"Yun ang upbringing namin sa kanya," saad ni Juday.

Judy Ann Santos shares how she lost 12 pounds in less than a month on her new diet

Currently preparing for the launch of her new Kapamilya show Junior MasterChef Philippines, Judy Ann Santos revealed that she is losing her post-pregnancy weight with the help of the Cohen diet. During her launch as the newest endorser of Del Monte Pineapple last April 30, the 32-year-old actress admitted that the new diet, which she was trying for the first time, has already helped her lose as much as 12 pounds within the first three weeks of being on the diet. According to the Cohen’s lifestyle clinic official website, the diet is an individually-tailored program based specifically on blood test results that helps its participants rapidly lose weight in a safe and healthy way. Juday had previously admitted she would be going on a diet, but did not immediately disclose other details. Now, she is more open about how she is losing weight. “Diet ako talaga. Nag-ko-Cohen diet ako ngayon. It’s a diet na based on your blood type and its really working for me. Alam mo, yung cost niya it’s not that bad because yung babayaran mo lang naman is for the whole six months of the program already,” she said.

Juday said she is still allowed to eat a wide variety of food with some restrictions. “For me, I can’t eat pork. Some fishes lang, hindi ako puwede ng salmon, sea bass. ‘Pag sa poultry, chicken and turkey lang. I eat the breast part. ‘Pag sa meat, veal and steak lang. May mga choices at list of vegetables na puwede rin ako but it’s not like South Beach [diet] na hindi ka na puwede ng fruits. So allowed ako ng mga two fruits a day. Tapos five crackers a day. And I’m allowed to have three sodas a day. So it’s really not that bad,” she explained.

After giving birth to baby Lucho last year, Juday said she took the opportunity to really enjoy different kinds of food after years of being on a constant diet. “When I got pregnant, I was 116 or 120 pounds. When I gave birth, I ballooned to 161. Nag-breastfeed pa ako. Parang feeling ko buong buhay ko naman nagpapapayat ako ‘di ba? Eh nanaganak naman ako so ibibigay ko na ito sa sarili ko. At saka ang sarap kumain eh. Puwede ko bang ikaila sa sarili ko yun? So nung na-enjoy ko na yung pagkain, pinadaan ko muna ang Christmas, pinadaan ko muna ang New Year nung nanganak ako. nung dumaan ang New Year, sabi ko padadaanin ko muna ang Valentines day. Ng dumaan ang Valentines day, sabi ko hindi ko na paaabutin ang holy week. Bago nag-Holy week, nag-start na ako mag-diet kasi mahabang proseso din bago ako makapag-simula ng Cohen eh. Pero after Valentines, nag-pa check na ako sa clinic ng Cohen. May one month pa bago ako nakapag-simula. So yung one month na yun, sabi ko e-enjoyin ko na kumain kasi ‘pag nag-Cohen na ako, goodbye sarap,” she said.

Despite her diet’s restrictions on certain food items, Juday said she does not feel that she is depriving herself of food unlike before. “This diet naman, it’s really up to you to make it work. Kailangan committed ka talaga 100%. Nung nag-start ako, siguro kung 100% committed ako, I could have lost a lot more weight. It’s just that nung first week ko, I was thinking, ‘Kaya ko ba? Oo sabi ko kaya ko tapos napansin ko nung meron na akong pasingit-singit na kinakain na iba, naku naku hindi pa pala ako masyadong handa (laughs)’,” she recalled.

The doting mother of two admitted that she and her husband Ryan Agoncillo are happy with the results so far. “Happy naman siya. Araw-araw niya akong nakikita kaya hindi niya napapansin pero nakikita rin naman niya na nakakapag-pantalon na ako, na may mga ganun na, na masarap ng magbihis. Nakakatuwa. Siyempre hindi naman puwedeng diet na lang. so meron din akong exercise. May Bar akong ginagawa, minsan tumatakbo ako sa village. At sa init ngayon umupo ka lang, pagpapawisan ka na eh,” she said.

Judy Ann Santos hosts 'Junior Master Chef'

MANILA, Philippines - Judy Ann Santos is whipping up something exciting and new as the host of the upcoming ABS-CBN show “Junior Master Chef.”
The award winning actress is taking a crack at hosting on television for the first time, which is a far cry from her usual roles as lead actress in teleseryes.
The veteran actress said she was nervous about her new assignment so she asked her husband, TV host Ryan Agoncillo, to give her a few pointers.
The couple recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary among close family and friends. The two are also looking forward to celebrating Juday's upcoming birthday on May 11.
Juday said her birthday celebration will be simple and private. She said she cannot ask for more in her roles as mother, wife and career woman.
When asked if she is open to having her children enter the industry, Juday still stays firm on postponing any such decision.
She said she would like her children to have a normal childhood as much as possible. She also feared that the pressures and intrigues in show business might take a toll on her kids.
She cited the recent rumor linking Juday's best friend, actress Beth Tamayo, to the recent execution of 3 convicted Filipino drug mules in China.
The actress defended her friend and asked the public to be careful when circulating such rumors.
Tamayo was recently suspected to be one of the 3 executed Filipinos as the actress has been away from the limelight.
Juday said Tamayo merely laughed off the rumors in recent conversations.
She assured the public that Tamayo is alive and well and has no plan to return to the country anytime soon.
Juday's “Junior Master Chef' is slated for its TV debut in upcoming months. She is also doing an upcoming movie with award winning actor Coco Martin before the end of the year.

ACTRESS Judy Ann Santos is set to make her television comeback, not in an acting project but in her first hosting gig.
The mother of two will host the newest cooking showdown on television "Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition."
The said show will be open to kids who are fond of cooking and sharing their culinary experiences even in young age.
According to Juday, she's a bit nervous of the project because she needs to host the show, which she will be doing for the first time.
"Excited ako na medyo nini-niyerbos ng konti kasi hosting naman siya eh, very different sa mga ginagawa ko. Unang una hosting job ko ito."
She added while she's more comfortable in acting, she's also embracing the new changes in her showbiz career and asks for her husband, Ryan Agoncillo's advice when it comes to this particular project.
"Hindi ko alam din kung hanggang saan yung kapasidad ko na umintindi sa mga spiels unlike si Ry (Ryan) na mahusay talaga siyang magsalita."
Aside from the newest show, Juday also confirmed that she already had talks with ABS-CBN management of her possible drama comeback on television.
"Nag-iisip pa kami ng magandang istorya kasi diba halos lahat naman ngayon eh remake. I want a story that’s refreshing na hindi pa talaga napapanood."
Juday added she's also not yet ready to give showbiz most of her attention because of her kids Lucho and Yohan.
"Hindi ko pa kaya na matagal na mahiwalay sa mga bagets and pag nag-star na ako ulit mag taping eh may mga restrictions na yan eh, yung time and location."
When asked if she's also working in new silver screen project, the drama actress revealed she's set to star opposite Coco Martin in a drama flick soon.

Ryan and Judy Ann first got to know each other on the set of fantaserye Krystala. Love blossomed between them, and they tied the knot four years later in a private wedding in Batangas. The two lovebirds have also starred alongside each other in two movies and a comedy series. Judy Ann recently showed her support for Ryan’s hosting skills by showing up as a judge on Talentadong Pinoy, her first TV appearance since she gave birth to Lucho last year.

When celebrity and close friend Gladys Reyes and her family were trapped in their home during typhoon Ondoy, it was Judy Ann and Ryan who came to their rescue. “Forever grateful ako sa kanila,”  Gladys is quoted as saying in an ABS-CBNNews.com report. Gladys and Judy Ann share the good times too--they kept each other company when they were both pregnant last year.

While she might not be singer Sarah Geronimo’s biological sister, Judy Ann treats her like a member of the family. They became close during their stint together in the dramedy Hating Kapatid. Besides looking out for her off-screen, Judy Ann also has sisterly advice for Sarah: “Try to enjoy life kasi hindi na maibabalik kung ano yung edad niya ngayon, hindi naman maire-rewind 'yon, e. Na enjoy-in niya, namnamin niya yung buhay niya, ang pagiging bata. (Try to enjoy life since she’ll never be able to revisit this time; whatever age she is now, she won’t be able to do a rewind. Judy Ann Santos carefully chooses her endorsements

 
AS AN ACTRESS, wala nang dapat patunayan si Judy Ann Santos kaya nga nag-iisa lang siyang Young Superstar ng local showbiz. She’s also a wife and mom with the solid background in culinary. After giving birth, unti-unti nang bumabalik sa dati ang sexy figure ng magaling na actress. “I’m happy kasi, medyo komportable na akong magbihis ngayon. Hahaha!  Actually, masarap kumain ‘yang mag-ama kapag magkasabay, kasi nag-uunahan silang maubos kung ano ‘yung naka-serve na pagkain. At saka, mas natsa-challenge ako, araw-araw kang nagluluto. Dumadating ka sa point na ano pa ba ang lulutuin ko? Kailangan iba sa panlasa. So, kailangang mag-isip ako ng naiiba na kailangan nilang makain.”
Anong feeling ni Juday na may bago na naman siyang endorsement ? “Siyempre, nakakataas ng confidence ‘yun. Maliban sa sobra mong na-appreciate, they got your services and they really give you one hundred percent trust in you. Parang may kaba nang kaunti, kaya ko bang itawid ito? At the same time, gusto ko itong produkto, ginagamit ko naman.”
Sa pagiging endorser ni Juday, nagiging maingat kaya siya sa kanyang image specially kapag nasa public place? “Ang pagiging endorser at pagiging maingat… bago pa lang akong naging endorser ng mga produkto, maingat na naman ako even before. Hangga’t maaari kung pupuwede, iisipin ko nang ilang beses ‘yung sa-sabihin ko o gagawin ko.
“Mayroon akong moment, teka muna, dapat ko bang patulan ang issue na ito? Kasi, after awhile, sa akin din magre-reflect kung anuman ang sabihin ko. Ako ang pagbabaksakan ng sisi, hindi ba? Hindi naman ibang tao, not unless ginawa ko siya at kaya kong panindigan, ‘di okay.
“Yung image kasi, hindi lang sa pagdadala ng produktong iniendorso mo. Bago pa man ikaw mag-endorse ng isang product dapat ikaw mismo sa sarili mo ‘yung wala kang dalawang mukha. Hindi ‘yung ibang mukha ang ipinakikita mo sa mga tao dahil ito ‘yung gusto nila. Tapos, pagtalikod mo sa kamera, ibang tao ka na naman. Nag-agree ang mag-asawang Judy Ann Santos at Ryan Agoncillo na wala silang ireregalong anuman sa bawat isa sa second wedding anniversary nila last April 28.

Pero nag-effort pa rin ang aktres.

"Binigyan ko siya ng gift na T-shirt na may picture ko nung Ula!" ang natatawang kuwento ni Judai/Juday sa taped interview sa kanya ng StarTalk TX na ipinalabas kahapon, May 7.

Ula, Ang Batang Gubat ang pinakaunang pinagbidahang programa sa telebisyon ni Juday noong 1988 nang siya ay 10 years old pa lamang.

Dagdag pa niya, "Hindi niya alam kasi usapan talaga namin wala nang regaluhan."

Sa hiwalay na panayam naman kay Ryan, sabi niya, "Natuwa ako, sinuot ko agad."

Sa simpleng barbecue party lang idinaos ng mag-asawang Juday at Ryan ang kanilang second wedding anniversary.

Kuwento ni Ryan, "Bale nung Linggo... Kasi April 28 yung anniversary namin, it fell on a Thursday, kami-kami na lang ang nag-celebrate nung mismong araw.

"Pero nung May 1 [Sunday], nagpa-celebrate kami ng mass with Father [Tito] Caluag, with family and friends.

"And then, yun, pagkatapos, beer and barbecue na lang. Party-party na lang."

LUCHO'S FIRST BIRTHDAY. Six months na si Baby Lucho. Pinaghahandaan na ba ng mag-asawa ang first birthday nito?

"Definitely medyo malaki ng konti, kasi first birthday. Pero hindi masyadong glamorosa kasi hindi naman niya maaalala 'yan, hindi ba?" sabi ni Judy Ann.

Susundan na ba nila ang kanilang bunsong anak?

"Kung bibiyayaan kami ng isa pang anak, why not, di ba?" sagot ni Ryan.

Ayon naman kay Judy Ann, "Napag-usapan namin 'yan.

"Nung kapapanganak ko lang, sabi ko, 'Halika na, sundan na natin para tapos na itong anong ito!

"Oo, para isang papayatan na lang! 'Ewan ko sa 'yo,' ginaganun niya ako.

"Tapos nung...  After a while, nung nakikita ko kung gaano kahirap mag-alaga ng dalawang bata at the same time.

"Considering na Yohan is six years old already, and she's also big enough to understand what you're saying, mahirap pa rin.

"Tapos, iniisip ko na hindi ko pala kaya. Kung itong six months si Lucho, tapos magbubuntis ako uli, one year si Lucho, manganganak ako!

"E, batang-bata pa nun si Lucho, hindi ba?

"So, mahirap! Sabi ko, sige, huwag na muna."

PRIVATE MOMENTS. Kumusta naman ang private moments nina Ryan at Juday bilang mag-asawa?

Sabi ni Ryan, "Number one diyan, yung asawa siyempre. Kasi buong araw siya yung nag-aalaga sa mga anak namin.

"So, pag-uwi, uunahin ko muna si mommy, di ba? Pagbati ko sa mga anak ko, hi-hello sa mga kids muna, konting hug-hug.

"Tapos, the rest of the night, siyempre kailangan nakatutok na ako kay mommy."

Natatawa namang sinabi ni Judy Ann ,"Tama lang, tama lang! Kasi, palagi kaming pagod, e. Enough lang, enough lang.

"Pareho naman kasi kaming malambing, e. Kahit magkayakap lang kami sa kama bago matulog, okay na kami.

"Wala namang effort to, you know, to do birth control or something. It's just that pag wala sa mood, wala sa mood, walang pilitan!"

BETH TAMAYO. Hiningan naman ng pahayag si Judy Ann tungkol sa best friend niyang si Beth Tamayo, na napagkamalan umanong si Elizabeth Batain, ang Pinay drug mule na binitay sa China.

Aniya, "Nung una, natawa ako. Tapos after a while, naisip ko, parang hindi magandang biro 'ata. Nakakatawang nakakainis.

"Yun ba yung gusto nilang mangyari para makapagsalita... Para magsalita si Beth, gagawan na lang ng isyu?

"Ang importante, masaya naman siya kung nasaan siya ngayon.

"And sabi ko sa kanya, kung anuman ang kailangan niya, nandito lang kaming mag-asawa para sa kanya."

After the birth of her son Lucho last year, Judy Ann Santos admitted she didn’t mind having a low-key wedding anniversary celebration with her husband Ryan Agoncillo last April 28. “Nag-video games lang kami sa bahay at saka nag-dinner kaming dalawa. The night before our anniversary, some of our friends came over para salubungin. So parang birthday yung nangayri sa amin (laughs),” she said. The 32-year-old actress said they also held a thanksgiving mass in their home last May 1 to continue the celebration. “May thanksgiving mass sa bahay para sabay na din sa birthday mass para sa akin. ‘Pag birthday kasi namin at saka anniversary, nag-o-offer talaga kami ng thanksgiving mass for another year na maayos, kung ano man ang problemang dumating, masolusyonan naming ng maayos, yung we always do that, she says during her launch as Del Monte Pineapple’s newest endorser held last April 30 at the C55 Events Place in Quezon City. Juday said that being patient and appreciative with each other is one of the reasons why she and Ryan have managed to get along so well. “I think every year is getting much better. Mas nagiging comfortable kami sa buhay namin as a family. And we’re always thankful naman sa bawat taon na dumadaan sa amin. Ang sabi nga namin ni Ryan okay let’s take it a year at a time. Kasi yun yung nagwo-work eh. Siguro masyado lang kaming kumportable kung nasaan kami ngayon and at the same time feeling ko nga, sa aming relasyon, malaking bagay yung napapatawa namin yung isa’t isa. At higit sa lahat, yung magkaibigan rin kayo. Hindi lang kayo basta mag-asawa, mag-best friend din kayo. Puwede kayong mag-confide ng problema niyo sa isa’t isa, hindi lang sa trabaho, yung puwede kayong mag-usap ng hindi mo iju-judge kung ano yung nangyari sa kanya nung araw na yun. Kumbaga, kung kailangan kang maging kaibigan niya, maging kaibigan ka muna niya. I think yun yung talagang nagwo-work sa amin kasi sobra naming na-e-enjoy yung pagiging mag-asawa naming dalawa. Kasi para bang barkada lang yung feeling namin. Pero hindi naman yung barkada na nag iinuman lagi (laughs). Relaxed na relax lang kami. Wala masyadong rules and regulations na nakakasakal.” she shared. Juday also said that keeping an open line of communication is one of the key ingredients to a successful marriage. “I think yung pagiging open niyo talaga ang importante. Yung open sa lahat ng bagay. Not only sa buhay niyo sa loob ng bahay kundi yung buhay niyo rin sa labas. Nakakapag-kuwentuhan kayo about anything under the sun. Puwede kayong mag-biruan. Sabi ko parang feeling ko malaking factor yung may humor yung pagsasama kasi kung hindi kayo tumatawa, kung palagi kayong seryoso, ‘di ba nakakaburaot ata yun,” she explained. The new Del Monte endorser also couldn’t help but share how lucky she feels to have found her ideal mate. “Ryan’s a very good provider. Palagi kong sinasabi sa lahat ng nag-iinterview sa akin. Isang dahilan siguro kung bakit napaka-suwerte ko sa asawa dahil binigyan niya ako ng chance mamili kung babalik ba ako kaagad sa pagtratrabaho o hindi. Sabi niya it’s my choice and he will give that to me. So sobrang prenteng prente lang ako sa bahay. Akala ko nga hindi ko kakayanin na hindi magtrabaho kasi for the past 22 years wala naman akong ibang ginagawa kundi sumegway ng sumegway sa shooting. Ngayon, parang sobra akong enjoy na nasa bahay lang ako tapos kasama ko yung mga anak ko. Hindi kaya lahat ng babae may ganung oportunidad na puwedeng mamili kung gusto ba nila makasama yung mga bata or babalik kagad sa trabaho. At saka isang bagay na kung bakit ang saya saya ko is really because totoo pala yung sinasabi nila na you will realize the perfect person came into your life if you waited a long time and I think I really waited a long time and the right person came to me,” Juday admitted.

Katatapos lamang mag-celebrate nina Judy Ann Santos at Ryan Agoncillo ng kanilang second wedding anniversary noong isang linggo.

Ngayon ay anim na buwan na ang kanilang anak na si Baby Lucho at nga*yon pa lamang ay pinaplano na ng mag-asawa ang gagawing first birthday party ng anak.

Juday adjusts work sched to assure quality time with her kids

Dalawang taon nang kasal sina Judy Ann Santos at Ryan Agoncillo, pero tila nasa honeymoon stage pa rin ang dalawa dahil very sweet pa rin sila sa isa't isa tuwing mamamataan sa public at private functions.

Last Thursday, April 28, ay tahimik na ipinagdiwang ng mag-asawa ang kanilang anibersaryo sa pamamagitan ng paglalaro ng "video games" at isang intimate dinner.

"I think every year is getting much better at mas nagiging kumportable kami sa buhay namin as a family.

"We're always thankful naman sa bawat taon na dumadaan sa amin.

"Sabi nga namin ni Ryan, let's take it a year at a time—isa-isa muna," pahayag ni Juday nitong Sabado, April 30, nang humarap siya sa isang press conference na ginanap sa 55 Events Place sa Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

Ang nabanggit na presscon ay ipinatawag ng Del Monte Pineapples, na kasalukuyang iniendorso ng award-winning actress.

Bukas, May 1, ay magkakaroon naman ng thanksgiving mass sa tahanan nina Juday at Ryan bilang pagdiriwang ng kanilang anibersaryo at pasasalamat na rin sa lahat ng biyaya na patuloy nilang natatanggap.

"Some friends will come over to celebrate the anniversary with us," banggit niya.

"Hindi namin nagawa nung Thursday, kasi lahat may trabaho.

"Tapos hindi rin namin alam kung may makakapunta, kasi ang layo rin ng bahay namin.

"So, sabi namin, 'Sige let's do it on weekend na lang.'"

Ikinasal sina Juday at Ryan noong April 28, 2009 sa San Juan Nepomuceno Church sa San Juan, Batangas.

OPEN COMMUNICATION. Ibinahagi ni Juday ang dahilan kung bakit sa tingin niya ay maganda ang itinatakbo ng pagsasama nila ni Ryan.

"Yung pagiging open ninyo talaga, yung open sa lahat ng bagay, not only yung buhay ninyo sa loob ng bahay, kundi yung buhay ninyo rin sa labas, na nakakapagkuwentuhan kayo about everything under the sun at puwede kayo magbiruan.

"Ako, feeling ko, malaking factor yung may humor yung pagsasama. Kasi kung hindi kayo tumatawa, kung lagi lang kayong seryoso, di ba, nakakaburaot yata yun!" natatawang sabi ng aktres.

Dagdag pa ni Juday: "Malaking bagay rin yung magkaibigan din kayo. Hindi lang kayo basta mag-asawa, mag-best friend din kayo.

"Na puwede kayong mag-usap nang hindi mo idya-judge kung ano yung nangyari sa kanya nung araw na 'yon.

"Kumbaga, kung kailangan kang maging kaibigan muna, maging kaibigan ka muna.

"I think yun yung talagang nagwu-work sa amin ni Ryan ngayon.

"Kasi sobra naming nae-enjoy yung pagiging mag-asawa naming dalawa, kasi parang magbarkada lang yung tingin namin—hindi naman barkada na nag-iinuman lagi!
"Relax na relax lang kami, tapos walang masyadong rules and regulations na nakakasakal."

TIME FOR FAMILY. Aminado si Juday na hinahanap-hanap din ng katawan niya ang pag-arte sa harap ng kamera, ngayong madalang na siyang tumanggap ng showbiz projects para mapagtuunan ng pansin ang kanyang papel bilang maybahay at ina sa anak na sina Yohan at Juan Luis—o mas kilala sa nickname nito sa Lucho.

Si Yohan ay six years old na ngayon, samantalang six months old na si Lucho, na isinilang ni Juday nung October 7, 2010.

"Hindi naman po ako magsisinungaling, of course I do, I really miss acting.

"It's just that yung pagka-miss ko sa acting, hindi katulad ng pagka-miss ko sa mga anak ko pag wala ako sa bahay.

"Yung hindi ko kaya i-give up yung moment ko with my children para sa trabaho.

"Hindi naman po sa ayaw kong magtrabaho, of course I'm very thankful na maraming lumalapit sa amin ngayon.

"Ang sa akin lang, I think I would have to wait for the right and perfect project para maiwan ko muna sandali yung mga anak ko.
