Now that she is slowly easing back into the limelight after an almost one-year hiatus from showbiz, Judy Ann Santos couldn’t help but air her opinion on the recent rift between Kapamilya stars Sarah Geronimo and Cristine Reyes. Although they had reportedly grown very close while working on a film together last year, the 32-year-old actress denies that she and Sharon Cuneta automatically took sides when the issue first came out that Sarah was being attacked via Twitter by Cristine. “Wala namang pagkakamping nangyari. Hello, wala kaming kinampihan. Sino naman kami?” she asked during her launch as Lactum milk’s newest endorser last March 17 at the C55 Events Place in Quezon City.
Judai, who is set to host ABS-CBN’s cooking reality show Junior Master Chef at the end of this month, wanted to make it clear that she will always be a big sister to Sarah. “Away nila yan, hindi kami dapat nakikisali. Nakakatawa lang isipin na pati kami nadadamay. Pero we are just here to guide Sarah and hopefully maging tulay para magkaayos-ayos sana lahat pero hindi yun yung nangyari.
Judai also hoped that the rumors about Cristine not appreciating the Megastar’s supposed meddling are not true. “Alam mo, wala akong alam dun. Sana talaga hindi,” she stressed.
The actress hoped things will be better for Sarah this year, although she said battling intrigues about their personal life is a trade-off that all celebrities must face. “Sarah is a smart girl. I guess she has said enough. She has explained her side and kung naintindihan man yun ng mga tao, thank you very much. Sa mga taong hindi nakaintindi, pasensya siguro pero ako, I’m just happy na nasabi ni Sarah yung gusto niya sabihin and tapos na, okay na. Everybody happy. May bagong pelikula yung bata. Pagdadaanan niya yan eh. Pagdaanan at pagdaanan niya yan and I guess, she really has to surpass this challenge. Ayos lang yan, meron pa yan,” she said.
Although she is slowly accepting more projects this year, Judai said she has not had the chance to spend time with either Sharon or Sarah lately because taking care of her kids Yohan and Lucho is her top priority.
