February 23 ---- In May 2005, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) filed a tax-evasion case against Juday for allegedly failing to supply correct and accurate information for the taxable year 2002. The BIR alleged that the actress incurred a P2.714-million tax deficiency in 2002.
Almost seven years later, Juday is still awaiting a resolution to this case. She admitted, "I'm hoping for the best. "Hindi mo naman maibabalik ang panahon na wala kang kaso. It's already there. Juday admitted that she initially got depressed because of the tax-evasion case but she also learned some painful lessons from this experience.
"It's a very big lesson for me."Sana may maganda siyang kahinatnan. Kahit kanino puwede itong mangyari, nagkataon lang na [sa akin nangyari]. "Sana maging leksiyon sa mga kabataan to be responsible."
