Xyriel Manabat says that Judy Ann Santos is her idol in acting

Currently starring in another successful television series 100 Days to Heaven, child actress Xyriel Manabat has proven her acting prowess after being part of popular teleseryes like Momay and Agua Bendita. During a recent chat with Push.com.ph, the seven-year-old Star Circle Kid Quest alumna admitted whom she idolizes the most in showbiz when it comes to acting. “Idol ko po si Ate Judy Ann. Kasi magaling siya umarte. Na-meet ko siya dati sa Your Song. Dati ko na kasi siya napapanuod kasi meron ako sa iPod ko na kopya nung pelikula nya na Hating Kapatid tapos napanuod ko rin siya sa Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo. Nakakatawa rin po siya doon. Paglaki ko gusto ko maging kasing galing ni Ate Judy Ann sa pag-arte,” she shared with Push.com.ph.

Xyriel also admitted that just like her Ate Juday, she wants to become a versatile actress that is willing to try a wide range of roles from drama to comedy to action. Xyriel said she hopes that she will one day be given the opportunity to do a project with her idol. “Gustong-gusto ko siyang pnapanuod. Gusto ko rin siya makatrabaho sa isang movie or teleserye na comedy. Kasi para magtatawanan lang kami lagi at masaya,” she said. When it comes to male actors, Xyriel said she looks up to Enchong Dee, who is also her celebrity crush. “Hindi ko pa siya nakakausap pero nakikita ko siya sa ASAP kapag nag-A-ASAP po ako. Crush ko siya eh,” she shyly admitted.

Xyriel also said she and the cast of 100 Days to Heaven have a good relationship with each other on and off the set. “Close naman po ako sa kanilang lahat.  Mabait po si Tita Coney Reyes. Nilalambing niya po ako. Lagi niya po akong pinadadalhan ng mga pagkain. Naghaharutan po kami. Tapos po si Luis Abuel masaya po siya kasama. Lagi kaming naglalaro pag magkasama kami. Enjoy po ako dun kasi para pong naglalaro lang kami sa set. Wala naman pong mahirap na pinapagawa sa amin,” she said.

When it comes to her peers, Xyriel is closest to another talented child actor Zaijian Jaranilla, whom she recently worked with on Star Cinema’s Pak Pak My Doctor Kwak! “Hindi ko po masyado nami-miss si Kuya Zaijian kasi lagi pa rin kaming nagkikita sa mga guestings po. Si Kuya Zaijian po yung pinaka-close ko at saka si Luis,” she explained.

Xyriel also admitted that aside from acting, she enjoys dancing whenever she gets to perform on ASAP on Sundays. “Ang pinakagusto ko gawin is yung sumayaw po ‘pag andun ako. Kasi yung sayaw hindi ko na kailangan magsalita,” she said. Even at a young age, this talented pint-sized artist says that she is not picky at all when it comes to work. “Kahit ano po basta may project magiging happy na po ako dun,” she said.
