JUDY Ann Santos will topbill a Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry opposite comedian Vic Sotto and Senator Bong Revilla.
With a working title "Si Agimat, Si Enteng at Ako," the movie will be the first joint big screen project of the three. Juday is slated to play a fairy role, who is looking for a love partner in the film.
In a TV Patrol interview, the actress clarified reports that she took the role initially given to comedianne Ai-Ai delas Alas. Juday said she was given a new and entirely different character to portray.
"Ibang role yung binigay nila sa akin kasi sinabi ko din naman na hindi ko kayang maitawid yung ginagawa ni Ms. Ai kasi siya lang ang makakagawa ng role na ganun," she said.
It was also clarified by Vic in a prior interview that Ai-Ai personally talked to him that he could not take part in the film due to conflicts in her contract with Star Cinema.
Vic said they understand each other's concerns and hoping at some point, they will share the big screen together. He said things are okay between him, Ai-Ai and Bong.
Meanwhile, Juday is praying for the box-office success of the movie. She said she's not eyeing any MMFF trophy this time as they will be competing with the best in the industry.
Superstar Nora Aunor's movie "Thy Womb" is included in the festival, as well as Vice Ganda, Ai-Ai Delas Alas and Kris Aquino movie under Star Cinema.
The 2012 MMFF will kick-off on Christmas Day. (Sunnex)
