Judy Ann Santos began as a child actress, first making her professional television debut in “Kaming Mga Ulila” (1986). Her first leading role in a television series was in “Ula, Ang Batang Gubat” (1988), where she starred in the title role. She got her biggest break when she played the role of Mara in ABS-CBN’s “Mara Clara” in 1992. Ngayong Linggo, babalikan ng Jeepney TV ang mga pinagdaanan ng isang babae na nagsisilbing inspirasyon sa nakararami, ang sikat na aktres na si Judy Ann Santos. Sa special feature ng “Let’s Go, Linggo!” na “Judy Ann Santos: Her Royal Journey on TV”, idedetalye ang kanyang mga unang role sa showbiz hanggang sa kanyang inaabangang pagbalik sa teleserye sa paparating na “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala”.
Si Judy Ann ay nagsimulang humarap sa kamera noong siya ay bata pa. Una siyang lumabas sa “Kaming Mga Ulila” noong 1986, at pagkatapos ng dalawang taon ay gumanap na siya sa isang lead role sa “Ula, Ang Batang Gubat” noong 1988.
