It will retrace the actress' career beginning in 1986, when she made her television debut in "Kaming Mga Ulila."
Santos' subsequent lead roles in some 10 TV series will be revisited, including her breakthrough performance as Mara in ABS-CBN's "Mara Clara," and her most memorable characters on the small screen such as Esperanza, Krystala, and Ysabella.
Taking part in the TV special are Santos' erstwhile co-stars, including Piolo Pascual, Gladys Reyes and Wowie de Guzman, who will recall their working relatinships with the young superstar.

The actress' mentors will also be interviewed in the retrospective. They include her long-time manager Alfie Lorenzo and film directors Laurenti Dyogi and Jose Javier Reyes.
"Her Royal Journey" will then introduce Santos' latest on-screen persona, Anessa, who she will portray in her highly anticipated comeback series "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala."

Wowie de Guzman, Judy Ann still in touch

Why Wowie-Judai tandem split up

MANILA, Philippines -- Before she was paired on-screen with Piolo Pascual and husband Ryan Agoncillo, Judy Ann Santos' "love team" with Wowie de Guzman was among the most popular showbiz tandems in the '90s.
Hindi ko akalain na aabot kami sa ganoong level ni Juday noon," the 36-year-old actor said in a recent interview aired on "The Jon Santos Show."
De Guzman was a member of the dance group Universal Motion Dancers when he was cast opposite Santos in the soap classic "Mara Clara" in 1993.
"'Yung 'Mara Clara' ang pinaka-una kong drama series na ginawa, at nag-audition pa talaga ako para sa role na Christian," de Guzman was quoted as saying in the interview by entertainment news site Philippine Entertainment Portal.
Mukhang babagay daw ako na ka-partner ni Mara," he said.
The ABS-CBN series ran for four years until 1997. By the time the soap ended, de Guzman and Santos were seen as among the most sought after team-ups of their generation.
As a member of of a popular dance group who would make frequent appearances on noontime shows, de Guzman was already used to screaming fans. "Pero mas tumindi noong nagkasama na kami ni Juday," he said.
Split
Following the massive success of "Mara Clara," de Guzman and Santos were paired anew in another drama series, "Esperanza," in 1997.
It was in the same soap where Santos and Pascual's on-screen chemistry was tested, which spelled the slow demise of de Guzman's team-up with the actress.
'yung loveteam namin.
Admittedly, his separation from Santos as an on-screen couple hurt his solo career.
Still in touch
Although their working relationship had already ended, de Guzman said he and Santos have remained in communication.
The actor said he has also maintained close relationships with their other "Mara Clara" co-stars Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas, who are now married.
Silang tatlo ang tanging masasabi kong mga tunay kong mga kaibigan through thick and thin," de Guzman said.
Santos now has two children with Agoncillo, while de Guzman is married to businesswoman Sheryl Ann Reyes.
The actor, who recently made a guest appearance on the Kapamilya series "Little Champ," is now engaged in his family business, and continues to star in various local theater productions.

Judy Ann, Gladys Share Thoughts On Celebrity Twitter Issues

http://www.mb.com.ph/articles/360495/judy-ann-gladys-share-thoughts-on-celebrity-twitter-issues

By NR RAMOS

MANILA, Philippines - Judy Ann Santos says she perfectly understands her fellow celebrities who sometimes lose their cool when dealing with bashers on Twitter, noting Sharon Cuneta and how she reacted when an ABS-CBN executive supposedly posted seemingly malicious messages that alluded to the Megastar’s daughter, KC Concepcion, on the social networking site.
According to Santos, she might have done the same thing, if not more, given the situation.
“Baka maging halimaw ako, baka higit pa,” said she in an interview with push.com on May 26.
Santos said that people should learn to think twice before posting anything through the popular microblogging site.
Especially when you work for a major company. Wala na dapat ganyan dahil it’s a very sensitive topic to begin with,” she said.
The 33-year-old actress also told Push that she almost got into the same situation a few years back after hearing some not-so-pleasant comments about her son Lucho in the media.
“Pero at the same time naisip ko din na it’s not worth my time, it’s not worth the effort dahil una hindi ko sila kilala and maybe it made them feel good to say those words about my kid.
Meanwhile, in a separate interview, Gladys Reyes, who counts Cuneta as Godmother in her marriage to actor Christopher Roxas, said she feels bad that the situation got out of hand.
“Nakakalungkot lang na kailangang humantong sa ganoon,” she said in an interview with PEP on May 25.
But just like Santos, she understands where Cuneta is coming from.
She then went on to call for responsible “Tweeting.”
So, respeto lang talaga siguro. Importante rin na think before you tweet,” she said.

Gladys Reyes makes a wish—to host a morning talk show with Judy Ann Santos

Kaye Estoista-Koo
Sunday, May 20, 2012
In the tradition of the wish-granting world of Wako Wako and the Arukans, Gladys Reyes makes a wish: "To host a talk show or maybe both of us ni Judy Ann [Santos] since we're both mothers na rin, ala Tessie ng Tahanan [defunct morning show on ABS-CBN].
wish-granting world of W

With just one week left before the show's finale, Wako Wako rolled out the culmination of its "Dear Wako, Ano Ang Wish Mo?" promo through a mall show at Glorietta 5.

Held on May 19, it was a family-studded affair at the mall for this Kapamilya teleserye. The highlight was the live granting of wishes sent to the show by snail mail and e-mail.

One of the main stars of Wako Wako, Gladys Reyes, was there to help grant some of the wishes.

A 23-year old mom had sent in this wish: She wants to go back to school so she could get a good job to provide for her six-month-old baby. Through STI-Caloocan and Wako Wako, she was given a 4-year full scholarship to any course.

STI-La Union also granted a 4-year scholarship to a teenager from La Union who wants to help support the family.

Meanwhile, Kawasaki gave a tricycle to a disabled father (he had lost a leg) he could use to support his family.

GOOD MOM ROLE.  PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) was able to interview Gladys Reyes at the event, who revealed that she would miss her role in the fantasy-series, Wako Wako.

"It's something different, I'm not a kontrabida. I'm a loving, doting mother," she said.

She plays Nanay Isay, mother to child star Yogo Singh's character, Muymuy.

Gladys said she feels fulfilled and happy in the role because, "it's like I'm playing myself... a mother, I have a six-year-old kid in Wako Wako, I have a kid around same age, Christopher...

"Parang di ako umaarte kasi it comes natural."

Gladys brought her three kids to the event: sons Gian-Christopher and Grant-Carlin, and daughter Aquisha.

WISH. Now that the show is ending, Gladys is both sad and hopeful.

She told PEP: "I'm praying, I hope na eventually another opportunity will come wherein I will again play a loving mother to my kids."

She added, "Kasi [kung] kontrabida, they will hate me."

What's the best thing about Wako Wako?

"Ang nakikita lang nila is me as their mommy. I'm so thankful to ABS-CBN for giving me this opportunity," she said.

In the tradition of the wish-granting world of Wako Wako and the Arukans, Gladys expressed this wish: "To host a talk show or maybe both of us ni Judy Ann [Santos] since we're both mothers na rin, ala Tessie ng Tahanan [defunct morning show on ABS-CBN].

"I already have a mommy show on Net 25 pero gusto ko eto yung naiiba, may touch ng MOMents pero hindi lang basta pang mommy, even daddies, kids, the whole family can relate [to]."

Wako Wako airs on ABS-CBN in its Primetime Bida block Monday-Friday after PBB Teen Edition 4: 2012 and ends this May 25.

Mara Clara 26 weeks ipalalabas

SANGA-SANGANDILA Ni Veronica R. Samio (Pilipino Star Ngayon) Updated October 22, 2010 12:00 AM Comments (7) View comments

Photo is loading...

The corporate group needs a total revamp.

Kinunan si Juday ng endorsement for the new show na ‘di man lang nagpasintabi sa akin.

Serves them right!

Gladys happy for new mom Juday

By Dolly Anne Carvajal

MANILA, Philippines—Gladys Reyes is overjoyed that her good friend Judy Ann Santos is now a new mom.
“Kinakarir talaga ni Juday ang pag breast-feed,” she says. “Ayaw humiwalay sa kaniya ni baby Lucho. Juday told me ayaw niya kumuha ng yaya for the first months para manamnam niya talaga kung paano maging isang mommy.”

Doesn’t she feel bad that she’s not one of the godparents of Lucho? “Ryan and Juday know that my family and I will always be around for them and their kids. It’s just that our religious beliefs in Iglesia ni Cristo doesn’t allow us to be baptismal sponsors. In all the ways that matter, I will be a ninang-ninangan to Lucho.”

How does she and Juday feel that “Mara Clara,” their telenovela many teardrops ago, will soon be revived? “We are delighted that buhay pa din ang alaala ng show that started it all for us. We turned it over to the young stars who will portray Mara and Clara. Sa pag-project pa lang nila sa pictorial, it’s obvious that they have potential.”

Who knows? Years from now, Juday’s Lucho and Glady’s daughter may end up together. That would be the best ending of their classic tale as one of TV’s most loved tandems.

JUDY ANN SANTOS, GUSTONG HANDS-ON MOM SA KANYANG BABY

Mara Clara set for revival on ABS-CBN

Mara Clara set for revival on ABS-CBN

ABS-CBN top management revealed last night during the trade launch at the NBC Tent that the television network will be reviving the soap opera which catapulted Judy Anne Santos to full stardom.
Per the announcement yesterday, Mara Clara, along with other shows, are slated to pilot in the coming days.

Mara Clara is the first soap opera I was able to watch. It has paved the way for soap operas to conquer the primetime block.
Who do you want to play the pitiful Mara? Who would be fit to play the maldita Clara? Let us find out soon.
