“Hindi siya nakakairita. Nakakabuwisit siya!” the actress, 35, fumed to media on Monday. “Katatapos lang ng kaso ko so it makes me think… What happened doon sa ibinayad ko? Kaninong bahay kaya siya napunta?”
Judy Ann is among the few high-profile celebrities famously hounded by the BIR in recent years. She will never forget all the hassle she experienced after the agency sued her for tax evasion.
“Ako, ilan taon ko nga binuno yung kaso ko? Eight years? Eight years akong may kaso with BIR,” she said.
She said government should run after politicians who have stolen staggering sums from the public coffers.
“Bakit hindi n’yo kasuhan ang mga pulitiko na malaking-malaki ang mga digits na kinuha sa pera namin? Di ba?” she said.
She believes celebrity taxpayers like her have all the right to hound government for an accounting of where all the taxes are going.
“Dapat kami meron din kaming rundown ng mga nangyayari sa pera namin. Dahil hindi lang naman namin ‘yan hinuhugot sa langit at sinasapo e. Dugo, pawis, luha para sa aming artista ang kapalit nito at oras!” she lamented.
Judy Ann then addressed her tirade directly to politicians and government officials: “We try to be responsible Filipino citizens so as politicians please be responsible with your job!”
The actress made her fearless pronouncements during a press conference for her latest product endorsement, when she debuted her new shorter hairstyle.
“I just wanted a new look. A new beginning… I just wanted to cut my hair,” she said.
Judy Ann also shared the good news that her husband, actor-TV host Ryan Agoncillo, has recovered from a recent bout with dengue.
