Paulit-ulilt na sinasabi ni Sam Milby na isang mala­king karangalan ang makatrabaho si Juday sa tele­seryeng Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala sa ABS-CBN. Na dapat lang naman, dahil sure ako na malaki ang maitutulong sa kanyang career ang makasama niya si Juday.

“Hindi man ako lumaki dito sa Pilipinas and kahit na I didn’t get to watch her previous shows, I real­ly have to say na maga­ling talaga si Judy Ann. Sobrang naii-intimidate ako sa kanya tuwing gumagawa kami ng eksena kasi nakaka-amaze talaga ang talent niya sa acting,” sey ni Sam.

Ang Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala ay bahagi ng selebrasyon ng ABS-CBN ng 60 taon ng Philippine Television. Kukumpleto sa powerhouse cast nito sina KC Concepcion, John Estrada, Tirso Cruz III, Coney Reyes, My­lene Dizon, Empress, Susan Africa, Matet de Leon, Bryan Termulo at Joseph Marco. She is having mixed emotions about the premiere of her much-awaited comeback series  on ABS-CBN.

“I’m nervous and excited at the same time. I’m really flattered to be given this kind of project, and I’m very thankful to ABS-CBN because they have been supporting me and giving me wonderful projects for the longest time,” says Judy Ann Santos.

According to the actress, she did not think twice in accepting the project as her comeback because of its beautiful and extraordinary story.

“The story of Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala is about women empowerment. It fights for the rights of women and shows the strength of every human to fight for the principles that they believe in,” she says.

Judy Ann, dubbed “Queen of Pinoy Soap Opera,” intimates that after all the drama series that she has made, the only thing that she considers as her key to success is her love for her craft.

“For me, there is no real secret on how to maintain your status in show business. If you love what you’re doing and if you love and respect the people you’re working with, the support of the people for you would never fade,” Judy Ann shares.

As part of ABS-CBN’s celebration of 60 years of Philippine Television, Huwag Ka Lang Mawawalais the story of Anesssa Panaligan (Judy Ann), a strong woman and a loving daughter who will do everything for the sake of her family. Amid all the trials that she is facing, Anessa meets and falls in love with Eros Diomedes (Sam Milby), a rich young man who turns her life into a nightmare.

Completing the powerhouse cast are KC Concepcion, John Estrada, Tirso Cruz III, Coney Reyes, Susan Africa, Mylene Dizon, Matet de Leon, Empress, Bryan Termulo, and Joseph Marco.

Judy Ann Santos is finally back in the acting department. The Young Superstar is currently busy taping for her upcoming teleserye, Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala, with KC Concepcion, John Estrada and Sam Milby. The drama series was previously titled Against All Odds, until Concepcion announced on her Twitter account that it was retitled to Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala.  

Production for the said drama series started last year but was stalled when the lead stars got their hands tied with other projects: Santos for Pinoy Masterchef, Concepcion for X Factor Philippinesand Milby for Kahit Konting Pagtingin. Now that everyone has found time for the series, taping for Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala is in full swing.

Aside from the schedule and title, the series alsoencountered changes in the cast members. The role Estrada will be portraying was previously signed to Jericho Rosales who had to beg off from the series because of the delays.  He decided to give priority to an acting project in Malaysia (read related story) instead of waiting for his co-stars to finish their other commitments.   

Santos said that she is both excited and nervous about her latest TV project. It has been three years since she starred in the teleserye, Habang May Buhay, before laying low in showbiz to take care or her new born son, Lucio. Now that she is back to acting on television, Juday hopes that she could still meet the viewers’ expectations when it comes to drama.

Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala is slated to premier later this year. The cast also includes Mylene Dizon, Empress Schuck, Joseph Marco, Bryan Termulo, Tirso Cruz III, Coney Reyes, Louise Abuel, Susan Africa and Blythe Gorostiza.

Against All Odds resumes shooting Juday, Sam Milby remain lead actors; Sevilla replaced as director

Now that the business unit of ABS-CBN for the series ‘Against All Odds’ has resumed taping and location shooting, it’s pretty obvious who have been replaced by whom in the cast.

But TV insiders said these replacements, which included even the original director, Malu Sevilla, are due to the stars’ busy schedules and have nothing to do with their acting talent or behaviour on the set.

Sevilla, who is now holding the reins for the fantasy series ‘Juan de la Cruz’, starring Coco Martin, was replaced by Jerry Sineneng and Toots Mariscal.

John Estrada, meanwhile, has replaced Jericho Rosales, who declined to be part of the new TV series, as he would be doing a movie in Indonesia. Estrada has clarified, however, that he was really part of the original cast, but begged off for a few months as he was then finishing another TV series, ‘A Beautiful Affair’.

The lead performers Judy Ann Santos and Sam Milby are still in ‘Against All Odds’, a dark melodrama involving women fighting adversity in life and marriage. The series is due to air this first quarter.

It was because of Santos’s busy schedule that the taping of ‘Against All Odds’ has incurred delay. Santos, more popularly known as Juday, was then hosting the just concluded reality show, ‘Pinoy Master Chef’.

Sevilla, who remains director of ‘Toda Max’, has already done some episodes for ‘Against All Odds’, which, according to insiders, are all very good.

Shown every Saturday, ‘Toda Max’ is a comedy series starring Robin Padilla, Vhong Navarro, Pokwang and Angel Locsin.

SAM, SA DOS MUNA HABANG WALA PANG HOLLYWOOD PROJECT

Ito ang kauna-unahang pagkakataong magkakasama sa isang soap sina Sam at Juday kaya naman bagong putahe itong ihahatid ng ABS CBN sa kanilang masugid na tagasubaybay. Excited na nga sina Juday at Sam na magkasama sa nasabing proyekto na malapit ng gumiling ang camera ngayong buwan.
