'Hating Kapatid' teams up a 'Queen' and a 'Princess'

In the local movie making industry, casting coups are rare and are always a cause for grand celebration. That is why the teaming-up of two giants in one movie called "Hating Kapatid" under Viva Films is already being heralded as THE event to watch out for this year.
Set to make history on July 28, Judy Ann Santos and Sarah Geronimohave the local moviedom celebrating already. Imagine two of the country's superstars, "Teleserye Queen" Judy Ann Santos and "Pop Princess" Sarah Geronimo in one explosive movie directed by award-winning director Wenn Deramas.
Viva big boss Vic del Rosario is mighty proud of this project of a lifetime. He said, "This is the first time that Juday and Sarah will be seen in one movie. That is a casting coup in itself. But other than the two of them, we also enlisted veteran actress Gina Pareno and young actor Luis Manzano to join the cast. This is big."
The Viva producer also made sure that the movie will have the most excellent production values. Despite the already unbeatable casting, Viva Films also tapped the tried and tested tandem of Wenn Deramas and Mel Mendoza-del Rosario to direct and write the film, respectively. The biggest movie the two have worked on was the groundbreaking "Ang Tanging Ina" and its sequel.
But the Judy Ann-Sarah ticket is not the only thing going for the film. For the first time, and hot in the heels of his critically-acclaimed performance in "In My Life," Luis Manzano will play Sarah's love interest. Also in the cast is the comedian of the hour, Vice Ganda and actress par excellance Gina Pareno.
"Hating Kapatid" tells the story of sisters Rica and Cecilia who love each other so much that they are willing to sacrifice even their personal happiness to keep intact the bond that they share. A romance-comedy, the movie will make viewers laugh, cry, think, wish to fall - and stay - in love and realize that family members should be friends, too. Both actresses will showcase their outstanding comedic talents as well as their abilities to make people cry in this unique movie.
Judy Ann and Sarah bring to the table an unrivaled record of achievements in their respective careers that have made them the biggest stars of their generation. The fusion of both geniuses can be witnessed in "Hating Kapatid."
