On what was to be recorded as one of the hottest days for the year, principal photography started on the feature length film "Ikaw Ang Pag-ibig" starring Judy Ann Santos, Ryan Agoncillo, Marvin Agustin, Vivian Velez, Christopher de Leon, and Yogo Singh.
We're well into our third week of production and the momentum and pace have picked up but the energy and vibe on the set have remained positive and fun. The Marilou Diaz-Abaya Film Institute and Arts Center puts a premium on practical hands-on experience on the set as part of its approach to film education.
Apart from classroom lectures and drills, students get to work alongside and be mentored by their instructors on an actual shooting set, under the direction of none other than MDAFI President and Director of Studies, Marilou Diaz-Abaya!
"Ikaw ang Pag-ibig" is a joint production of UNITEL, MDAFI, and the Archdiocese of Caceres, in part of the TRI-CENTENNIAL celebration of our Lady of Penafrancia, the patroness of the Bicol Region. Viva La Virgen!
