Judy Ann Santos to leave ‘Bet on Your Baby’?

Actress-host Judy Ann Santos is reportedly leaving her new Kapamilya game show, Bet On Your Baby, due to medical reasons. The unconfirmed reports broke a few days before Judy Ann’s husband, Ryan Agoncillo’s game show, Picture! Picture!, premiered on rival network GMA last Saturday. The couple’s shows air on the same time slot.

According to the grapevine, Juday is pregnant with her and Ryan’s third child. The actress-host was reported to have been under the weather lately which was the reason why several tapings for BOYB were packed-up early so that she can take some rest.

Meanwhile, Ryan neither confirmed nor denied the pregnancy rumors in an interview for the promotion of his new game show. He said they have yet to see a doctor to determine if his wife is really on the family way. He also appealed to the public not to speculate about the pregnancy, but to just wait for their official announcement.

“Sa ngayon, we don’t know yet. We’re waiting to have an appointment with the doctor. Kaya sa ngayon, hintay-hintay muna,” Ryan said onStarTalk last Saturday.

Ryan also admitted that he hopes that Juday is really pregnant as they already have plans of having another baby. He added that their adopted daughter Yohan and 3-year-old son son Lucho are already asking for another sibling.

Despite hosting rival shows, the couple remains sweet and even greeted each other on their respective programs.

“Honey, I know you are watching. Uuwi na ako at sana, masarap pa rin ang dinner,” Ryan said at the end of Picture! Picture!

Juday greeted her family at the end of BOYB with, “I love you Ry, Yohan and Lucho!”

Picture! Picture!, GMA’s newly-launched game show, puts to the spotlight one of our favorite past times – taking pictures! Questions were derived from a photo flashed on the screen, each round leading to the five hundred thousand pesos cash prize.

Speaking of pictures, one picture-perfect family that we love so much is the Agoncillo family, comprised of Picture! Picture! host Ryan Agoncillo, award-winning actress Judy Ann Santos, and their two bundles of joy, Yohan and Lucho.

When asked how the family is doing, Ryan was quick to reply, “The family is well and good.”

Ryan mentioned that one of the reasons why he took GMA’s offer to host Picture! Picture! was because of the light work schedule, giving him ample time to be with his wife and kids. “At the end of this all, we choose family,” Ryan said. He also admitted that he discovered a new-found appreciation of his family, because of the recent calamities that made parents childless, and children parentless.

Ryan and Judy Ann have been together for almost nine years already, 5 of which they spent as husband and wife.
“I’m at a loss for words how I feel for my wife right now. Sarap! I feel like I won the lottery, in luck with the draw sa partner,” Ryan expressed.

After almost a decade of togetherness, Ryan said that their passion as a couple hasn’t dimmed a bit.

“The fire is raging. How do you keep it burning? It’s an effort, it’s a team effort. It’s not all rosy, I’m not gonna pretend it’s perfect but I’m happy that anumang kakulangan ko, nandyan ‘yung wife ko na magpuno. S’ya din, ready din akong punan ‘yung mga pagkukulang n’ya. Kaya nga maingat kami sa oras. ‘Tag team’ kami.”

Aside from their “division of labor,” Ryan also mentioned another secret to their successful marriage.

“’Yung date namin medyo creative na, ‘di na pwede yung pelikula-pelikula or dinner-dinner. Medyo pati ‘yung pagbibisekleta, halimbawa ‘yung pagsiswimming, date na din ‘yon.”

And another tip how he has been able to resist temptation:

“One look at my wife and it’s good. Makakita ako ng magandang babae sa daan, pag-uwi ko mas maganda ‘yung akin.”

Yohan, their daughter, and Lucho, their son, are now 9 and 3 years old respectively. Do the power couple have plans of adding another member to the family?

“Tingnan natin kung sa near future biyayaan tayo ulit ng isa pang baby. Si Lucho, tinatanong namin s’ya kung gusto n’yang maging kuya, sabi n’ya, oo. Pero 3 years old s’ya ‘di ko alam kung naiintindihan n’ya ‘yung konsepto. He says he wants a kid brother. (Si) Yohan, may konting tampo pa rin, konting pagseselos… but she better understand her situation as an ate now. Kami din we want to know ourselves more as a family.”

Bahagi ng lumang kontrata ni Judy Ann Santos ang bagong teleserye na Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala. Kaya naman aniya, walang nagbago sa talent fee kahit na nga ilang taon din siyang nabakante sa paggawa ng soap.

“Sobra akong nag-enjoy sa lahat ng nakatrabaho at pinagdaanan ko sa ABS. Marami akong nakasama. Marami akong natutunan and it really made me a better person, a better actor at that.

“Kasi marami akong napagkumparahan na nakasama ko. Na-realize ko kung ano ’yung dapat na hindi ko ginagawa sa mga kasama ko dahil ayoko ring ginagawa sa akin.

“Lahat ’yan, natahi dahil napakakulay at napakabusog ng mga trabahong binibigay sa akin. Wala talaga akong masasabi,” pahayag ni Juday.

Kumusta naman ang nakaraan niyang birthday vacation?

“Masaya! Napakasaya. Relax lang kasi umalis kami…First time ni Lucho na mag-travel nang matagal na oras. Sobrang bonding lang kasi wala kaming kasama…Si Nonong lang ang kasama namin at saka si Ana (Dasig).

“Other than that, hindi talaga kami nagsama ng ibang mag-aalaga sa mga bata. Kasi ’yun ang moment namin bilang pamilya. Relax lang. Walang masyadong shopping. Medyo-medyo lang, hahaha! Isang credit card lang!

“Enjoy lang talaga. ’Yung trip na ’yon, para sa mga bata at mag-bonding talaga kami bilang apat lang kami. So, trinabaho naming ma-enjoy namin ang kids ng kami lang,” kuwento pa ng Teleserye Queen.

Smart Parenting magazine is 10 years old! And as we celebrate this incredible milestone, we have no less than the charming family of busy mom and actress, Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, gracing our cover.

We got to witness just how picture-perfect the Agoncillo family is--Ryan very much the doting father, Yohan a responsible ate, and Lucho the source of laughter (and lots of energy!) in the studio. In between takes, we were able to capture those sweet exchanges between the blissfully in love couple.
