NAWALA agad?” Some people wonder why the Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo soap, “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala” has to end after just a brief stint on air.
Generally, people would perceive it ending because of low ratings, contrary to what Juday’s co-actor Sam Milby said when he was interviewed on TV Patrol, “the show is getting very high ratings”.
There’s a word that after the soap ends, Judy Ann would transfer networks but it’s not known yet on whether she’ll be ending up in GMA7 or TV5.
According to other reports, the actress is now weighing options whether to transfer or not. Santos’s contract with ABS-CBN expired last July yet hence the actress is now free to take any offer from other networks while the Kapamilya network, Judy Ann’s home network for two decades, is still drafting a new contract for her. But manager Alfie Lorenzo made a remark about this saying “baka drop hindi draft.”
Rumor has it that the actress felt bad when ABS-CBN decided to move her comeback teleserye to a later timeslot to give way to “Muling Buksan ang Puso” when her show was doing better in television ratings.
Allegedly this time around, the network wanted to move the show’s timeslot again to accommodate Daniel Padilla-Kathryn Bernardo soap “Got to Believe.”
Judy Ann was allegedly offended after some executives told her about the move and in disappointment, she reportedly remarked to just end her soap instead of transferring it to a later timeslot where there’s less viewership.
‘Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala’ premiered June 17 and will air its finale on August 23, only two months after it first aired. Known for being a star builder station through the years, it is expected ABS-CBN would give new stars more big breaks just like what they are doing to Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Julia Montes, among others.
Does this mean ABS-CBN has come to a point when they are no longer interested with Judy Ann Santos? Just asking…
