All’s well that ends well.
This could be better said as top actress and television host Judy Ann Santos said all is well between her and former love team Piolo Pascual.
The two actors were spotted exchanging pleasantries at the recent trade launch of the ABS-CBN network, according to a Sunstar report.
In an interview with “The Buzz,” Judy Ann, who is happily married with television host Ryan Agoncillo and host of the “Master Chef Pinoy Edition” disclosed that her meeting with Piolo was not their first.
“Palagi kaming nagkakasama niyan. Hindi lang napapansin ng camera but we see each other,” she said. “Kung ano man yung noon, ayos na yon, hindi lang nakikita ng mga tao na nag-uusap kami, but were okay, were still okay,” she added.
Piolo, for his part, confirmed that he and the actress are “friends.”
Both actors are keen to do movie or television projects together. “Kung meron, mapag-uusapan naman. Ako and Piolo, were friends naman,” Judy Ann said.
Meanwhile, Piolo admitted that he does not read any published news about him, particularly those he thinks would make him feel bad.
“Kasi para ko namang sinaktan ang sarili ko kapag babasahin mo pa ‘yon. At the same time magagalit ka lang, so huwag na lang,” Pascual said during a press conference.
“You want to spare yourself from feeling bad. So, tinutulungan ko po ’yung sarili ko para hindi ako magalit,” he added, according to NJ Ramos reporting for Bulletin.
Despite his statement, it appeared that Piolo is very much aware of the adverse criticisms of him, triggered by his breakup with actress KC Concepcion.
This is the same reason that he still refuses to join the microblogging site Twitter, he said.
“May Instagram ako, may Facebook ako. I just don’t use Twittter. Twitter kasi is cruel,” he said in the Bulletin report.
Pascual went on to cite a particular instance that a nasty comment made him lose his cool.
“Minsan may nag-text sa akin, pinatulan ko. Basta may sinabi siya, sabi ko, ‘Halika dito, suntukan tayo,’” he related.
Pascual saids he now knows how to roll with the punches, insisting that he harbors no ill feelings against people that keep insinuating malicious presumptions about him.
“Wala pong problema sa akin. Whatever they say, I just shrug my shoulders and, you know, move on with my life. Wala po akong problema sa kanila,” he said.
“Ipinagdarasal na lang natin ‘yon,” he added.
Piolo said he is not hiding any secret.
“I’ve always been me. Wala naman akong itinatago, e. Ito lang talaga ako. Whatever I can offer, whatever I can give, ‘yun na ‘yun. Mahal ko trabaho ko. Mahal ko ‘yung showbiz, mahal ko ‘yung mga tao. But other than that, hindi naman ako… hindi naman ako masikretong tao. Ito lang talaga ako,” he said.
As for KC Concepcion, Piolo said let bygones be bygones.
“I’ve always wished her well. Wala namang problema sa akin. We wish for happiness. So masaya siya, masaya din ako,” he said.
But he admitted that right now he is taking a break as far as his heart is concerned.
“Hindi na muna, saka na ‘yon,” he said.
