Judy Ann Santos to leave ABS-CBN after Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala

Alfie Lorenzo, talent manager of Teleserye Queen Judy Ann Santos, has hinted in a recent article that his ward is leaving ABS-CBN after her top-rating drama series Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala (HKLM) ends in a couple of weeks (August 23 according to some reports).

In the article published in abante-tonite.com today, the veteran entertainment writer and talent manager lashed out at KathNiel fans (supporters of the Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla) for spreading rumors that Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala is ending soon because of poor ratings.

‘Mababa ang ratings ng teleserye ni Juday? Tingnan n’yo nga ang mga ratings ng shows ng ABS-CBN at mas mataas pa ang ratings ng Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala kesa sa extended na Be Careful With My Heart, ‘noh?!” he wrote.

He also voiced out his disappointment over the unfair treatment Santos is getting from her home network. Lorenzo said the network used Santos to boost the popularity of Sam Milby and KC Concepcion and then just kicked her like a dog.

“Nagpagamit si Juday para makilala sina Sam Milby at KC Concepcion na ‘di maisip ng mga sipsip kung paano paliliparin sa kasikatan ang dalawa, heto pa ang ginawa kay Juday… parang aso na sinipa-sipa na lang basta,” the article said.

Rumor has it that the abrupt ending of the series stemmed from Santos’ disappointment over her network.  The actress allegedly got offended when she heard that management plans to move HKLM again to a much later time slot to give way to the upcoming Daniel Padilla-Kathryn Bernardo starrerGot To Believe. Santos has previously agreed to move HKLM to a later time slot to give way to Muling Buksan Ang Puso but moving it again to give way to another show is just too much. Hence, Santos allegedly decided to end her series than have it moved to a time slot with very limited viewership.

Because of what has transpired, it seems that Santos has no plans of renewing her contract with the Kapamilya network which reportedly expired in July.

In his article, Lorenzo said Santos will not be seen in ABS-CBN after Huwag Ka lang Mawawala. He added that his ward will be making projects in other networks instead.

“Eh blessing in disguise pa ang nangyayari ngayon dahil pag natapos na ang Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala ay mawawala muna sa ABS-CBN si Juday.

“Dahil hindi siya nag-MMK eh sa Magpakailanman siya gagawa.

“At wala rin lang movie ang Star Cinema para kay Juday kaya sa TV5 film outfit na Studio 5 gagawa ng movie si Juday!

“Akala nila ay mawawalan ng trabaho si Juday? Ang daming naghihintay ng availability ni Juday na ngayon ay mapapagbigyan na,” wrote Lorenzo.

He has previously said that he and Santos is slated to meet with TV-5 boss Manny V. Pangilinan as well as GMA executives for possible collaborations.
