Top rating Kapamilya drama series Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala is reportedly running until the end of August only. It premiered on June 17, 2013, marking Judy Ann Santos’ return to primetime drama after a self imposed hiatus to take care of her new family.
According to Alfie Lorenzo, Santos’ talent manager, his ward wants to end the series while its on top of the ratings charts. HKLM, which tackles domestic violence and women empowerment, is fast paced and Santos fears that stretching the plot may have adverse effect on the series ratings-wise.
The series dominated the 8:30-9:15pm timeslot when it first aired in June. Although it was moved to a later time slot to give way for ABS-CBN’s new teleserye, Muling Buksan Ang Puso, it continues to lead in the ratings game up to this day.
According to another rumor, Santos was not happy when she heard that management plans to move HKLM to a much later time slot to give way to the upcoming Daniel Padilla-Kathryn Bernardo starrer Got To Believe. Santos allegedly requested the network to just end her series than move it to a later time slot. We also heard that her contract with ABS-CBN is due to expire soon. Will she renew or move to another network?
In a recent report, the Kapamilya network has decided to place Got To Believe on the time slot following HKLM. After HKLM ends, Got To Believe will take its time slot and will be followed by Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin, the long overdue series starring Gerald Anderson, Cristine Reyes and Dawn Zulueta.
