Judai excited over Nora Aunor's comeback

Mag-asawang Judy Ann Santos at Ryan Agoncillo, kinaiinggitan!

Sino ang mag-aakalang hahantong sa kasalan sina Judy Ann Santos at Ryan Agoncillo who first met when they did the fantaserye Krystala? After their engagement during Juday’s 30th birthday celebration at the Antulang Beach Resort in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Juday and Ryan were wed in a very private and solemn wedding na ginanap sa San Juan Nepomuceno Church in San Juan, Batangas. The couple now has two wonderful kids Yohan and Lucho.
Marami tuloy ang naiinggit sa showbiz couple because they seem to have a perfect relationship.
It’s a work in progress.” Dagdag ni Ryan, “Hindi naman kami perfect. Marami rin kaming dinaraanang problema. Marami ring issue.”
Paliwanag pa ni Juday, “Hindi siya happy package na sinasabi mo na ‘pag nag-asawa ka it’s happy, happy all the way. It’s not that.
It’s a conjugal effort between husband and wife to make their marriage work. ‘Ika nga, it takes two to tango. Life is not a bed of roses after all. But there are perfect moments.
A hands-on mom, she even sacrificed her career by taking a break from showbiz after giving birth para mabantayan at mabigyan ng hustong atensyon ang kanilang mga anak.
Ryan left a heartfelt message for Juday, “Sweetheart, salamat at hindi mo pa ako sinosoli sa magulang ko hanggang ngayon. Magda-dalawang taon na tayo mahigit. Salamat sa pagiging pasensyosa, maalaga at perpektong ina at asawa. Sana hindi ka magsawa. Ako ang bahala kapag may problema.”

Kaibigan, usap tayo muli!

Judy Ann Santos Cohen Diet or Common Sense Diet?

A line made popular by Judy Ann Santos. Gosh. Did she lose weight! After giving birth to her firstborn she lost an astounding 47 lbs in just 4 months. And oh no, it’s not Bangkok Pills she is using, which is big in the 90′s.  It’s COHEN DIET, which is 27 times more expensive than most diet pills in the market.
Cohen Diet, Who is it for?
  • If you gain weight, yet you don’t each much
  • If you exercise, yet don’t lose pounds
  • If you have big cravings for food
  • If you feel bloated,  have high blood and high cholesterol
Cohen Diet, What is it?

Dr. Cohen, a doctor based in the US, popular for the test tube babies study, created this diet program. It is practically based on one’s blood components. A client will go through a blood test and Dr. Cohen will personally analyze it a give you a diet program that will allow you to lose weight rapidly.
For the rumored amount of P55,000, you will not have an exercise regimen or supply of food, just the Cohen Diet program personalized for you. It is a list of food you need to eat, with portions and schedule. If you are no Judy Ann Santos, there is no way you can afford a P55,000 diet program. For more information on Cohen Diet Philippines, you can go check out their website at http://www.cohenlifestyle.com.ph/.
URBANPINAY’s take on the Cohen Diet
First off, there is no doubt that the Cohen Diet is effective. It’s pretty common sense. If you are given a diet plan, stick to it, you will lose weight too. If you cannot shell out P55,000 and would rather buy a new laptop or something for that amount, I suggest you go to your  local dietician, have your blood tested and request for a diet program. I guess our local nutritionists are good too and we do not have to spend that much on a simple diet program.
I say support our local dietitians! What do you have to say?

My House Husband poster!

EVERYTHING JUDY ANN!

Direk Joey cites Vilma, Juday as 'timeless' stars

MANILA, Philippines – Veteran director Jose Javier Reyes has an idea on how one can be considered a "timeless" star.

Speaking to ANC’s “View from the Top,” Reyes explained that having a mark in the entertainment scene does not only entail that one should have good looks.

“Not necessarily beauty because that will fade. You may be beautiful as a young person but then it’s your process of evolution which is important in the eyes of the audience. Your personality is so important. Thirdly, your disposition, how you deal with other people,” he said.

Reyes said it is sad that the Philippines is a country that always tends to mistake celebrities for artists.

“One thing that we should study carefully is does it necessarily mean that if you are successful as a TV star, that you can also bring in the box office the moment you appear in the big screen? Not necessarily so,” he said.

“There was a time before when there were TV stars and there were movie stars. Now they are one and the same. Nowadays, the television creates the movie stars. They are not really movie stars, they are just TV stars in the big screen,” he added.

Reyes even noted that most people nowadays are “more concerned to be celebrities than artists.”

On Vilma, Juday

Reyes mentioned the mark left by Star for all Seasons Vilma Santos in the entertainment industry.

“I think of 2 examples. One is Vilma Santos who has succeeded to evolve from a child star in ‘Trudis Liit’ evolving into this teeny-bopper in the Tagalog Ilang-Ilang Pictures singing with Edgar Mortiz until she eventually became ‘Burlesk Queen’ until she became ‘Sister Stella L’ and now she is the Governor of the province of Batangas,” he narrated.

He also recognized the achievements of Young Superstar Judy Ann Santos.

“Another one who is following that path is Judy Ann Santos. From the child star in ‘Ula’ into ‘Mara Clara’ into what she became in ‘Kasal Kasali Kasalo’ and now she has became the personification of the young mother reinventing herself as a chef. From what I’ve heard, she wants to go back to school because she wants to validate herself some more despite everything she has already achieved,” Reyes said.

Reyes said it is the admirable efforts of the “timeless” stars to have long range plans that differentiate them from the rest in the industry.

“They are not only beautiful human beings but then they are beautiful examples to a multitude who adore them,” he said.

Television viewers feasted on ABS-CBN’s newest kiddie cooking reality show “Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition” as its enticing primer “The Appetizer” ruled the national primetime ratings last Saturday (August 20) with 22.9 percent, compared to only 14.0 percent of GMA7’s “Manny Many Prizes,” according to Kantar Media.
In the delightful primer, host Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo introduced the 60 impressive amateur chefs from all over the country, and the three revered chef critics.

Judy Ann Santos really enjoying real-life role as mother to Yohan and Lucho

I don't want our daughter to go through to that," says Judy Ann Santos.

Melba Llanera

"Masaya, very fulfilling," sambit niya.

I'll check on them if they're already awake. Kaunting laro kay Lucho.

"Then magluluto na ako ng baon ni Ryan para sa shows niya o kung may taping siya that day.

"Kung halimbawang may trabaho sa araw na yun, bonding muna with the kids.

"Bilang nanay, ganun ka pala, 'no?

MOTHER'S DAY.

"We normally give gifts to each other kahit walang mga okasyon, so yung mga ganung bagay...

"Iiyak lang pag gutom or inaantok.

She loves seeing herself on television, she loves to entertain."

IN THE LIMELIGHT.

"I don't want our daughter to go through that.

"So, yun ang gusto naming ma-experience niya.

"In time, siyempre ilalabas din namin siya.

"What's nice about Yohan," sabi ni Judy Ann, "she knows naman from the start.

"Every time she asks question, we answer her in the most proper way.

"Ine-explain namin sa kanya nang maayos na, 'You didn't come from Mama's tummy.

"But you know what, God is really good because when we prayed, He gave you to us.

"So you come from Mommy and Daddy's heart.

"So when people ask you kung saan ka galing, you come from Mommy's heart.' Ginaganun namin siya.

"Nagtatanong pa rin siya, 'Who's my Mommy? Do you know my Mommy?'

"So as much as possible, we are very honest to Yohan sa bahay, hindi yung mga lies-lies na ganyan.

Ryan not to intervene with Juday's career

By Glaiza Jarloc
Tuesday, August 23, 2011

TELEVISION host Ryan Agoncillo does not want to meddle with the career of his wife, Judy Ann Santos, and is confident that the latter will still prioritize their family.
Rumor has it that the young superstar needs to get Ryan's approval first before accepting any television and movie projects.
This was immediately denied by the "Talentadong Pinoy" host and said that they manage their careers separately.  "Pag career kanya kanya kami ng diskarte, ang napaguusapan namin eh how would it affect our family life.
Ryan added that as long as his wife is happy, the family is happy and the kids are doing great, he will definitely not intervene with his wife's showbiz career.
The said rumor was also dismissed by the actress herself and said that her husband is truly supportive of her shows and will be the first one to be happy with her success.
Juday added that they never talk about work unless she needs to consult something to Ryan and she's thankful for his no-non-sense perspective on things.
"Si Ryan kasi he will tell you the truth kahit gaano katotoo pa yun eh. He's always been very truthful to everything and I value his say on things."
The actress also said that as long as their family, especially the kids, are on top of their priority list, there will be no problem at all.
The actress is currently busy with Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition while Ryan still has his "Talentadong Pinoy" with the Kapatid Network. (Sunnex)

Judy Ann Santos on becoming a chef: "Next step is to learn the basics sa pagpapatayo ng restaurant."

Judy Ann Santos on becoming a chef: "Next step is to learn the basics sa pagpapatayo ng restaurant."

Kakain na lang muna ako bago ako magsimulang magtayo ng negosyo," says Judy Ann about her dream to become a professional chef.

Nerisa Almo

In some of her TV commercials, Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo has already been acknowledged as a celebrity chef. But the multi-awarded actress thinks that she has yet to earn this title.

Although Judy Ann already completed several culinary courses, which include graduating with a distinction at the Center for Asian Culinary Arts Studies, she believes that her knowledge is still not enough to claim chef status.

"Sa pagkakaalam ko, dapat nagpapatakbo ka ng sarili mong restaurant," said Judy Ann when asked about what it takes to become a chef.

She added, "Dapat parang you're the head of the kitchen para matawag kang chef. Isa 'yong malaking bagay.

"You do everything.

People might wonder, what happened to restaurants, Kaffe Kilimanjaro and Kaffe Carabana, which Juudy Ann used to own?

Judy Ann said she still has a lot to learn about restaurant management.

Parang bata, kailangan alagaan mo, kailangan dine-develop mo."

FUTURE RESTAURATEUR . The 33-year-old actress may have failed in maintaining her business, but that inspired her to learn more about restaurant management.

"Mag-aaral po muna ako. It actually made me realize na, 'Mag-aral ka pa, Juday,'" Judy Ann said.

Judy Ann also shared an important note to those who plan to put up a restaurant.

CHICKEN CURRY.  Judy Ann was just a child star of eight when she got interested in cooking. She was doing Ula, ang mga Batang Gubat.

It was then that she learned to cook one of her favorite dishes, chicken curry.

"Nakikisaling-pusa lang talaga ako kapag nagluluto," she recalled.

But when PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked her who really influenced her to cook, Judy Ann gave credit to her Mommy Carol and Ate Binay.

Because of this, Judy Ann said, she learned not to be too picky with food.

TEACHING YOHAN. These days, Judy Ann is slowly passing her knowledge to daughter Yohan, thus teaching her child to eat whatever is served on the table.

She related, "Binibigyan ko ng participation si Yohan sa pagluluto, especially when it comes to her food.

Nakaka-proud for her na, 'I make my food,' 'tapos uubusin niya.

ROBOCHEF RYAN! Judy Ann feels lucky that her husband knows how to cook.

She said, "Marunong siyang magluto. Kasi, even before kami magkakilala, mayroon siyang cooking show, e, 'yong Kiss the Cook. Medyo may kaalaman na siya sa pagluluto."

During the press conference of Junior Masterchef, Judy Ann shared a funny story about  how she and Ryan bonded in the kitchen while she was still pregnant with their son Lucho.

She said Ryan was her "robot chef" during those days.

Although Judy Ann has already given birth, Ryan is still willing to be her 'robot chef.'

"Nagustuhan na rin 'yong experience na siya 'yong tagahalo ko, halimbawa, kapag nagluluto ako ng laing or 'yong mga pagkain na kailangan mong haluin nang haluin," she said.

Right now, Judy Ann focuses on preparing for her immediate food tasters, her family.

Among the dishes that she prepares are different types of cuisine the she learned from previous studies and from cookbooks.

When she masters the fine art of cooking, Judy Ann's next step is, "to learn the basics sa pagpapatayo ng restaurant."

Juday: Mother host, master mommy

August 21, 2011

“It doesn’t bother me anymore. Let’s just remember that there’s a story in every obesity case. Be careful because your remarks may hurt instead of help the person.”

“It’s all about discipline. You don’t need a lot of money to keep fit. You can be sexy at any age,” ayon sa misis ng TV host na si Ryan Agoncillo.

“The chefs and I really make sure to taste every dish the kids cook,” paliwanag ni Judy Ann. “If there’s a particular dish we like, nauubos talaga namin. Since I’m on a diet, I adjust. I don’t eat before going to the set. When I get home, I just eat an apple or a cup of yogurt.”Naka-slim-fitting black dress si Judy Ann nang humarap sa mga mamamahayag kamakailan.

What made you say yes to hosting?

This project is a dream come true. I’m a fan of the original series. I’ve decided that I want to try on new things, explore. I’ve already proven that I could be a good actor. A reality show is the perfect comeback vehicle for me. It’s stress-free. I just play with the kids.
When Tatay Lauren (Dyogi, director/producer) first showed me the logo, naiyak na ako. I said I’d do it. Tatay knows of my culinary background. Plus, I’m a new mother. He knows I can very well handle 60 kids.

How did you prepare for the show?
I watched the original series. I also asked tips from Ryan. He told me to “just go with the flow, say what you want to say.” He said not to worry if I commit mistakes, the production staff would call my attention anyway. It’s good that the chefs are there to guide me. It also helps that I’m a natural with kids.

Are you aware of online reports linking Ryan to different girls?
Yes, although we never talk about it at home. I’m amazed at how well these people can create stories. They should work as teleserye writers. I never doubted Ryan. I didn’t even ask him to explain about this. He’s a very honest guy.
How did you react to the rumored romance between him and Brazilian Daiana Menezes, his “Eat Bulaga” cohost?
‘Wag na sana lagyan ng malisya. They’re all part of one big family. I’m a witness to this. Let’s not give them a reason to feel ill-at-ease with each other.

Are you also working on film projects?
We started filming “My House Husband” (Octo-Arts Films) last Monday. I’m working with Direk Joey (Reyes) and the cast of “Kasal Kasali Kasalo” (2006) here. I also can’t wait to work on my scenes with Eugene Domingo.
I will also do a movie with Coco Martin (under Star Cinema). The film was supposed to be a Metro Manila Film Festival entry but it wasn’t able to meet the deadline. I guess it’s better if it would have its own play date. It’s a really beautiful story. —

“Wala pa akong balita diyan pero sana matuloy kasi talagang isa iyan sa mga pelikulang gugustuhin kong gawin,” she said.
Last February, Santos’ talent manager Alfie Lorenzo confirmed to the media that the three will work in a movie.

“Only God knows [kung kailan ako ulit gagawa ng teleserye]. Maraming puwedeng mangyari sa mundong ito,” she said.
Asked if she would be willing to work with actor Piolo Pascual again, the actress replied: “Working with him again, with a good project na talagang maganda at maayos, oo naman, bakit hindi?”
Santos is now busy promoting ABS-CBN's upcoming reality cooking show for kids, "Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition," which she will host.
She is also shooting her comeback movie with Agoncillo, entitled "Househusband."

Mommy tips from Judy Ann

Multi-awarded drama actress Judy Ann Santos is known, not only as a versatile artist who transitions from drama to comedy and other roles in between, but also as a loving wife, a mother and a practical homemaker. Wife to actor-host Ryan Agoncillo, and mother to seven-year-old Yohan and 6-month-old Baby Lucio, she makes good choices in different aspects of her life – including what clothes to wear, food to eat, products to endorse, projects to accept and the communication partner to rely on.
Happy about her new discoveries as a mom and a wife, Juday shares with her fellow homemakers some practical tips especially for moms with kids in school.
She advises parents to budget wisely by preparing their kids’ baon. "This way, you provide them with what they want and still feel assured that the food your kids eat is clean and nutritious," Juday says.
Shopping online is another helpful hint. Online stores give discounts for bulk orders, so get another mom and put your orders together!
Recycling school supplies, doing the laundry and pressing uniforms once a week to consume less water and electricity are other tips that can also help save the environment.
Finally, Judy Ann says that parents should get a communication partner they can trust, "Being connected to your loved ones, especially your children, is important in ensuring their safety whenever they are in school. It also provides you with peace of mind that they can be reached anytime you want," she says. "That’s why I trust Sun Cellular."
Judy Ann’s favorite load is Sun P150 Text Unlimited. "Imagine, for just P150, I get unlimited Sun texts and FREE 4 hours of Sun calls that allow me to text all I want and call my family and loved ones for 30 days. Lalo na ngayong nasa school na si Yohan, I need Sun P150 Text Unlimited to stay on top of things."
Because it’s so affordable, Sun P150 Text Unlimited has become the most popular Sun prepaid load their household uses. "It’s a combination of call and text already," Juday enthuses, "Pwede kaming magtext kahit anong oras. Pwede din tawag lang nang tawag!"
Realizing the hard times these days, she says, "I realized the need to spend wisely and plan ahead." She has a growing family to consider, after all.

Judy Ann MAINJudy Ann Santos has spent most of her life in showbiz, starting off as a child actress and maturing into a box office bida. But, the 33-year-old has a new set of priorities in this stage of her life; she's entirely devoted to the well-being of her family with Ryan Agoncillo.

Juday, as she is fondly called, recently spoke about how motherhood has changed her life. "Now that I'm already a mom, I find it hard to leave the house and spend time away from my loved ones," she said. "When you're a mother, you are faced with decisions that will have huge bearing on your family and children."

One important decision that this two-time Cosmo cover girl makes for her kids is what products to use on their young skin. She recently revealed that her children, 7-year-old Yohan and 10-month-old Lucho, use the clinically-safe, no-more-tears formula of Johnson's Baby Milk Bath. At the launch of the improved product, Juday was introduced as the latest ambassador for the brand.

At the event, Juday shared loving stories about her kids, which fab Cosmo moms can learn from, too. She said that her favorite bonding moment with them is bath time, because even she can play with the bubbles! She also talked about the importance of having a doctor-approved cleansing product that's formulated for delicate skin. In fact, she even uses the moisturizing milk bath on herself!

Juday also talked of the sacrifices she willingly makes to be a hands-on mom: "I wake up at 5 o'clock para kasabay ko sila gumising." Another mommy moment she shares is how she puts her cooking skills to good use by preparing healthy food for her kids everyday.

But, Juday isn't the only devoted member of the family! Ryan has taken on the role of doting dad, too. "He's very supportive sa lahat ng mommy duties ko. When I feed Lucho, he feeds Yohan and he feeds me!" Juday shares.

Launch the gallery to read more quotes and stories from Juday herself about her married life and kids, and see photos from the Johnson & Johnson event held at the Garden Ballroom of Edsa Shangri-la Hotel!

Judy Ann Santos joins host Angel Jacob onstage.

Juday is the latest ambassador for Johnson's Baby Milk Bath.

She is honored that her family was asked to represent the brand: "Nakakataba ng puso talaga."

A fan of the milk bath, Juday passed it on to her own kids.

Juday said that even before they were asked to be ambassadors for Johnson's, she had already consulted her pediatrician about the milk bath.

"Just like how it took care of my skin while growing up, it takes such good care of Yohan and Lucho’s skin," she said.

Juday and Ryan have two children: their 7-year-old adopted daughter Yohan and 10-month-old Lucho.

Juday isn't the only one taking care of the kids at home!

She and Ryan Agoncillo have been married since 2009.

She was initially paired with Ryan in the 2004 TV show Krystala.

Though Ryan is very involved with their children, Juday is the one in charge of bath time.

Next Besides bath time, Juday also shared her other favorite mommy activities.

She wakes up extra early so she can prepare her kids' food everyday.

"I wake up at 5 o'clock para kasabay ko sila gumising," she said.

Next Even adults can use the milk bath! Angel shared with Juday that she uses it as a makeup remover.

The tear-free formula is especially good for removing eye makeup without the sting.

Juday shared that motherhood really changed her lifestyle.

"I never thought that I have this side of me that would want to stay at home to bake and cook for my family," she said.

It's important to Juday to prepare healthy food that are low on oil and salt for her kids.

Juday knows the benefits of healthy eating; she's lost 27 pounds since she gave birth!

She credits her slimmer figure to the Cohen diet, a weight-loss program tailored to your blood type.

She's also a bona fide foodie, having recently completed a culinary course!

"Now that I'm already a mom," she continued, "I find it hard to leave the house and spend time away from my loved ones."

Juday took six months off from showbiz to finish the course, which she described as an "achievement."

She is very proud that she got the chance to show people that "meron po akong alam maliban sa pag-arte."

Look out for her new kids' game show, Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition!

Juday and Ryan make a good team both on and off the set!
Juday revealed that she is the one in charge of the kids' hygiene, while Ryan is in charge of sports and games.

She said, "In fairness to Ryan, he's very supportive sa lahat ng mommy duties ko."

She continued, "When I feed Lucho, [Ryan] feeds Yohan and he feeds me!"

Angel asked Juday a question from the audience: What's been the most memorable milestone of baby Lucho?

Juday replied that seeing Lucho stand for the first time was the most memorable moment.

But then she changed her mind and said it's when Lucho started to dance! How adorable!

She also had much to say about Yohan's accomplishments.

She also revealed that Yohan is beginning to show a fondness for the camera.

Both children are featured in the Johnson's TVC; we won't be surprised if they follow their parents' acting footsteps soon!

Though the kids have famous parents, we're confident they'll stay grounded with Juday and Ryan's hands-on parenting style.

Juday says she brings the kids to Church regularly, and teaches them to pray before meals.

Angel and Juday say their thanks as the interview winds down.
