WE seem to be forever fascinated with the ups and downs of Judy Ann Santos, especially when it comes to her weight.

During her younger years, we were kind to her rotund features but as she matured, haters were screaming for her to lose the pubescent baby fat. Lose it she did with a strict diet and exercise plan, and Judy Ann’s star shone brighter than ever.

And then came her pregnancy and when she gave birth, many felt sorry for Judy Ann for gaining all that baby weight.

She went slightly under the radar and when she suddenly re-emerged via the ABS-CBN Christmas station ID, many were positively shocked by how svelte she was again.

We spoke to Judy Ann recently at her launch as the endorser of Eden Cheese, covering everything from her weight to the wait for a new project and more.

I hate you for being so thin and losing all that baby weight so quickly! So what size are you now?

(Laughs) I really don’t know. I think only Paul Cabral (fashion designer) knows the exact measurements but I’ve lost some weight. I know I’m smaller and leaner now.

What exercise regimen are you in now? Are you doing Cohen?

Running…to the kids! (Laughs) I really chase after them because we play a lot when I’m home. So that’s where I get my exercise! As for my diet, I’m used to eating small amounts of food and at regular intervals.  It’s already part of my lifestyle.

Isn’t it ironic you’re now endorsing a cheese brand?

I never told anyone to starve themselves or deprive themselves of cheese. (Laughs) Eating is good actually but when done the right way. And that includes eating cheese. It can give you the energy to workout pa nga e, that’s why I really take Eden Cheese with my kids.

Anyway, you are one hot momma now!

Wow! Kahit kailan, hinding-hindi ko naiisip na darating ako sa puntong tatawagin akong hot momma. Well, they used to call me “hot siopao”! (Laughs)

Do you feel some sort of vindication from those who had bashed you over your weight gain?

Well, most of the fans were very supportive toward my recent weight gain because it’s only natural to do so kasi nga nabuntis ako, ’di ba? For those who didn’t...well, when I lose weight, I never feel vindication. Parang pride and happiness lang for feeling good. Like I exercise not to lose weight but because it feels good. Even before when I did Muay Thai, it was more because I wanted to learn self-defense not because I wanted to lose weight. The first time I also started to lose weight, tinuloy-tuloy ko na kasi masarap pala mag-sleeveless! Masarap sa kilikili that’s why I said to myself to continue doing it. (Laughs)

So what advice can you give to women who really want to lose weight but always fail to do so?

Do it for yourself and not because people are commenting that you’ve gained weight or that you’ll look better because you’re just this size or ganito ka kabigat. It should start within you. That’s what should motivate you.

Pinili niya ang Eden Cheese dahil paborito ito ng mga Pinoy sa maraming taon at pinagkakatiwalaan ng ilan ng henerasyon ng mga nanay. Gusto ni Juday ang makremang lasa nito na talaga namang Pinoy na Pinoy. Kaya hindi na rin nagulat si Juday na nagustuhan rin ito ng kanyang mga anak.

Buzzstation interviewed Judy Ann during her launch as image model of the new Eden Cheese campaign. As this transcript will show, she has matured beautifully as a superstar, wife, mother and friend.
Judy Ann endorses Eden Cheese with daughter Yohan. Many brands would want Judy Ann as their ambassador but she is very selective when it comes to brands that she endorses. She chooses those that have value for her and her family.

What\'s the secret of your hot, sexy figure?

Happy life and siguro ‘yung commitment ko na gusto talagang pumayat at pagpupursigi. As long as nagagawa ko pa rin ‘yung duties ko as a mom and wife. Every morning, fresh juice, veggies and yogurt. Pero kinakain ko pa rin ‘yung gusto kong kainin pero following morning may kapalit ‘yang exercise, like pagtakbo-takbo ko sa bahay o ‘di kaya kargahin ko si Lucio ng ilang oras o ‘di kaya akyat-panaog ako sa hagdanan. Maraming ways para hindi ka gumastos ng pera.
Any plans for Yohan to enter showbiz?
Siguro commercial lang muna. Pero gusto niya maging singer. Pinapipili namin kung ano gusto niya kasi mahilig ding sumayaw.

What’s the reason you don’t have a Twitter account?

Hindi ako sumali sa Twitter siguro kasi alam ko na sa panahon ngayon lahat ng tao may opinion, lahat ng tao may kapasidad na magsalita ng mga masasakit. At hindi naman ito nasasala, at hindi naman ito dumadaan sa MTRCB. Gusto ko kasi ng payapa na araw; ayaw ko na naii-stress; ayaw ko ‘yung maiinis ka at saka sanay naman siguro ako sa mga alipusta. Parang okey na ako dun; quota na ako dun.

What can you say to celebrities bashed in Twitter?

Ang masasabi ko lang may mga pagkakataon na kasi bilang isang ina, \'di ba, kung ikaw lang naman ang aalipustahin, ako okay lang kasi kaya ko, pero pag anak mo na yung kinansi, kahit sinong santa, lalabas at lalabas ang sungay kasi anak mo ‘yun. Dinala mo ‘yan ng siyam na buwan sa sinapupunan mo, niluwal mo, pinalaki mo tapos andyan lang ‘yung mga tao para alipustahin lang ‘yung anak mo at husgahan agad-agad.

And about Sharon Cuneta\'s irresponsible bashers? 

Kay Ate Sharon, nanay siya. Sa akin man sabihin ‘yun siguro masasaktan ako ng bonggang-bongga. Parang hindi na yata makatao ‘yung mga sinasabi. Siguro they have own reasons pero siguro darating ang panahon ‘pag naging magulang na sila at gumagawa ng mga ito, mararamdaman din nila.

As your former leading man, how about the negative things they say about Piolo (Pascual)?

Sa totoo lang, it’s a personal thing and ito siguro ang dapat hindi natin pinakikialaman. Kasi dalawa lang naman talaga na tao ang involved kaya hindi tayo kasama diyan. Naiintindihan ko na may mga tao na gustong protektahan ang mga idolo nila, pero sa ginagawa nila napasama rin pati ‘yung mga iniidolo nila. Kung ano man ‘yung naging isyu about KC (Concepcion) and Piolo, wala namang hindi nadadaan sa matagal na panahong pagpapahinga, ‘di ba? Bigyan natin ng time, bigyan natin ng espasyo silang dalawa. Relax lang. Hayaan na natin. I guess silang dalawa are trying to move on pero may mga tao sa paligid nila na hindi maka-let go.

Do you set limitations when doing projects now that you are a mother of two kids and wife to Ryan?

Hindi na pupuwede ng katulad noong ako’y dalaga pa na puwede sa kalsada ako natutulog, sa set na ako naliligo. Okey lang ‘yun ngayon kasi ibang istorya na kasi chapter na ito ng buhay ko na ‘pag wala ka sa bahay araw-araw, may mga bagay ka na hindi nakikita at mababantayan sa mga bata
.
Plans for this Holy Week with the family?
Ang hirap lumabas ng Maynila. Ang traffic at saka kung mag-beach ka magkita-kita rin kayong mga magkakaibigan kaya pag-Holy Week nasa bahay lang din naman kami: nagba-bonding kami sa bahay. Dun kami nagdadasal. Si Mommy talaga pag-Holy Week nagbi-Bisita Iglesia; kami naman nagrorosaryo.

Cheesy time with celebrity mom Juday

It took a local cheese brand 31 years to get a celebrity face for its advertising campaign, but it it did so in a powerful way. By harnessing the wholesome power of actress Judy Ann Santos-Agoncilllo, with her daughter Yohan at that, Eden Cheese effectively reaches out to practical, nurturing moms throughout the country.
“The Eden mom is maalaga, and she is confident about her choices; she already knows what’s best for her brood,” Eden Cheese representatives noted at the introduction of the actress recently.
Family is obviously top priority for Juday, as the star is affectionately called. Offers continue to pour in — a movie with actor Coco Martin, a movie with box-office king John Lloyd Cruz, a teleserye, etc. — but she says she only chooses projects that will allow her to have time for her family. “Most of the time, I cannot be away from my kids; dapat huwag sabay-sabay ang trabaho,” she said.
Judy Ann’s love for cooking is known to many, and in fact, her hosting of the Philippine franchise of Junior Masterchef was such a hit, it is said the adult version will be made soon.
So when Juday says Eden Cheese is perfect for its “delicious, creamy cheese taste and ‘Lusog Lakas’ nutrients,” parents will believe her.
And Yohan, her daughter, attests to the taste of Eden, as she is said to love pan de sal with Eden cheese as palaman (filling).

Grabe parang may humihigop ng taba niya sa katawan na naipon nang magbuntis at manganak siya sa panganay nila ni Ryan Agoncillo na si Lucho. At ang the height, binansagan na siyang hot mama dahil sa kanyang kaseksihan.
Totoong nagda-diet siya, pero kinakain pa rin naman niya lahat ng gusto niya as in hindi naman niya dini-deprive ang sarili sa mga gusto niyang kainin.
“Yes, kinakain ko ang gusto kong kainin pero at the same time may kapalit ‘yun na exercise kinabukasan, like takbu-takbo or kakargahin ko si Lucho ng dalawang oras, akyat-panaog ako sa hagdan. May mga ways kung paano ka mag-exercise nang hindi ka gagas¬tos. Sa Internet lang ang daming work-out videos na puwedeng i-download, libre pa,” sabi ni Juday sa interview.

At siyempre kasama sa kanyang diet ang commitment at di¬siplina para ma-achieve ang kung anumang katawan niya ngayon. Feeling ni Juday kung hindi siya confident sa sarili niya paano niya gagampanan ang resposibilidad niyang bilang nanay at asawa.

Samantala, Pinoy Mas¬ter Chef muna ang naka-line up niyang gawin sa ABS-CBN at wala pang final decision kung matutuloy ang serye na pagsasamahan nila nina Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.
Pagdating sa pelikula, definite na ang pagsasamahan nila ni Coco Martin pero hindi pa sila nagsisimulang mag-shooting dahil busy pa ang aktor.
Yung sa kanila rin ni John Lloyd Cruz, wala pa ring kasiguruhan pero napag-uusapan na raw kahit papaano.
