In the latest celebrity update, Angel Locsin and Marian Rivera finally share the cover of Men’s magazine ‘Rogue’ for their September issue along with other iconic and beautiful actresses Judy Ann Santos, Charlene Gonzales and Anne Curtis.

In fact, the ‘Rogue’ Magazine September 2013 issue is themed as the ‘Style Issue,’ all talented ladies in this generation were seen wearing pieces from Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter Collection 2013. The ladies were styled by Pam Quinones and were photographed by Mark Nicdao.

The magazine will be available in mid-September.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN confirmed that the rumored project of Angel and Marian will be in a magazine but netizens are also looking forward that they will do a movie project together.

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN launches its much-awaited Christmas Station ID tonight after TV Patrol following other viral and popular music videos released by the Kapamilya network over the past years such as the very successful Bro, Ikaw ang Star ng Pasko in 2009.

With the theme Lumiliwanag ang Mundo sa Kwento ng Pasko, this year’s Station ID highlights how the Filipino spirit always shines through despite calamities that ravage our country.

“It shows how each Filipino become bearers of light, as they help their countrymen get back on their feet, and how they remain resilient because kindness never runs out in this nation filled with people who are always ready and willing to help,” said Robert Labayen, head of creative communications management.

According to Labayen, many scenes in the Station ID are inspired by real events. Some of these stories happened at the height of the habagat — a fireman who saved the lives of those stranded in their own homes; a chef who opened the doors of his restaurant to feed victims; a young woman who offered her own jacket to a street child who was suffering under the cold rain; Philippine coast guards who went out of their way to save lives; even volunteers and civilians who selflessly offered their time and energy to relief work.

These simple stories of heroism set apart this year’s campaign as it encourages viewers to share the light through these heroic deeds. Modern-day heroes involved in these stories bravely and selflessly spread the light during past calamities thus, the Station ID aims to inspire and shed light on more Filipinos to do the same.

This year’s offering features hundreds of Kapamilya stars paying tribute to ordinary Filipino heroes, at the same time helping spread the light across the globe.

The parol, a Pinoy Christmas icon, is this year’s Christmas Station ID centerpiece. Film director John-D Lazatin suggested the idea of having kids orphaned during Typhoon Sendong design a parol. This, in turn, is used as an instrument of light spreading around the world.

“When we own the Kapamilya parol, we’re not only spreading the light, we’re also being part of an effort to help our disaster- affected Kapamilya, as proceeds from the parol sales would be donated to Sagip Kapamilya, the ABS-CBN Foundation that provides relief to affected communities of disasters, as well as engage in rehabilitation and disaster risk reduction projects,” said Lazatin.

The Kapamilya parol will be retailed in SM Kultura and ABS-CBN Studio Store. It can also be ordered online through abscbnstore.multiply.com.

The Station ID song Kwento ng Pasko was performed by an ensemble of ABS-CBN artists — Sarah Geronimo, Martin Nievera, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Vina Morales, Billy Crawford, Angeline Quinto, Yeng Constantino, Erik Santos, Jed Madela, Christian Bautista, Bugoy Drilon, Marcelito Pomoy, Jovit Baldivino, Aiza Seguerra, Richard Poon, Juris, Princess, Sitti, Kean Cipriano, Bamboo, kid singers from ABS-CBN Star Magic, X Factor Philippines grand winner KZ Tandingan, Daniel Padilla and Piolo Pascual. This year’s Christmas anthem was written by Labayen together with Johnny delos Santos, Patrick de Leon and Ira Zabat. Music is by Marcus and Amber Davis.

The Christmas Station ID and the Kapamilya Parol selling are part of ABS-CBN’s nationwide Christmas campaign. Other component of the campaign include the Kapamilya Simbang Gabi, viewer promo, and the annual Christmas special.

The Station ID is directed by Paolo Ramos with Peewee Gonzales. It will also be aired on Studio 23, DZMM TeleRadyo, ANC, Lifestyle Network, Cinema One, MYX, Hero TV, Velvet, Balls and Digital TV channels.

Ella Cruz says she had many kontrabida roles before ‘Aryana’

Ngayong nagkakapangalan na si Ella Cruz, alam niya na kailangan niyang maging conscious sa kanyang mga kilos. “Mas napapansin po ako ng mga tao ngayon. Bawat galaw ko nakikita ako ng mga tao at mas nagi-gain po ako ng maraming followers sa Twitter atsaka iba po kasi ‘pag lumabas ka sa mall, mas nakikilala ka po ngayon,” paliwanag ng teen actress at bida ng teleseryeng Aryana.

Hindi instant ang pagsikat ni Ella dahil anim na taon ang kanyang hinintay bago siya nabigyan ng launching project. Bago pa man nabigyan ng lead role ay naranasan na rin ni Ella ang magkaroon muna ng supporting roles. “Nakapagkontrabida na rin po ako sa kabilang istasyon. ‘Yun lagi ang role ko. Lagi po akong kontrabida ro’n. Gusto ko rin magkaroon ng parang action scenes,” dagdag niya.

Sa mga female celebrities ngayon, sinabi ng young actress na ang kanyang mga iniidolo ay sina Judy Ann Santos, Angel Locsin at Anne Curtis. “Si Miss Judy Ann, siyempre po, Primetime Queen po ‘yan. Gusto ko balang araw, marating ko ‘yung Primetime Queen.

“Si Ate Anne ‘yung confidence niya (ang gusto ko), tsaka ipinapakita niya kung sino talaga siya,” paglalarawan niya kay Anne.

Ang pagiging simple naman ni Angel sa kabila ng kanyang kasikatan ang nagustuhan ni Ella sa aktres. Kuwento pa ni Ella, “Si Ate Angel po kasi simula palang sobrang idolo ko na siya. Parang siya ‘yung pinakauna kong naging close na artista. Nung lumipat po ako [ng network] kasama ko pa rin siya. Wala pong nagbabago sa ugali niya, ganun pa rin siya. Mabait pa rin siya at sobrang mahal niya ang pamilya niya at ginagawa niya ang lahat ng makakaya niya sa lahat.”

Pagdating naman sa mga dramatic actors, si Coco Martin naman nag pinapangarap niyang makilala.

Dream ni Ella na makilala bilang aktres kaya marami pa siyang karakter na gustong gampanan. “Gusto ko po kasi ‘yung mga challenging [roles, kunwari] ‘yung baliw. Naging bulag na po ako once [sa isang project]. Gusto ko may adventure din po.”

Ella Cruz as Aryana

Ipinakikilala ang tambalan ng mga bagets na sina Ella Cruz at Paul Salas sa Aryana, ang cute dahil nahihiya pa ang mga bagets na amining crush nila ang isa’t isa.         Sabi ni Ella, bawal pa siyang magka-BF at 15 years old, kaya ayaw pa niyang magka-crush.

Career muna ang focus niya, lalo’t title roler siya sa Aryana.

Kailangan galingan niya ang acting para matupad ang dream na magkaroon ng house sa Manila, sariling car at makapag-travel sa buong mundo.

Gusto niyang sundan ang career path ng idols niyang sina Anne Curtis, Angel Locsin at Judy Ann Santos.

“Napi-pressure ako dahil lahat ng mermaid project naging successful at kinakabahan ako dahil biggest project ko ito. Matagal ko itong hinintay, dumating din, kaya gagawin ko ang lahat,” pangako ni Ella.

Si Paul, open sa pag-aming crush niya sina Anne Curtis at Cristine Reyes at gaya ni Ella, marami rin siyang dream para sa kanyang pamilya. Ginaya ni Paul ang Tito Dingdong Dantes niya na nakalagay sa wallet ang list ng dreams and wishes.

“Top sa list ko ang magkaroon kami ng sariling bahay, maibili ng house ang grandparents ko, makabili ng Porsche, gusto kong dalhin ang dad ko sa Staples Center sa LA para makapanood ng NBA. Gusto ko paghirapan ang lahat ng ’yan bago ko makuham,” sabi ni Paul.

Ella reveals crush on Xian; Bianca’s take on transgender issue

MANILA, Philippines — Teen star Ella Cruz is not about playing coy when it comes to answering showbiz questions.

“Crush ko po si Xian Lim,” the 15-year-old declared on “TV Patrol,” May 2. “Gusto ko po siyang makatrabaho.

“Saka si Kim Chiu po, gusto ko po siyang makatrabaho,” she noted from her wish list that also included Anne Curtis and Judy Ann Santos.

Ella’s biggest break to date is her lead role in the TV series “Aryana.” But the young actress didn’t just land the job like it fell from the sky. Paying her dues, she toiled long and hard for a crack at stardom, beginning with—not surprisingly—joining kiddie pageants.

“Talagang lahat po ng contest na puwede kong salihan sinasalihan ko po,” she unabashedly admitted. She didn’t complain if her roles then were minors like “padaan-daan lang sa likod, best friend lang nu’ng bida, okay lang po.”

Ella is at a promising stage in her career now, so when asked what role would give her the ultimate challenge, she quipped, “Gusto ko po ‘yung kakaiba, eh, kunwari baliw.”


Meanwhile, former beauty queen Bianca Manalo, Ella’s co-star in “Aryana,” was ased to give her stand on the controversial issue of transgenders being considered to join the Miss Universe pageant.

“Ako po personally, meron naman pong sariling pageant for them (transgenders),” she pointed out.


As for Miriam Quiambao’s rants about homosexuals, Bianca opted to steer clear of the issue, noting, “Opinion na niya po ‘yon, eh. ‘Yun po ang stand niya [so] rirerespeto ko na lang po ‘yon.”
