DIDN’T Ryan Agoncillo have second thoughts in doing the title role of the mini-series “Lady Dada” that starts on TV5 at 8:30 p.m. this Wednesday? “
No, title pa lang nito, sold na kaming lahat,” he says. “
Dapat na title nito is ‘Lady Daddy’, but nagkaroon ng typo error at mas lumabas na maganda as Lady Dada. I play Mylene Dizon’s ex-husband. I’m jobless so a friend, Keempee de Leon, asked me to try being a drag queen at nakuha naman ako.
Aside from that, I have to pretend that I’m really a woman so I can be with my son na nilalayo sa’kin ni Mylene. So bale, dalawa ang roles ko rito in drag, one as a female impersonator and one as a real woman. It’s no joke kasi putting on make up pa lang already takes an hour. But I enjoyed it. Keempee and I have several musical numbers na ginaya namin ang MTVs ni Lady Gaga. It helps na katrabaho ko na si Keempee sa ‘Eat Bulaga’ kaya maganda ang bonding namin.”
How’s his wife Judy Ann Santos? “She’s 8 months pregnant, due to deliver on October 19 but gusto na niyang mapaaga kasi hirap na siya sa bigat ng tiyan niya. She just stays home now at laging luto nang luto. May pabaon sa ’kin lagi sa ‘Eat Bulaga’ at sa taping ng ‘Lady Dada’ and ‘Talentadong Pinoy’. We won’t get a yaya muna after she delivers as we want to personally take care of our son. Lahat sila, sinasabing maganda siyang buntis so it’s not true na kapag maganda ka, babaeng anak mo. Si Mylene din naman, she had two sons, pero maganda rin siyang buntis.”
