MANILA, Philippines – Actress Judy Ann Santos happily shared that she is now getting back to shape just in time for her television comeback.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, Santos said she already lost 27 pounds since she gave birth to baby Lucho.

In an interview last March, Santos said she considers losing weight after giving birth as a challenge.

"I just really want to feel good... You want to dress up the way you used to be. Kasi ngayon very limited and clothes na susuutin mo kasi marami kang itinatago.

Santos will soon be seen on television as the host of "Junior Master Chef: Pinoy Edition."

The show will hit the TV screens in August.

Meanwhile, Santos said she is happy to show baby Lucho to everyone in their product endorsement.

An entertainment magazine recently named Santos as one of the top 20 celebrity endorsers of 2011. - Report from Ginger Conejero, ABS-CBN News

Judy Ann Santos shares weight-loss secret

07/27/2011 | 10:19 PM

For the latest Philippine news stories and videos, visit GMANews.TV

“Right amount of food.

– FRJ, GMA

Judy Ann Santos at the J&J event

Host Angel Jacob interviews Judy Ann Santos for her “Alagang Johnson’s sa bawat sandali”. Judy Ann said that she was very thankful that she was chosen as the latest Johnson’s baby products ambassador. She trusts Johnson’s baby products that she has grown to love over the years so when it comes to taking care of her kid’s skin (Yohan and Lucho), she uses this brand. Bath time is her favorite part in taking care of her 10 month-old baby Lucho by which she uses Johnson’s baby milk bath.

Why Judy Ann trusted Johnson’s baby milk bath? Johnson’s Baby Milk Bath gently cleanses their delicate skin and prevents dryness, which may lead to irritation. It has 100% more milk proteins and vitamins A and E that gives the necessary nourishment to skin. It is also CLINICALLY PROVEN MILD and has NO MORE TEARS FORMULA ensuring gentle cleansing for babies until their toddler years, and even for mommies.

On the questions asked with Judy Ann, she shares her parenting styles and moments of her family. I smile a lot when she said that instead of baby proofing the house she buys a helmet for Lucho so he will not get hurt when playing. When she has a showbiz schedule she makes sure to it that she prepares the food for the kids before she goes. She also teach her kids to pray before eating and go to church with the whole family. If Ryan is not available, she would be the one responsible to bring the kids to church.

Judy Ann slimmed down fast and lose 27 pounds Now that she is a mom she had proven that aside from acting and culinary knowledge, she also knows how to take care of a child. For Judy Ann, giving the best care and making right choices truly matters

MAGGI MAGIC SARAP ( Mom Chef)

Now serving: Kids in the kitchen

By:

Two young contestants in the TV show “Junior MasterChef Australia” (photo: abc.net.au)
Knives, hot stoves and children do not a good combination make. But  two local television shows are out to  break this perception and encourage parents to let loose their kids in the kitchen.
GMA’s “Amazing Cooking Kids” and ABS-CBN’s “Junior Masterchef” pit young chefs against each other in a competition for kitchen supremacy, as they plan, execute and plate gastronomic delights.
“ACK” is an original concept brought to life by GMA, while “JMC” is a local take on a successful international franchise. But both reality cooking competitions take advantage of the Filipinos’ love for food and their affinity with kids on television.
Actress Carmina Villaroel, “ACK” host, tells SIM how appropriate the show’s title is because “the kids are really amazing. I couldn’t believe they’re such great cooks. I’ve learned a lot from them just by watching how they move around the kitchen.”
“JMC” host Judy Ann Santos echoes this sentiment. “They already know a lot of techniques that I only got to learn when I took culinary arts,” exclaims the actress.  “Another thing that surprised me was how the kids come up with names for their dishes. They’re names you’d associate with a fine dining restaurant,” she adds.
But no matter how good they are, the young chefs must face the day of recknoning when one of them gets eliminated.  This, Villaroel and Santos admit, is the most difficult role they assume in the shows. Telling children they are no longer part of the competition pains them both, but the two actresses reveal that their experiences as former child stars help them cope with this challenge.  Being mothers now doesn’t hurt either.
Judy Ann Santos in “Junior MasterChef”
They have to be extra careful when delivering the bad news to the kids and must help the youngsters accept their fate, the two women add.
“I’m a touchy person, so I hug and console them. I tell them it’s still okay and it’s not the end of the world,” Villaroel shares.
Santos explains: “I’m extra sensitive in dealing with these kids because I know that whatever I tell them now, they will bring with them until they grow up. I don’t want them to be bitter towards me when they become adults.”
“ACK” production manager Jenny Corcuera-Reyes tells SIM that they provide counseling to the eliminated kids. A child psychologist is always on standby to cushion the blow.
The program’s chef-judges also approach the parents to tell them why their children failed to advance to the next round.
“JMC” director Connie Macatuno  cites communication as key in making both children and parents accept the elimination and to understand that this does not mean an end to the  kids’ culinary ambitions.
“As in everything else, it’s also about the timing. Maybe it’s not yet the time for the kid to excel,” says Macatuno, a mother herself.
The  adults on the set are expected as well to mind  their manners, she adds.  The use of foul words and gay lingo on the set is prohibited. “We have to set the example to these kids. They look up to us,” she explains.
Other than the psychological and emotional support showered on the kids, the two competitions also employ other measures to make the programs more kid-friendly.
Chef Rosebud Benitez, one of the judges in “ACK,” says the young competitors are given ceramic knives “so they don’t have to apply more pressure in using it. It helps in reducing the risk of using knives.”
And though most chefs prefer using conventional gas stoves, kids in “ACK” use electric stoves “because they are safer,” adds Chef GV Barlao. Chef Jackie Ang-Po, meanwhile, says training the kids in handling cooking implements also reduces the risks that come with cooking.
But all three chefs agree that adult supervision is  very important to make  cooking safe for kids.
Lauren Dyogi, ABS-CBN’s business unit head handling “JMC,” stresses the same point.
Aside from having  safer induction cookers for use in the show, Dyogi advises parents about the need for constant guidance as the children’s best protection in the kitchen.
Dyogi laments the exodus of parents abroad as OFWs, making it more difficult for children to explore the kitchen, which is now dominated by househelp and nannies.
Villaroel recalls helping her grandmother prepare cookies when she was a young girl. Benitez, meanwhile, recounts feeling obligated to help in the kitchen as a kid.
“It felt more of a chore so I really didn’t enjoy it that much,” the TV chef quips. Make kitchen chores enjoyable to encourage children to participate in cooking, she suggests.
“Amazing Cooking Kids” in action (photograph by Armin Adina)
“JMC” judge Chef Rolando Laudico finds it very Filipino to have children helping out in the kitchen.  “Everything’s happening in the kitchen. People are there to have a good time and social interactions.” He adds: “The kitchen is one area of the house where you’ll see everyone, from kids to lolos and lolas.”
Parents should encourage their children to explore their fields of interest, whatever that may be, including culinary arts, says Santos. “There’s more to life than just playing computers, PSP or Facebook,” she adds.
Ang-Po, meanwhile, advises   parents to take their children to restaurants and not just to fastfood joints, “to make the children familiar with a wide range of cuisine.”
With the wealth of dining and learning options readily available to parents and their kids, the people behind “ACK” and “JMC” believe that the two reality cooking shows can help push a culinary revolution among children.
“We hope to inspire not only children, but also their parents, to hone their cooking skills,” says Reyes.
Says Dyogi:  “The confidence that the kids gain from their (TV) exposure could lead them into thinking that their lives can change with the simple act of cooking.”
“ACK” has already wrapped up its first season, while “JMC” is set to air in August.

Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo Purefood Endorsement

Ryan Agoncillo is proud that he and his family are credible endorsers

7/15/2011 7:27 AM

by: Bernie Franco

071511-ryan_main.jpgJudy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo are probably one of the showbiz couples with the most number of endorsements nowadays. But more than the quantity, Ryan said that he feels honored that a lot of companies see them as effective and trustworthy endorsers. “It feels good to be trusted first by the companies with their products and second it feels good to be trusted by the consumers.

Ryan continued that they truly believe in their product endorsements and are confident with the quality because they use the products themselves. “Pag nilapitan mo kami, tinanong mo kami, masasagot ka namin dahil ginagamit namin,” he assured.

But aside from him and Juday, their kids—Yohan and Lucho—are also product endorsers. Yohan already has a number of commercials (a hotdog brand, milk supplement, and baby bath soap). But Ryan clarified that they are not yet allowing her to fully join showbiz. He added that they would allow Yohan to join showbiz if she still wants to once she has finished college.

Ryan also explained that Yohan has no concept yet of being a young celebrity endorser.

Recently, the couple’s son, Lucho, was finally shown on TV through a baby bath soap commercial. It was the first time that Lucho was allowed by his parents to appear in public albeit via video. “Inabangan ko ‘yung buong Sunday [for the commercial]. I stayed at home at inabangan ko talaga.

Ryan continued that there is another version of the commercial where there will be a better view of Lucho which will come out soon.

What Judy Ann owes the public

Judy Ann Santos (Publicity photo)
Judy Ann Santos (Publicity photo)
Her commercials with husband Ryan Agoncillo, daughter Yohan and son Lucho show her happy and fulfilled, but Judy Ann Santos admits things weren’t always that rosy.

She felt depressed right after giving  birth to now nine-month-old Lucho.

“I grew big,” she recalls. “First time ko lang manganak at hindi ko alam na magiging ganito ang katawan ko. I felt very lousy.”

To her surprise, advertisers like her just the way she is.

Offers to shoot commercials  -- alone or with her family -- came left and right.  And Judy Ann feels overwhelmed to this day.

“Wow,anong nangyayari?” she wonders aloud. “They don’t seem to care if I gained weight.  They really just want to get my services. But it’s okay with them.”

But this doesn’t mean Judy Ann will  just let those bulges from her pregnancy get the better of her.

'I just need more time'

“I owe it to the people na hindi ko pwedeng pabayaan ang hitsura ko,” explains Judy Ann.  “I just need more time.

Neither does Judy Ann feel the pressure of an all-new routine these days.  Instead of  late nights at work and early morning bedtimes, Judy Ann now has an early-to-rise, early-to-go-home routine.

It’s a far cry from her single days, but she’s not complaining.

“I wake up at 5 a.m. because Lucho (her nine-month-old son by husband Ryan Agoncillo) is up at around 5:30,” she relates.

Then, she wakes up daughter Yohan, fixes her breakfast, prepares Ryan’s 'baon' for “Eat Bulaga” and “Talentadong Pinoy.”  It’s only after Yohan's school bus leaves that Judy Ann gets the chance to take a shower. Then, she's off to work to  tape for her ABS-CBN show, “Junior Master Chef,” and to do other things.

At work, Judy Ann has a special request to her bosses.

“Can I finish my work at 6 p.m. so I can be home early and put my kids to sleep?” she asks.

The bosses understand and let her go.  Besides, the goodwill she has developed all these years and her track record of giving her work all she’s got make it easier for co-workers to grant Judy Ann’s requests.

“Malaking factor na I became close to those people I have worked with,” Judy Ann explains. “I’ve been honest with them.  I don’t want to come up with excuses. So I lay down my cards even before we start working.  I tell them, 'Pasensiya po kasi ayaw ko i-cut back ang oras ko sa family ko.'”

And she appreciates how people she works with allow her to spend more time with her growing children.

“Yohan is in school and I’m having a hard time waking her up,” reports Judy Ann. “I have to wait until her school bus picks her up.”

Proud of her daughter
Judy Ann is proud her daughter no longer feels jealous of her little brother.  The happy mom reports that Yohan already plays with Lucho and hands over his diapers, cotton balls and water bottle to Judy Ann and Ryan.

“She’s my nurse,” relates Judy Ann.  I tell her she’s the 'Ate' and I give her responsibilities.”

As they grow up, Judy Ann plans to tailor fit her parenting style to Yohan and Lucho’s needs. And since a  girl’s needs are different from a boy’s, Judy Ann won’t resort to a one-size-fits-all  way of raising her children.

“It’s harder to raise a girl. I have my fears,” she admits.  “Nakakatakot ang panahon ngayon.  Nasa mall ka lang, you see teenagers in short skirts and short shorts.
But this doesn’t mean she will be very strict with Yohan. She will allow her to go out, as long as Judy Ann knows who she’s with.

“She has to experience things on her own.  She has to learn some of life’s lessons the hard way.  We can’t spare her from hurt and pain.  Andito lang kami para suportahan siya.”

She can say the same thing for Lucho, except that Judy Ann – and Ryan – will be more bold in  letting him out into the world.

Takes two to tango

And since it takes two to tango, Judy Ann credits Ryan for being a good dad and responsible husband.

But he’s very responsible. He makes it a point to be home with Lucho when Yohan and I are out.”

Mother and daughter sometimes go to the salon to have their nails cleaned or to  enjoy a relaxing massage together.

So is theirs a marriage made in heaven? It seems so, but Judy Ann is quick to make a correction.

“Like any other couple, may pag-aaway din. Lahat ng couple dumadaan sa ganoong process.   Our marriage is not perfect.

Sorting out each other’s quirks often calls for a  moment of silence.

“Kung ayaw makipag-usap, huwag muna,” Judy Ann reveals.

This process of give and take is not only keeping her marriage strong. It’s also the reason why Judy Ann – and Ryan – remain one of advertisers’  top choices as product endorsers.

Their fans – and showbiz onlookers – hope they remain that way.

Judy Ann Santos’ Key to Losing Weight is Discipline

Prior to her marriage to Ryan Agoncillo, Judy Ann Santos has always had weight issues. Back in her teens she was usually referred to as ‘siopao queen’ because of the inherent roundness of her face.
When Judy Ann eventually lost the weight, it was like sweet revenge. She was flooded with endorsement and magazine cover offers. For a time she was the face and body of diet supplement, ‘Fitrum’.
Even in a detergent commercial, she was shown as ‘boxing’ out stubborn stains and grime.
When she got married and announced that she was pregnant with her and Ryan’s first (biological) child, showbiz kibitzers were one in saying that she will have a hard time losing all the weight again.
But Judy Ann was out to prove skeptics wrong.
Attendees of a presscon for a hotdog brand their family was endorsing were surprised to see a slimmer Judy Ann. From 164 pounds, Judy Ann was able to shed 26 pounds in three months.
Naturally, the first question thrown by the people around her was ‘how did she do it?’
While she is not endorsing the particular diet program she is currently on, Judy Ann credits ‘The Cohen Diet’ as the eating regimen that worked best for her.
Judy Ann added that the key really is discipline. She says, “Dapat talaga, kapag sinabi mong ‘magpapapayat ako’, [when you say that you are going to lose weight] there’s no turning back.”

Ryan, gusto nang sundan si Lucho

Monday, 11 July 2011 03:04

Kung gusto ni Lord na magkaroon uli sila ng baby, ibibigay niya ‘yun in the right time.

Ganoon?

Juday opts for movie comeback

By WALDEN SADIRI
July 11, 2011, 11:17am
MANILA, Philippines -- Judy Ann Santos’ comeback movie will push through via the Metro Manila Film Festival entry “My House Husband” under OctoArts Films opposite real-life hubby Ryan Agoncillo.
The news quashed previous speculations that the said project was shelved because of delay in shooting in observance of festival deadlines.
However, producer Orly Ilacad clarified that everything was going through as planned.
“Definitely tuloy ang ‘My House Husband,’” affirmed Orly. “Shoot starts sometime in August. It’s not a special effects movie so we have more than enough time to finish by the end of October or early November.”
Catherine Ilacad of OctoArts Films added that the script and casting are on their final stages already. Joining Judy Ann and Ryan is Eugene Domingo. The script is written by Mel del Rosario.
“My House Husband” reunites Ryan and Judy Ann with director Joey Reyes, who helmed their previous MMFF box office hits “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo” and “Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo”
Another light project in the works for her is her TV show “Junior Master Chef.” She still doesn’t know when it will air but they have already taped two weeks’ worth of episodes.
Judy Ann is also cashing in on TV commercials. Her latest is with husband and daughter Yohan for Purefoods Tender Juicy hotdog.
The TVCs that Yohan did are signs that she and Ryan are more open now to accept endorsement projects for Yohan.
“As long as it won’t affect Yohan’s studies and the four-hour working hours will be followed, it will be fine with us, ” she said.

Judy Ann Santos reacts to Kathryn Bernardo starring in the remake of the teleserye 'Esperanza'

7/12/2011 8:10 AM

by: Napoleon Quintos

071211-juday_main.jpgJudy Ann Santos is taking a break from acting to do a reality show as she hosts Junior MasterChef: Pinoy Edition. After over twenty years as an actress, Judy Ann told Push.com.ph that she is very much excited over her first time to do a reality show.

She had previously admitted that at first, she was very nervous about having to take on the hosting duties. But as the taping for JMC progressed, she learned that for as long as she remains sincere to her feelings, the words would easily follow. “Mahirap, minsan nakakautal.

In JMC, kids ages eight to twelve will compete in a series of cooking activities to see who has the making of a future top chef. Judy Ann, together with other renowned Pinoy chefs, will taste and critique whatever the kiddie cooks will serve. The Young Superstar confessed that giving critiques on the childrens’ work had been the most challenging task so far. They are still kids kaya lahat ng marinig nila, dadamdamin nila. But at the same time we have to be honest din, kung masarap ba talaga ‘yung ginawa nila, kung alin ang dapat i-improve. We have to be gentle sa bitaw ng comments. So kailangan ko pang mag-research, ha ha ha!

Being surrounded by the JMC kids, Judy would often feel nostalgic regarding her early days in showbiz as a child star. Her top-rating ‘90s teleserye Mara Clara was recently revived by ABS-CBN and made stars out of young actresses Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes. Now there are talks that Kathryn is also being eyed by the Kapamilya network to star in the remake of another Judy Ann teleserye, Esperanza.

According to Judy Ann, she is very happy to see someone like Kathryn taking on her past projects. But the original Mara wished that the upcoming star would also be given projects that will allow her to establish her own name. “I think Kathryn Bernardo is doing very good.

Despite this, Judy Ann still expressed her full trust in ABS-CBN, the same network that launched her to stardom, to know what’s best for Kathryn’s career.

Judy Ann Santos hopes she won’t disappoint viewers as host of ‘Junior MasterChef: Pinoy Edition’

7/09/2011 1:09 AM

by: Napoleon Quintos

070911-juday-main.jpgAfter focusing on family duties, Judy Ann Santos is now back to work as host for the new ABS-CBN reality show Junior MasterChef: Pinoy Edition. In an interview with Push.com.ph on the JMC set, the actress talked about how happy she is every time she gets to be with the kiddie contestants. “Napakagagaling ng lahat ng mga kiddie cooks. Makikita mong salang-sala talaga, from Top 60, at ngayon may Top 20 na. Kahit halos lahat kami e marunong nang magluto, may mga bago pa rin kaming natututunan from these kids. This is a never ending discovery for all of us.”

As part of her preparations for her hosting job for JMC, Judy Ann watched the Australian version of the program. When she finally saw the kitchen set up for the Pinoy version of JMC, she was almost speechless.

However, the biggest challenge for the Young Superstar in JMC was doing the spiels. She talked about how her first taping day went.

Judy Ann vowed that she would do her best and continue learning the craft of hosting so as not to disappoint the ABS-CBN management and most importantly the viewers.

SANGA-SANGANDILA Ni Veronica R. Samio (Pilipino Star Ngayon) Updated July 11, 2011 12:00 AM Comments (3) View comments

Judy Ann Santos says it might take time before she returns to teleseryes

7/08/2011 8:42 AM

by: Napoleon Quintos

070811-juday_main.jpgJudy Ann Santos is about to return to television, not as an actress, but for the very first time as a host, for the new ABS-CBN reality show Junior MasterChef: Pinoy Edition. After more than a year of taking a break from showbiz to focus on mommy duties, Judy Ann said that he decision to go back to work was very much supported by her husband Ryan Agoncillo. “Ever since si Ryan lagi niyang sinasabi na kung ano man ang maging desisyon ko about sa pagbabalik-trabaho, okay lang sa kanya. Ako rin naman, gusto ko rin mag-work na for as long as may oras pa rin para sa mga bata.

The Young Superstar admitted that she missed working in front of the camera. But now her main priority is to be a hands-on mother to her two kids, Yohan and Lucho.

She also shared that her daughter Yohan is very excited about JMC and is insisting on visiting the big kitchen set. As much as Judy Ann wanted to grant her little girl’s request, the location is very far from their home. “Gusto niyang pumunta dito.

Judy Ann said that she still has an existing contract with ABS-CBN. Since she is the “Queen of Teleserye,” many are wondering when she will do another drama series. The actress, however, couldn’t give a definite time. “Siguro mid next year na siguro.

The actress explained how happy she is that with the schedule of taping for JMC she still has the time to be at home with her family. Thankful ako na may time pa rin ako with Yohan and Lucho.

Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo, ready to have their third child after Baby Lucho

Friday, July 8, 2011, 12:17

Kung gusto ni Lord na magkaroon uli sila ng baby, ibibigay niya ‘yun in the right time.

Judy Ann, Ryan and Yohan as New Purefoods TJ Hotdog Endorsers

You have probably seen the new commercial of Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog featuring Judy Ann Santos, Ryan Agoncillo and their daughter Yohan. The TV commercial features the family’s love for the best tasting hotdog which has been the favorite since the couple’s younger years in the 80′s until the kids’ generation of today with Yohan.

I’m privileged to have attended the presscon of the new TVC and was glad to see the couple Juday & Ryan for the first time. The press’ questions went smoothly and most of the time asks about Yohan’s getting into the same path as her parents. The couple seems to be comfortable to have allowed their daughter do some TV commercials however they mentioned that the timing was just good since Yohan is off from school and will have to say no to some projects once their daughter go back to school.

My personal opinion is that the Agoncillo family has been very in demand to product endorsements lately which made me asked the question to Ms. Hasmin Huang, Group Product Manager of Purefoods Hormel for choosing, Judy Ann, Ryan and cute Yohan to do the new Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog commercial. Ms. Huang said that the Agoncillo family, is they think the ideal family in the industry that will fit to Tender Juicy Hotdog’s campaign since they’re very relatable to a lot of people despite the celebrity status of Judy Ann being an actress and Ryan being a host. The management of Purefoods believes that they’re a fun family and the perfect choice for this commercial.

The TV commercial launched last June 15 has a new campaign, from the lines “Kids Can Tell” is now “Kids Noon at Ngayon” to cater not only to kids but also to everyone who are young at heart and have grown with Purefoods TJ Hotdogs.

Honestly, I wouldn’t want to eat a hotdog if not a Purefoods brand and you wouldn’t really mind if the price is quite high compare to others because you are paying for the quality and taste Purefoods is known to.

JUDAY & RYAN FOR PUREFOODS TENDER JUICY HOTDOG

Ryan, Judai and Yohan: Growing up with PUREFOODS TENDER JUICY® Hotdog

For more than five decades now, Purefoods-Hormel has been manufacturing the freshest and best-tasting hotdog in the Philippines. Deciding to use Tender Juicy as a brand about 25 years ago, it has been undisputed market. Despite competition from rival brands offering lower priced or flavored variants, PUREFOODS TENDER JUICY® Hotdog remains the market leader in its category with its resilient brand and loyal consumer base. Purefoods Tender Juicy is still the preferred brand because it is the freshest best-tasting hotdog that kids and kids at heart love.

Now, Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog has just launched a new campaign starring Ryan Agoncillo, Judy Ann Santos and their daughter, Yohan, having a fun fashion montage from the 80’s, 90’s and 2000 while enjoying their favorite hotdog. This thematic campaign communicates the freshness heritage of Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog, Then, Now and Forever. The brand chose Ryan, Judy Ann, and Yohan because they embody the brand’s heritage message. Ryan and Judai were kids once too. They loved Tender Juicy hotdog as kids and, even now as adults. Now married with kids, their love for Tender Juicy was “passed on” to Yohan who cannot get enough of Tender Juicy Hotdog. They are the perfect embodiment of kids “noon at ngayon” loving Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog. Their image as a family is also in sync with the brand’s: fun-loving, family-oriented, loves kids, and crosses over all social classes.

When asked what made them say yes to endorsing Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog, especially since this is their first endorsement as a family, Ryan and Judai both say that TJ Hotdogs are a part of their growing up years. Judai also says that TJ Hotdogs are always part of her grocery list. Ryan agrees wholeheartedly saying, “ I think it really fits the criteria namin as an endorsement. Di ba bilang magulang kahit isang ng kusing na lumalabas sa bulsa mo dapat may halaga at may mararating... eto, kinakain namin kung di man araw-araw eh napakadalas, we find value for money in it, and in our case, kinalakihan namin. It is part of our youth and it is part of the youth of our children kaya we are very happy and very proud to be endorsers of Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog.”
Being seen as an “ideal” young couple, both Ryan and Judai associate Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog with their fondest childhood memories. Judai recalls, “Nung maliit kasi ako kaming magkakapatid may hotdog kami sa table kapag may special occasion talaga. Pag may hotdog, ibig sabihin mayroon kaming ginawa or reward or may birthday. Yung lifestyle namin nung bata kami di talaga pag gusto mo andyan agad.

Nagbabasketball ako nung bata ako ang practice ko nun, is from 5 in the afternoon to eight in the evening.
Now that they are parents to Yohan and Lucho, they see to it that they impart good values, good memories and most of all, their love for Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog to their kids. And with Yohan, they now share to all their love for Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog!

Judy Ann Santos Denies Switching Networks

After finding out that her upcoming movie project My House Husband has been shortlisted as part of this year’s Metro Manila Film Fest (MMFF) entries, Judy Ann Santos said she is happy to return to the big screen in a project that also pairs her up with real-life hubby Ryan Agoncillo. “We’re excited to be working with each other again after a very long time,” she shared in the July 5 telecast of TV Patrol. The multi-talented drama actress also put to rest the persistent rumors saying that she is planning to transfer to a different network within the year. “Meron pa akong existing contract sa ABS-CBN. Alam ko nag-renew ako last year,” she stressed in the popular evening news program.

Before giving birth to her son Lucho last year, Juday was last seen in the teleserye Habang May Buhay alongside Derek Ramsay and Gladys Reyes. Juday then took some time off from the limelight during her pregnancy in order to focus on her growing family. This year, the talented actress admitted that she is slowly easing back into showbiz with her various endorsements. Juday has also expressed gratitude for the numerous offers she has been receiving to do projects again. Juday has been very vocal about carefully considering her projects now that she has a family. But the actress admitted she is open to doing a yet untitled movie with multiple Best Actor awardee Coco Martin because she has always admired Coco’s talent.

With new reality show Junior Master Chef: Pinoy Edition all set to be shown soon, Juday has been busy preparing to host the Kapamilya network’s version of the popular international franchise. The actress has already admitted that she is lucky to be married to Ryan, who had already been into hosting even before he started acting in showbiz. Juday revealed her husband would give her tips on how to be an effective host. But before she finally gets back into the routine of daily tapings for Junior Master Chef: Pinoy edition, the 33-year-old actress is scheduled to fly to Australia for a one-week vacation with her family before the show’s scheduled telecast.

Judy Ann Santos says her movie with Coco Martin has been postponed to next year

7/06/2011 8:28 AM

by: Napoleon Quintos

070611-judyann_main.jpgJudy Ann Santos is busy again with a new TV project as she is currently taping for Junior MasterChef: Pinoy Edition wherein she will serve as host, her first time ever to take on such a responsibility. Last July 4, she graced the blessing of the JMC kitchen and the entire set together with ABS-CBN executives and the production team of the show.

In an interview that followed after the blessing, the Young Superstar talked about happy she is that as JMC host, she is not required to show emotions, unlike in the numerous teleseryes and movies she did in the past.

She explained that as host she needs to show strength and give support to the kids during tense moments all throughout the competition. No acting involved dito. Hindi ka pwedeng umarte.

But what Judy Ann found very tough was how to keep her authority with the kids and at the same time be a caring second mother to them. We need to keep a little distance rin kasi sa mga kids para may konting pangingilag.

While taping JMC, which is set to air on ABS-CBN very soon, the actress will also begin shooting a movie for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival co-starring her husband Ryan Agoncillo. “Pumasok sa MMFF for this year ‘yung My House Husband namin ni Ryan. Excited kami ni Ryan na makatrabaho uli after a long time.

She was also supposed to do a film with Coco Martin for coming MMFF, but due to the festival’s rules, the project will have to be postponed for next year. Naniniwala ako na everything happens for a reason.

No reason for her to be worried though because the film will still push through by 2012. Judy Ann said the untitled movie will be a light romantic story. Baka early next year or middle of next year namin simulan.”

The actress has not had the chance to meet or speak with Coco, but she admitted that she admires the actor for his numerous achievements, including being awarded as Aktor ng Dekada by the Gawad Urian. Good job, Coco. Keep it up!”

JUDY ANN SANTOS TO DO A BIG TELESERYE NEXT YEAR ON ABS-CBN!

Judy Ann Santos, host of the upcoming “Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition,” said she will be back to doing soap operas by the middle of next year.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Santos said making a teleserye is a heavy workload and, for now, she wants to focus on her new reality TV show.

Santos, an exclusive Kapamilya talent, has starred in various popular TV series on ABS-CBN including “Mara Clara,” “Esperanza,” “Krystala,” “Ysabella” and “George and Cecil.”

As for the big screen, Santos’ movie project this year has made it to the Metro Manila Film Festival. She will star alongside husband Ryan Agoncillo and comedienne Eugene Domingo.

She will also do a movie with Coco Martin next year.

Meanwhile, Santos praised Kathryn Bernardo for her acting skill. Bernardo played “Mara,” a role originally played by Santos, in the remake of the teleserye “Mara Clara.”

Bernardo will again portray a character played by Santos. The young actress is the lead star of the remake of “Esperanza.”

Santos hopes though that Bernardo will be given a project with an original script and not patterned after her.

Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo answer tough questions from six-year-old daughter Yohan

Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo answer tough questions from six-year-old daughter Yohan

Ruel J. Mendoza

So for a child like her parang wala lang iyon talaga, pero sa tulad namin ni Ryan, parang ang hirap sagutin.

Then unti-unti naming sinasabi sa kanya na, 'Alam mo anak, you're like them, too. But now you have a mommy and a daddy. And we love you very much.'

Through that, medyo naiintindihan niya.

"Kaya very thankful ako sa Mead Johnson dahil kinuha kami ni Yohan to endorse Lactum 6+.

Gusto kong maging close silang magkakapatid."

WORKING OUT.

"Kapag may mahaba-haba akong time talaga, doon lang ako nakakapag-exercise. Pinapa-lose na nga nila ako ng weight dahil may isang movie akong gagawin this year at mag-host din ako noong Junior Master Chef. For that show, nag-aral pa ulit ako ng isang short course ng culinary arts.

Ryan, Juday star in 1 project

By Glaiza Jarloc

SHOWBIZ couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo is set to star in one movie project and the latter said he's happy for his wife's TV comeback.

It was announced early this year that Juday will host the much-anticipated first season of Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition.

According to Ryan, he's happy for his wife and knows that she truly wants to work and be back on screen.

"I was raised in a household na ang mommy ko nagtatrabaho din kaya naiintindihan ko."

"More than anything ang naiisip ko eh kailangan mag work ni Juday for herself because bago naman kami nagkakilala eh halos dalawang dekada na siyang nagtatrabaho at yun ang kinagisnan niya."

Ryan knows that Juday can juggle her career and family life and there's no problem with him if she's working again.

"Baka mabagot lang siya at ma-praning sa bahay kaya yun ang kino-consider ko as a husband."

The two will also star in one movie in the upcoming 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) this December.

According to Juday, this project was finalized weeks ago and she's also saddened because she will not be able to shoot the movie with Prince of Indie films Coco Martin.

So they need to choose and they just texted us na yun nga ang nakapasok."

The drama actress is thankful for the opportunity given to her and Ryan to star in one project again.

"Thankful din naman kami kasi for the last two or three years wala kaming movie together ni Ryan eh."

Ryan and Juday on Yohan's foray into TV: 'It's healthier'

Ryan (L) and Judy Ann (R) Agoncillo have allowed their daughter Yohan to work but with conditions
Ryan (L) and Judy Ann (R) Agoncillo have allowed their daughter Yohan to work but with conditions
MANILA, Philippines – Ryan Agoncillo and wife Judy Ann Santos think it’s “healthier” for their adopted daughter, Yohan, to do work in front of the camera.

“Maraming nagtataka kung bakit all of a sudden pumayag kami na ilabas siya [Yohan]. But it's a part of how do we think it will be healthier for her,” Ryan was quoted as saying by PEP in a report posted on July 4.

"It's also part of her role as an ate. Parang this is a form to let her know that the attention is shared again to her. Kasi iba 'yong dynamics namin sa bahay at iba 'yong nape-perceive sa TV," Ryan continued.

The three Agoncillos are the latest endorsers of a local hotdog brand. Prior, Yohan appeared in a TVC for a baby wash brand with Judy Ann and her baby brother Lucho, and for a local milk brand with her mom.

The experience, Ryan observed, has made his daughter more careful.

"Kasi, ang nangyayari naa-associate niya 'yong trabahong ginagawa niya sa trabahong ginagawa nina mommy at daddy. She sees na kung gaano kami kaingat sa sarili, inaalagan niya rin ang sarili niya,” said he.

However, Judy Ann clarified in the same interview that these exposures don't mean they’re allowing Yohan to enter showbiz. The actress is wary doing so might affect her daughter’s studies. Yohan is currently in first grade and attends whole day classes.

“Studies muna, tama na muna ang commercial," Judy Ann said, adding that they only allow Yohan to work on projects that the latter likes.

More, the actress said they strictly abide by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)’s labor code for children when it comes to their daughter’s working hours.

The code states that children are allowed to work only up to four hours per day.

“Kami, oo, bilang parents ni Yohan, very strict kami when it comes to time because bata 'yan, e, madaling napapagod,” Judy Ann reasoned.

Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo strictly follow labor code for daughter Yohan

"Studies muna, tama na muna ang commercial," says Judy Ann Santos about letting daughter Yohan join show business. Right now, the mother and daughter are seen on three different TV commercials—a milk ad, a baby bath liquid soap commercial, and a hotdog ad.

Dagdag pa ng multi-awarded actress, "Kami, oo, bilang parents ni Yohan, very strict kami when it comes to time because bata 'yan, e, madaling napapagod.

LEARNING FROM CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCE.

"Wala pang DOLE noon.

"So, before we close a contract, ilang beses namin siya tinatanong.

But it's a part of how do we think it will be healthier for her.

"It's also part of her role as an ate.

"Parang this is a form to let her know that the attention is shared again to her.

Ryan, Juday And Yohan: Growing Up With PUREFOODS TENDER JUICY® Hotdog

Ryan and Juday were kids once too.

When asked what made them say yes to endorsing Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog, especially since this is their first endorsement as a family, Ryan and Juday both say that TJ Hotdogs are a part of their growing up years.

Juday also says that TJ Hotdogs are always part of her grocery list.

“It is part of our youth and it is part of the youth of our children kaya we are very happy and very proud to be endorsers of Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog.”

Being seen as an “ideal” young couple, both Ryan and Juday associate Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog with their fondest childhood memories.

Juday recalls: “Nung maliit kasi ako kaming magkakapatid may hotdog kami sa table kapag may special occasion talaga. Pag may hotdog, ibig sabihin mayroon kaming ginawa or reward or may birthday.

“Yung lifestyle namin nung bata kami di talaga pag gusto mo andyan agad.

Nagba-basketball ako nung bata ako ang practice ko nun, is from 5 in the afternoon to eight in the evening.

Now that they are parents to Yohan and Lucho, they see to it that they impart good values, good memories and most of all, their love for Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog to their kids. And with Yohan, they now share to all their love for Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog!

Juday sumusunod sa patakaran ng DOLE

PIK PAK BOOM Ni Sol Gorgonio (Pilipino Star Ngayon) Updated July

Kaya finished or not finished kailangang
pack-up na ang bagets.

“Pagdating kay Yohan, very strict kami when it comes to time. Bata
iyan eh, madaling mapapagod.
