Actress Judy Ann Santos might be busy preparing for her stint as the host of upcoming TV series Junior MasterChef, but that doesn’t mean she’s not focusing her attention on her family. In fact, PEP.ph reports that Judy Ann is happy with her role as a mother to her children, Yohan and baby Lucho.
A normal day for the star includes cooking husband Ryan Agoncillo’s baon for the day and bonding with the kids before going off to work herself. “Tapos balik ako agad to make sure na hopefully gising pa sila na maabutan ko. Bilang nanay, ganun ka pala, 'no? Eager kang umuwi kasi gusto mong maabutan yung mga bata (Then I go home quickly to check if they’re still awake. So this is how it is when you’re a mom. You’re eager to go home to catch the kids while they’re awake),” she is quoted as saying on PEP.ph.
The doting mother reveals it’s hard to talk about whether or not she’d like her daughter, Yohan, to be in showbiz, explaining that young actors nowadays have to grow up really quickly. A child star herself, Judy Ann says that if she could go back in time, she would definitely want to experience a normal childhood.
“So, yun ang gusto naming ma-experience niya. Gusto ko masubukan niyang maglaro sa labas. Hindi siya masyadong nag-a-iPod, hindi siya masyadong nagko-computer always. Pinagpu-football namin siya ngayon kasi gusto niya yung football. Gusto namin siyang turuan ng patintero, tumbang preso, taguan, kasi dun kami ni Ryan lumaki (So that’s what we want her to experience. I want her to try playing outdoors. She won’t use her iPod and her computer all the time. We let her play football because she likes it. We want to teach per patintero, tumbang preso, and hide-and-seek because those are the games Ryan and I grew up with),” she explains on PEP.ph.
