If you think, ABS-CBN Film Productions, Inc (commonly known as Star Cinema) has done so many movies in 2012, I think, there will be more for 2013 for the company will celebrate its 20th anniversary!

Star Cinema is the most active local film outfit in offering different movies every year. Star Cinema continue to dominate the movie industry as it produces the top-grossing movies in all time box-office history and some of the most applauded movies here and abroad.

John Lloyd Cruz replaces Piolo Pascual in Star Cinema’s “Undo”

The upcoming Star Cinema movie Undo seemed to have lost its original choice of actors playing the lead roles. The movie which revolves around the pains of going through an annulment was originally intended for Kris Aquino and Piolo Pascual.



The multimedia queen, however, said in August that the movie was already cancelled, but later reports revealed that it will still push through with Judy Ann Santos taking over the role originally intended for Kris.

And when we thought there would be a Judy Ann-Piolo movie next year, news came out that Piolo will not be in the movie anymore. The name of John Lloyd Cruz popped up as his replacement.

I wonder, though, if Aryana star Ella Cruz will also be replaced in the role of the daughter.

Chito S. Roño is directing the movie which, based on the storyline alone, will be a heavy drama. The inclusion of John Lloyd and Judy Ann in the movie made it more exciting. They are two of the most sensitive actors in local showbiz and they are known to have been very effective in the roles they portray.

Meanwhile, John Lloyd is seen weeknights in the teleserye A Beautiful Affair where he showcases his superb acting skills. Judy Ann, on the other hand, is seen weekday mornings hosting the cooking game show MasterChef Pinoy Edition.

May nakapagtsika kasi sa amin na hindi nagustuhan ni Juday ang iprinisintang script sa kanya ng Star Cinema para sa next movie niya kasama si Papa P. With this, hindi matutuloy ang inaabangang pagsasama ng dalawa sa isang project.

Actually, dalawang script daw ang ipinadala kay Juday, one with Piolo and one with John Lloyd Cruz. Apparently, she liked the story of the script with John Lloyd.

When an Instagram photo of Piolo and Juday made it to cyberspace, mara-ming fans nila ang nagkaroon ng renewed hope na magkakatrabaho silang muli. After all, it’s been a good six years since they last worked together. Silang dalawa ang bida sa Don’t Give Up On Us na ipinalabas nong 2006.

Kahit maraming TV commercials na umeere ngayon si Judy Ann Santos ay hindi nangangahulugang iiwan na niya ang pag-arte sa telebisyon at pelikula.
“Ang drama kasi pusod ko na ’yun, karugtong na ng buhay ko. Kumbaga, hindi naman siguro ako magiging part ng isang show kung hindi rin ako nagsimula sa pagda-drama. Ang pagda-drama ang nagbayad sa aking culinary studies,” natatawang pahayag ni Judy Ann.
Pansamantalang tumigil ang aktres sa paggawa ng mga teleserye dahil nag-host muna siya ng Junior Master Chef Pinoy Edition kamakailan. “Hindi ko nga naisip na pupuwede akong tumawid sa pagiging host. Nagdalawang isip ako kung tama ba na umoo ako kahit hindi ko pa alam ’yung papasukin ko. Pero that’s the risk that I was willing to take at that time kasi nung time na ’yun talagang gusto ko ma-experience ang ibang linya naman ng trabaho maliban sa pag-arte.
“Habang tumatanda ka na ’di ba medyo ini-explore mo na ang iba’t ibang aspeto sa industriyang ito maliban sa pag-arte kasi marami ng mga artistang lumalabas? Maraming mas magagaling na bata ngayon so kailangan ko as an actress, kaila ngan ko i-explore ’yung iba pang parts ng industriya,” paliwanag ni Juday.
Nakatakdang gumawa ng isang teleserye ang aktres bago magtapos ang taon at posibleng makasama ni Judy Ann si John Lloyd Cruz para rito. “’Pag nagkikita kami, sobra rin ’yang makabati sa akin. Ito namang batang ito ay nakikita ko naman. Hindi siya nagbago. Maaaring nagbago lang ang porma niya, hindi na siya nagmemedyas ngayon pero nakikita ko siya,” biro pa ni Juday.
Umaasa rin ang aktres na masimulan na ang pelikulang pagsasamahan naman nila ni Coco Martin.
“Hindi lang din kami magkasundo sa schedule kasi si bagets mas busy pa sa salitang busy. Hinihintay ko lang din,” pagtatapos ni Juday.

Juday's manager: Never with Claudine

WE told Judy Ann Santos at her launch as Eden Cheese celebrity endorser that she’s the only one in her batch (that includes Claudine Barretto and Jolina Magdangal) who remains so active because she has such a beautiful and positive aura resulting from her happy marriage with Ryan Agoncillo.

“Thank you po,” she said. “Ang sarap namang pakinggan.”

Right now, so many film companies are vying for her services to start a new movie with them. Viva wants her to do a movie with Claudine Barretto (their first together) while Star Cinema wants her to star with Coco Martin or John Lloyd Cruz. GMA Films is also after her to do “Ouija 2” while Gov. ER Ejercito wants her to play his first wife in “El Presidente, Emilio Aguinaldo Story.”

Her manager, Alfie Lorenzo, doesn’t want Juday to do a movie with Claudine, so that’s out. Her project with Coco has long been in the drawing boards but she’d have to wait as he’s still finishing “You Light Up My Life” with Angeline Quinto. Also, Mother Lily wants Coco to give priority to his movie with Marian Rivera  to start shooting soon, directed by Maryo de los Reyes with an August playdate. As for a movie with John Lloyd, Juday also has to wait since he’s giving priority to his reunion movie with Sarah Geronimo, their third team up. Someone tells us “Malabo rin yung ‘Ouija 2’ ng GMA Films and Juday herself has turned down the offer of Gov. ER.

In the Eden Cheese affair, Juday made it clear she has nothing against ER. “It’s a big project at historical pa,” she says. “But I cannot relate to the character I’d play kasi hindi naman siya buhay. I’d rather play someone I can relate with personally, para mas mabigyan ko ng justice. Ayokong mapulaan ang movie ng dahil sa’kin. I’m sure they can get a better actress na mas makakatulong para mas mapaganda ang movie. I have nothing personal against Gov. ER. Ako mismo ang natatakot na baka hindi ko maitawid ng tama yung role at lumabas lang ng katawa-tawa. I hope he understands.”

What’s next for her after her successful hosting stint in "Junior Master Chef"?

They also want me to do a teleserye but I said dahan-dahan lang kasi my priority now is really my family. I’m also doing the indie film of Direk Joey Reyes, ‘Mga Mumunting Lihim’."


How does she feel working with younger actors like Coco and John Lloyd?


"I’m definitely excited to have new leading men like them na sikat na sikat ngayon and both considered very good actors," she says. "Talagang hits ang teleseryes ni Coco at blockbusters naman ang movies ni John Lloyd, so I look forward to working with both of them. You can see kung gaano ka-intense si Coco when he acts so I’d like to find out what motivates him. Si John Lloyd naman, I got to work na with him when he was just starting. Baby boy pa nga tawag ko diyan. I’m so happy sa nakita kong success na narating niya."


Did it take her long to decide that she’d endorse Eden Cheese?


"No, go agad kasi I’ve been really using it for the longest time for spaghetti and for my snacks when I was dieting.

Judy Ann Santos is a pleasure to watch on and off cam

It was a showbiz press conference like no other. There were neither controversies raised, nor tough questions thrown. The press couldn’t think of any even if they tried. And it’s all because the
celebrity on stage was Judy Ann Santos, the superstar whose life has perfectly fallen into place since she became a wife and mother.

As everyone knows, Juday has had her share of intrigues—both petty and explosive—having practically grown up in the industry. There were word wars, break-ups, fallen friendships and competitions, all vigilantly documented on print and TV. Now in her 30s—married to fellow celebrity Ryan Agoncillo and mom to Yohann and Lucio—she fully embodies the Filipino expression “lumagay sa tahimik.” Former The Manila Times Entertainment editor Mario Bautista said it best during the event when he congratulated the actress for doing very well in her personal life.

“Sa lahat ng mga artista ngayon, talagang maayos ang lahat sa buhay mo,” he said approvingly, a rare statement for entertainment scribes to make. Judy Ann Santos doesn’t disappoint those who have closely watched her evolve as an actor and as a woman, especially not her fans.

The subject was almost speechless over the words of praise, and could only utter the words, “Salamat po, nakakataba po ng puso ang sinabi ninyo.”

May kurba na ang katawan ni Judy Ann Santos nang humarap kahapon sa isang presscon para ipakilala bilang endorser ng Eden Cheese.
Grabe parang may humihigop ng taba niya sa katawan na naipon nang magbuntis at manganak siya sa panganay nila ni Ryan Agoncillo na si Lucho. At ang the height, binansagan na siyang hot mama dahil sa kanyang kaseksihan.
Totoong nagda-diet siya, pero kinakain pa rin naman niya lahat ng gusto niya as in hindi naman niya dini-deprive ang sarili sa mga gusto niyang kainin.
“Yes, kinakain ko ang gusto kong kainin pero at the same time may kapalit ‘yun na exercise kinabukasan, like takbu-takbo or kakargahin ko si Lucho ng dalawang oras, akyat-panaog ako sa hagdan. May mga ways kung paano ka mag-exercise nang hindi ka gagas¬tos. Sa Internet lang ang daming work-out videos na puwedeng i-download, libre pa,” sabi ni Juday sa interview.

At siyempre kasama sa kanyang diet ang commitment at di¬siplina para ma-achieve ang kung anumang katawan niya ngayon. Feeling ni Juday kung hindi siya confident sa sarili niya paano niya gagampanan ang resposibilidad niyang bilang nanay at asawa.

Samantala, Pinoy Mas¬ter Chef muna ang naka-line up niyang gawin sa ABS-CBN at wala pang final decision kung matutuloy ang serye na pagsasamahan nila nina Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.
Pagdating sa pelikula, definite na ang pagsasamahan nila ni Coco Martin pero hindi pa sila nagsisimulang mag-shooting dahil busy pa ang aktor.
Yung sa kanila rin ni John Lloyd Cruz, wala pa ring kasiguruhan pero napag-uusapan na raw kahit papaano.
Samantala, pinili ni Juday ang Eden Cheese dahil paborito ito ng mga Pinoy sa maraming taon at pinagkakatiwalaan ng ilan nang henerasyon ng mga nanay. Gusto ni Juday ang makremang lasa nito. Kaya hindi na rin nagulat si Juday na nagustuhan rin ito ng kanyang mga anak lalo na si Yohan na kasama niyang endorser.

Sa presscon para sa finale ng Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition kahapon, February 15, very accommodating ang young superstar na si Judy Ann Santos sa mga tanong ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa kanya.

VALENTINE'S DAY. Ang una naming tinanong kay Judy Ann ay kung paano nila ipinagdiwang ng kanyang mister, ang actor-host na si Ryan Agoncillo, ang katatapos lang na Valentine's Day.

Ayon kay Judy Ann, "Sa bahay lang, kasi nagde-date naman kami ni Ryan kahit na hindi Valentine's Day.

"So, kapag Valentine's, nasa bahay lang kami.

"Medyo traffic kasi at mahirap kumuha ng reservations. Magpapamasahe ka nga lang, kailangan two days before, nakakapag-reserve ka na.

"Pero siyempre, para sa bagong magsing-irog, bongga ang Valentine's nila kasi 'yan naman talaga ang isang okasyon na para sa mga lovers.

"Sa aming dalawa ng asawa ko, e, binigyan lang niya kami ng flowers—ako at si Yohan, na tuwang-tuwa kasi nakatanggap siya ng flowers.

"Niyakap niya tatay niya, hindi niya in-expect na kasama siya sa bibigyan.

"Ako, nag-prepare lang ng dinner, kasama si Mommy ko [Carol Santos], kasi binisita niya kami.

"Nag-salad lang ako, 'tapos roast beef. Yun, ganun lang kami nung Valentine's.

"Hindi na nga namin nakain ang dessert... Gumawa ako ng chocolate-covered strawberry with matching champagne.

"E, sa busog, inantok kami agad, kaya nakatulog na kami!" natatawang kuwento ni Juday, palayaw ng aktres.

PARENTHOOD. Pareho silang busy ni Ryan Agoncillo sa kanilang trabaho, paano nila personal na naaasikaso ang mga anak nilang sina Yohan at Lucho?

Ani Judy Ann, "Meron naman kaming usapan ni Ryan tungkol diyan.

"Like nung Sunday [February 12], ako ang nagtrabaho, si Ryan ang naiwan sa bahay.

"We really make it a point na mailabas namin ang mga kids, kahit papaano.

"Weekends, we try to explain sa mga production people na, 'Okay lang ba kung hindi kami magtatrabaho, kasi yun yung araw na walang pasok si Yohan.'

"So, we compromise."

Naitanong din kay Juday kung nasa plano na rin nila ngayon ni Ryan na masundan pa ng isa ang anak nila.

"Hindi na muna. Trabaho muna kami. Baka next year," sagot ng aktres.


"Pero ngayon, e, trabaho muna at ipon muna kami.

"Iba na kasing usapan 'pag lima na kayo sa pamilya.

"Sa ngayon, e, kuntento na kami sa dalawang anak namin.

"At least, tig-isa kami."

JOHN LLOYD CRUZ. Sa susunod na pelikulang gagawin ni Juday Ann para sa Star Cinema, wala pa raw siyang alam kung sino ang makakasama niya.

Pero isa raw sa talagang hiniling niya ay ang makatrabaho naman si John Lloyd Cruz.

Sabi ni Juday, "Sa totoo, lang, e, wala namang imposible na magkatrabaho kami ni John Lloyd, pareho naman kaming Star Cinema.

"Baby boy ko si John Lloyd, magkasama kami noon sa Sa Puso Ko Iingatan Ka, bilang kapatid ko siya.

"Naging close din naman kami, 'tapos nawala na lang hanggang sa heto, ang sikat-sikat na niya.

"Pero 'pag nagkikita naman kami, sobra rin namang makabati 'yan.

"Si John Lloyd naman, e, nakikita ko namang hindi siya nagbago ng ugali.

"Maaaring nagbago lang ang porma niya... hindi na siya nagsusuot ng medyas ngayon!" natatawang biro niya.

Updated yata si Juday tungkol kay John Lloyd?

"Updated ako, kasi nakikita ko siya.

"Yung show namin before na tinanggal siya, 'tapos nilipat siya, kasi may teleserye siya kasama si Bea [Alonzo]," banggit pa niya.

So, kailan matutuloy ang pagsasamang muli nila ni John Lloyd?

"Well, malalaman ko 'yan 'pag nag-meeting na kami nina Tita Malou [Santos, Star Cinema president].

"Pero napag-usapan na rin naman namin 'yan.

"Kasi tinanong na rin naman nila ako kung sino yung possible na gusto kong makasama kung sakaling magbabalik-pelikula ako.

"Sinabi ko talaga, si John Lloyd," seryosong lahad niya.

Nung time ba na nagkakasama sila ni John Lloyd, nagagalingan na talaga siya sa aktor?

"Well, noon pa naman, e, magaling na talaga siya.

"It so happens na nung mga panahon na yun, e, hindi pa siya nabibigyan ng tamang exposure talaga na nakukuha na niya ngayon.

"Even before, nakikitaan ko na rin kung gaano kamahal ni John Lloyd Cruz ang craft niya pagdating sa pag-arte.

"Pero nung time na rin na yun, e, hindi ko alam nun, meron pala siyang timing din sa comedy.

"At hindi ko rin alam nun na matindi ang landas na tatahakin niya.

"Pero in fairness sa kanya, e, punung-puno talaga siya ng emosyon," saad ni Juday.

PIOLO PASCUAL. Kung gustung-gusto ni Juday na makasama sa isang proyekto si John Lloyd, wala bang clamor na magsama silang muli ng dati niyang ka-loveteam na si Piolo Pascual?

"Meron pa ba?" seryoso at malamang sagot ni Juday.

Pero dagdag din niya, "I think, e, meron pa rin naman. Hindi ko lang alam kung ganun pa rin sila ka-persistent as before.

"Pero meron pa rin namang nagtatanong about that. Kung kelan daw kami magsasama sa pelikula."

Kung sakaling magkaroon ng project para sa kanilang dalawa ni Piolo, willing ba si Juday na makasamang muli ang aktor?

Sagot ni Juday, "Well, sinabi ko rin naman before na wala rin namang hindi napapag-usapan, di ba?

"Basta right story and the right project. Lahat naman napag-uusapan.

"Kung sina Ate Sharon [Cuneta] nga at si Gabby [Concepcion], e, gagawa na rin muli ng pelikula..."

Pero sinabi ng PEP kay Juday na mukhang hindi na matutuloy ang pelikulang pagsasamahan ng dating mag-asawang sina Sharon at Gabby.

Reaksiyon dito ni Juday, "Talagang di na matutuloy? E, baka pati sa amin ni Piolo, e, walang pag-asa na ring matuloy!" sabay tawa niya.

Speaking of Piolo, updated din ba si Judy Ann sa mga nangyayari ngayon sa lovelife ng dati niyang kapareha?

"E, alam ko yun... Ay, ano ba yung nasabi ko!" napabungisngis ang aktres.

"Sa totoo lang, e, una pa nga akong nakakaalam, e. Pero wala, sinabi ko lang yun.

"Pero updated naman ako sa lahat ng mga nangyayari sa paligid ko.

"Oo nga, may pagkakataon na una naming malaman kaysa inyo [press].

"Pero imbes na pagtsismisan ng mga tsismoso at tsismosa, e, puwede bang hindi makarating sa ibang tao 'yan?

"Bago nakalabas sa balita 'yan, o sa inyo, e, meron na silang alam na mga isyu na hindi nga lang puwedeng ilabas. Ganun din ako.

"At kahit alam ko na, pigain man nila ako, balatan man nila ako nang buhay, e, hindi ko pa rin naman sasabihin.

"Hindi naman ako kikita riyan. Kung kikita siguro ako, e, sasabihin ko!" tawa ni Juday.

Ano ang advice na maaari niyang maibigay kay Piolo sa pinagdadaanan nito ngayon?

"Well, lahat naman tayo, e, nakakaranas ng mga heartaches. Hindi naman yata normal ang pagiging single mo kung hindi ka nasaktan, or what.

"Ako, ang dasal ko lang both kina Piolo and KC, e, maging happy sila pareho as individuals.

"Siguro naman, kung hindi sila nag-work as a couple, baka naman magwo-work na maging good friends sila.

"Maybe someday, maraming mangyari... hindi naman tayo nagtatapos sa ganun-ganun na lang. Maliit naman ang mundo na ito.

"Parang kami, di ba? Parang kami daw, huh!" natatawang sabi ni Juday tungkol sa kanila ni Piolo.

Matatandaang nagkaroon ng hindi pagkakaunawaan noon sina Judy Ann at Piolo, pero nagkaayos din sila paglipas ng panahon.

FIRST INDIE FILM. Nabalik ang usapan sa paggawa ni Juday ng pelikula, kaya tinanong siya ng PEP kung ano nga ba ang plano ngayon ng Star Cinema para sa kanya.

"Well, di ko alam, may plano pa ba sila sa akin?" natatawang balik-tanong ng tinaguriang young superstar.

"Well, sa amin ni Coco Martin, e, sa Cine Media yun. Pero hindi ko lang alam kung co-production sila ng Star Cinema.

"Baka yun ang isa sa gagawin ko sa Star, pero hindi nga lang kami magkasundo ngayon sa schedule namin ni Coco.

"Kasi ang bagets, e, mas busy pa kaysa salitang busy. Hinintay ko lang siya.

"Pero okey din naman, kasi meron pa rin naman akong MasterChef.

Patuloy ni Juday, "At saka gagawa ako ng indie movie with Direk Joey [Reyes] sa Cinemalaya. Very excited na ako doon.
"First indie movie ito ni Direk Joey sa Cinemalaya at first indie movie ko pa rin.

"Kumbaga, pampapresko lang ba. Gagawa ka lang ng isang character na out of the box... nakakatuwa.

"Apat kami rito—ako, si Uge [Eugene Domingo], Iza Calzado, and Agot Isidro," banggit pa rin niya.

Ano ang magiging takbo ng istorya ng kauna-unahang indie film niya?

"Well, story siya ng magkakaibigan... at hanggang dun lang muna ang puwede kong sasabihin.

"Baka maagaw pa ng iba, mahirap na, ako pa ang masisi nila!" natatawang biro niya.

Pero dagdag niya, "Mga Mumunting Lihim ang title, pero ang story, iikot sa aming apat.

"Parang it applies to everyone na grupo ng magkakaibigan na kinalakihan natin.

"Basta maganda at makaka-relate ang sinumang tao.

"Kasi ako, nung mabasa ko yung script, e, gustung-gusto ko talagang gawin na agad.

"Nakakatuwa kasi nakaka-excite magbitiw ng dialogue na alam mong hindi mapuputol ng censorship, kasi indie film nga siya."

SARAH GERONIMO. Hiningan din ng pahayag si Judy Ann tungkol sa kanyang malapit na kaibigan na si Sarah Geronimo, na magkakaroon na ng sarili niyang musical-variety show sa ABS-CBN—ang Sarah G. Live!.

Bilang kaibigan at dating nakasama sa pelikula, ano ang masasabi ni Juday sa narating na ngayon ni Sarah?

"Sarah Balabagan ba ito?" napatawang biro ni Judy Ann.

"Well, seriously, si Sarah Geronimo naman, medyo mahiyain talagang bata.

"At saka ang dami niyang insecurities sa maraming bagay na hindi naman dapat.

"Tutal nabuko ko rin naman ito sa mga talk shows before, nung nag-promote kami ng pelikula [Hating Kapatid]—akala yata ni Sarah, pangit ang ilong niya.

"Palagi 'yan, ang tagal-tagal niyang nakatingin sa salamin 'pag naghihintay kami ng shoot. Kung ilang beses niyang tinitingnan sa salamin ang ilong niya.

"Tinatanong ko nga siya kung bakit. Kasi, sabi niya, parang ang pangit daw ng ilong niya, 'tapos ang laki-laki daw ng legs niya.


"E, nagkataong buntis na ako noon.

"Sabi ko, 'Kung malaki ang pata mo, e, paano na ako, e, di wala nang lalakí pa kaysa pata ko!'" napabungingis na sabi ni Juday.

"At saka si Sarah," patuloy niya, "meron siyang talent na hindi niya alam na meron siya.

"Pero 'pag nasa harap siya sa kamera, nailalabas niya yun.

"May timing siya sa comedy na talagang naipapakita niya 'pag nasa harap na ng kamera, na akala natin, e, wala siyang ganung talent.

"Kami naman ni Sarah, 'pag wala kami sa harap ng kamera, nakatabi lang 'yan sa akin.

"'Pag medyo nalulungkot, e, sasandal lang sa akin 'yan.

"Kaya nagugulat ka lang, 'pag take na, para siyang isang halimaw 'pag nasa stage na, nagko-concert. Totally, parang ibang tao siya na nakakagulat talaga.

"Kumbaga, sa isang mahiyaing tao na ayaw magpakita ng legs, ayaw niyang magpakita ng braso, ayaw magpakita ng tiyan—'tapos 'pag nasa stage siya, ibang-iba talaga siya.

"Sabi ko nga sa kanya, 'Kung ako ang may ganyang katawan, e, hindi na ako magdadamit!" tawa ni Juday.

"Kumbaga, kung ako 'yan, e, lagi akong naka-two-piece... ang kinis ng balat!"

May gusto rin daw si Judy Ann na mangyari sa buhay ni Sarah.

Aniya, "Si Sarah naman, e, mabait na bata 'yan.

"Ang gusto ko lang sana kay Sarah, e, matapos niya ang pag-aaral niya o studies in a normal school.

"Sana magawa niya, for her to experience kung ano ba talaga ang buhay ng isang normal na estudyante.

"Gusto ko rin sa kanya na i-try niya ang mag-travel, like Asia, na ang mga kasama niya, e, mga friends lang niya, barkada—o siya lang.

"Iba rin kasi yung may time siya alone at nakakausap niya ang sarili.

"Sinabi ko sa kanya yun, kasi yun ang hindi ko nagawa nung dalaga ako.

"Gusto kong ma-experience niya 'yan, kasi iba talaga yun."

ANNE CURTIS. Isa rin sa hinahangaan ngayon ni Juday ay ang mga kayang gawin ng kasamahan niya sa Kapamilya network na si Anne Curtis.

Bukod sa pagkakaroon nito ng hit movie, ang No Other Woman, natupad na rin ni Anne ang pangarap niyang magkaroon ng major solo concert sa Araneta Coliseum, ang Annebisyosa: No Other Concert noong January 28.

Sobrang napabilib daw siya kay Anne.

MUKHANG MATAGAL-TAGAL ANG ipaghihintay ng mga fans nina Sarah Geronimo at John Lloyd Cruz na gumawa ang kanilang idols ng bagong pelikula. According to an article on abs-cbnNEWS.com, Lloydie is said to be wary about doing another movie with Sarah dahil baka hindi ito kagatin ng mga fans lalo pa’t alam ng lahat na may bagong girlfriend na siya. Sa isang interview ng SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon, sinabi niyang, “Without the fans, wala rin naman kami. Pero malaking part din naman ng naging success ng mga projects ko is material-driven. Talaga namang maganda iyong pagkakagawa ng istorya.”

Nakapanghihinayang naman kung magkakaganoon because Sarah and Lloydie are certified huge crowd-drawers. The public adores their tandem kaya naman naging blockbuster ang kanilang dalawang pelikulang A Very Special Love at You Changed My Life. They were crowned Box-Office King and Queen by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation – isang pagpapatunay na malakas talaga ang hatak sa mga manonood nina Lloydie at Sarah.

But on a lighter note, Lloydie smiled when told that Sarah mentioned that their last two projects together were memorable for her. He said, “Kung tutuusin, iyon ang mga hindi ko makakalimutan sa career ko. Malalim, malaki, at napaka-special ng ibig sabihin (ng mga movies sa akin) so I’m really happy na meron siyang nasabing ganoon.”

Sa aking palagay ay hindi naman kailangan na ang magka-loveteam ay magkaroon ng relasyon sa totoong buhay para maging patok sa mga fans. May mga taong nakakikilig panoorin na magkasama onscreen because they look good together and they have great chemistry. Naaalala ko pa na noong panahon namin – parang walang impiyerno – lahat langit – basta magkasama lang sina Guy at Pip. Sa kaso ni Lloydie, he has been paired with Bea Alonzo at kahit hindi sila nagkaroon ng relasyon ay naging patok ang kanilang loveteam.

Sa ngayon, busy sa kani-kaniyang career sina Sarah at Lloydie. Sarah has a new movie titled Hating Kapatid with Judy Ann Santos samantalang Lloydie is paired for the first time with Angel Locsin in the upcoming ABS-CBN primetime teleserye titled Imortal.

I’m happy na masaya si Lloydie sa piling ni Shaina Magdayao. And in my opinion, Sarah can take her time tutal bata pa siya and she has all the time to enjoy and love life. I agree with Juday when she said on The Buzz na darating ang tamang lalaki na nakalaan para kay Sarah basta’t maghintay lang siya.
