MANILA, Philippines - Storm Gener did not stop participants of this year's Cinemalaya festival from trooping to the Cultural Center of the Philippines on July 29, 7pm, for the awards night.

The week-long festival was held from July 20-29 at
three main venues: CCP in Manila, Greenbelt in Makati and TriNoma in
Quezon City. A total of 25 new films competed for top honors; 60 were showcased in various exhibition sections.
