Talent manager and columnist Alfie Lorenzo expressed his dismay over his most popular talent, Judy Ann Santos and veteran director Jose Javier Reyes for accepting an independent film without him knowing.

He said that he felt disrespected when he found out that Juday accepted a role over a Cinemalaya entry entitled “Mga Mumunting Lihim,” for which she refused to be paid. He also vented his grief about Reyes as he should have tell him that he will get one of his talents.

Matagal na kaming magkakilala ni Joey Reyes. Ang hinihintay ko lang, ‘yung respeto man lang, na sabihin ni Joey, ‘Gagamitin ko artista mo ah, pero libre.
E ‘di sige kung papayag siya, e ‘di okay, ‘di ba? E hindi, wala. Tapos nabalitaan ko na nga lang, mayroon palang indie film si Juday sa Cinemalaya. Ano ‘yun?
Ang punto ko lang diyan, ‘yung respeto nawala sa showbiz — respeto, paggalang sa mga dinatnan mo.

Reyes, however, admitted that he is wrong and hoped that Alfie won’t get mad at Santos.

Walang kwestyon diyan, ako ang mali doon. Sana lang huwag magalit si Alfie kay Judai. Ako ang may kasalanan.

For her side, Santos said that the rift was nothing new, it happens all the time. She’s just sad that things have gone publicly.

Kami naman ni Tito Alfie palagi naman kaming may mga ganyan. Napag-usapan na rin namin ‘yan. Hindi naman maiiwasan ‘yun eh.
May mga pagkakataon na may mga sitwasyon na gugustuhin mong ayusin nalang behind the cameras because it’s too personal. ‘Yun ‘yung bagay na hindi na dapat ina-anunsyo na sa mga tao, kasi hindi naman ‘yun parte ng karera.
