MANILA, Philippines – Congratulations to Judy Ann Santos for the healthy delivery of her brand new baby. Fondly called “Lucho,” the beautiful bouncing baby boy weighed 6.9 lbs and looks like his father, Ryan Agoncillo, according to proud new grandma Carol Santos.

Juday’s fans have been anticipating the birth of Lucho by following every move of the 32-year-old actress for the past nine months. Just a few months ago, Juday posed for a photo shoot with photographer Jun de Leon for her Flawless endorsement. The resultant billboard, along the Guadalupe bridge, evokes a completely different impression from the brand’s other marketing efforts; this one seems more peaceful, more inspiring, more womanly.

Perhaps the creative team of Flawless could take the credit, but Juday’s inner glow definitely burns through the billboard’s tarpaulin to touch women nationwide. Rubby Sy, the doyenne of the beauty and skincare chain, says, “Judy Ann is always beautiful but I don’t believe I’ve ever seen her this gorgeous.”

But now as a brand-new mommy, Juday’s adoring public is wondering how long her “maternity leave” from showbiz will be.

Well, in an interview during the shoot for her pregnant billboard, Judy Ann forecasted taking a break from her entertainment career: “Take things slowly lang po muna to prioritize the baby. I will give myself a few years maybe to be able to focus all my strength on the baby.”

“I want to be hands on, to be personally responsible so I can see him grow up. Hindi ko kasi nagawa yan kay Johann,” said Juday referring to her daughter Johanna Lois, whom she adopted in 2005.
