BET ON YOUR BABY EVERY SATURDAY NIGHTS ON ABS-CBN!....... .... .........

Thursday, September 29, 2011

ON PERSONAL NOTE:
== To all the fans of Ms. Judy Ann Santos may we refrain from doing unnecessary comments and actuations over other celebrities. Though rest assured not all Judai fans are capable of doing so. Let us maintain love, peace and respect!   (ADMIN)

Ryan & Juday’s ‘My Househusband’ paints realistic picture of marriage

MANILA, Philippines – REAL-life couple Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos brings more to the table in their much-anticipated Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, “My Househusband,” than in projects they have topbilled together in the past.
“We’ve been married for two years now so we know exactly what marriage is about, unlike in previous films where it was purely acting,” Ryan said. “Plus we’ve had Yohan and Lucho for quite a time so we can truly say we relate to being parents.”
Produced by OctoArts Films, “My Househusband” is a light comedy about husband and wife who have exchanged roles, at least in the traditional sense. Rod stays and tends to home while Mia earns a living. They deal with various situations in such a set-up.
Ryan points out that the film is no “andres de saya” tweak. “It’s not as if Rod is a ‘yes’ man. He still gets to wear the pants in the family except that he also dons the apron come meal time,” he said.
The cameras have started grinding for “My Househusband.” It is being helmed by the award-winning Jose Javier Reyes with whom Ryan and Juday worked in 2007′s “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo” and 2008’s “Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo.” Both movies were topgrossers in their respective filmfest seasons creating a lot of excitement for this next franchise from the loveable husband and wife tandem and their favorite director.
The pair is confident that more than entertaining the audience, “My Househusband” would give a realistic idea of what a marriage is like. “You realize that the vow about staying together ‘for better or for worse’ is no lip service,” Ryan said.
Judy Ann rejoined: “If anything, we hope the people would leave the audience enlightened that conflicts actually spice up a marriage if handled correctly. These problems can actually make the husband and wife stronger for their family.”
“My Househusband” under OctoArts Films is an entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.

Juday, balik showbiz

Ryan Agoncillo gears up for new movie

He is first to admit that he is not really an actor, but Ryan Agoncillo has so far been in seven movies, including two with his real-life wife, actress Judy Ann Santos.

The couple first appeared together in the 2006 romantic comedy Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo. The movie proved to be such a box-office success during the 2006 Metro Manila Film Festival that a sequel -- Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo -- was released the following year.

Now Mr. and Mrs. Agoncillo are working on their latest film together, which will be shown during the Metro Manila Film Festival this December.

Titled My Househusband, the movie is a light comedy about a husband and wife who have exchanged traditional roles: the husband stays at home while the wife earns a living.

Produced by OctoArts Films, My Househusband is written and directed by Jose Javier Reyes, who was behind the couple’s first two movies together.

"Direk Joey (Mr. Javier Reyes) is a cool guy. It’s very easy to work with him provided that you come to work prepared -- which should be the case anyway," Mr. Agoncillo earlier told reporters. "He knows how to strike the balance between maintaining a happy set and keeping everything running with clockwork precision," he added.

Mr. Agoncillo, 32, is especially excited to do this movie because it is a homecoming of sorts for him -- he began his acting career within the OctoArts camp via his role in the 2005 movie Kutob. "I am very happy because [OctoArts big boss] Orly Ilacad was the very first producer who trusted me enough to give me a role in a movie. It’s nice to go back to where you started, basically. I know we are in good hands here," he said.

While reading the script of My Househusband, Mr. Agoncillo said he found himself empathizing with the lead characters. "There were instances when I could relate to how Rod, my character in the movie, reacts to a situation because I feel I would do the same if it were me," he said.

Mr. Agoncillo is confident that more than just being entertaining, My Househusband gives a realistic idea of what a marriage is like. "You realize that the vow about staying together ‘for better or for worse’ is not lip service," he said. -- J. O. Valisno

SHOWBIZ NEWS NOW NA!
“Sa ngayon, naka-focus lang kami ng pag-e-explain sa kanya whenever she asks us, ‘Where’s my mommy, where’s ganito, where’s ganyan?’
“We explain it to her in a very honest way and in a manner na magkaibigan nag-uusap, ganyan. Minsan, tatanong namin sa kanya, ‘Do you still want to see your mom? You just let us know,’” kuwento ng aktres.
Thank you Lord,” giit pa ni Juday.
“Well, working with Piolo wala namang imposible ’di ba? Basta mapag-usapan lang ng maayos and at the same time mailagay sa tama ang mga bagay-bagay,” pagtatapos ni Juday.

Judy Ann Santos reveals Baby Lucho inherited Ryan Agoncillo's 'kadaldalan'

Judy Ann admits it’s not easy to balance her career and family life
MANILA, Philippines – Actress Judy Ann Santos excitedly related the adorable developments she has observed in her and husband Ryan Agoncillo's first-born son, Juan Luis or "Lucho."
In her interview aired on “The Buzz,” Sept.
The young superstar admitted that it’s not easy juggling career and  family life, especially given her mommy duties to Lucho, who’s turning one next month, and her eldest daughter, six-year-old Johanna Lois (Yohan).
“Ang sabi ko nga noon, babalik ako sa trabaho pag nag-one year old na si Lucho. [But] since dumating ang offer and kailangan ko na ring magtrabaho—hindi naman kailangan dahil salat sa salapi or something—I just wanted to do something. Mahirap talaga ‘yung… may mga times nga na natutulala na ko dito sa set, gustung-gusto mo nang umuwi… isa man sa dalawang anak ko ‘yung may sakit, hindi talaga ako nakakapagtrabaho,” she said.
Not only do Judy Ann and Ryan have to focus on Baby Lucho’s growth, but to Yohan’s swelling curiosity about her true identity as well. Recall that last March, Juday revealed that she has already admitted to Yohan that she’s been adopted.
Naiiyak-iyak ka na sa hirap, pa’no mo sasagutin...” said she.
When it comes to explaining the truth to her daughter, Judy Ann said she and Ryan do so in “a very honest way… na parang magkaibigan, nagu-usap.”
“Minsan tinatanong namin sa kanya, ‘do you still want to see your mom? You just let us know,’” she added.
Notwithstanding this apparent test to the couple as parents to Yohan, Judy Ann said, “Pinagdadasal ko lang  gabi-gabi na sana ‘pag lumaki siya, ‘yung ma-accept niya kung ano ‘yung nangyari.”
She’s also happy that Yohan’s relationship with her little brother has improved.
“[Kasi] habang nasa tiyan ko palang si Lucho, [we’re] building the relationship already. Nae-enjoy niya,” said Judy Ann.
She has likewise learned significant lessons in her marriage, noting “submissiveness” as a big factor to its success.
“Hindi kasi puwedeng pareho kayong matigas, o pareho kayong may sariling opinion. Importante rin na bukas ‘yung communication ninyo. Hindi naman mawawala ‘yung issue, diba? Kami lang ni Ryan, medyo mas madalang ang issue sa'min ngayon, thank you Lord,” she said with a chuckle.

Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo portray a married couple wrestling with role reversal in new movie

Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo portray a married couple wrestling with role reversal in new movie

Ryan Agoncillo (left) stays home while Judy Ann Santos (right) brings home the bacon in My Househusband: Ikaw Na!, a movie written and directed by Jose Javier Reyes for the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival in December.
Mas feel daw ni Ryan at Judai ang roles nila sa naturang pelikula ngayong mag-asawa na sila in real life at may buo ng pamilya.
Glen P. Sibonga

"Mas marami na kaming alam ngayon unlike in our previous movies together, yung pagiging mag-asawa dati purely acting. Ibang-iba na talaga ngayon.

"Magse-seven years old na si Yohan, si Lucho naman malapit na ang first birthday (October 7).

RELATING TO REAL-LIFE EXPERIENCES.

"It's not as if Rod is a 'yes' man. He still gets to wear the pants in the family except that he also dons the apron come meal times," natutuwang paliwanag ni Ryan.

Hindi ako maingay, masalita or mabunganga. Si Rod naman, very principled siya but with a lot of heart. Basta maganda."

WORKING AGAIN WITH DIREK JOEY.

"Direk Joey is a cool guy," sambit ni Judai.

"Direk knows how to strike a balance between maintaining a happy set and keeping everything running like clockwork."

MOVIE FOR THE FAMILY.
"Masayang-masaya ako because Boss Orly was the very first producer who trusted me enough to give me a role in a movie. It's nice to go back to where you started basically. I know we are in good hands here," sabi ni Ryan.

"You will realize, pagkatapos ninyong manood, that the vow of staying together 'for better or for worse' is no lip service," ani Ryan.

(Pilipino Star Ngayon) Updated September 23, 2011 12:00 AM

“Direk Joey is a cool guy. Ang dali-dali niya talagang katrabaho. Ryan and Judy Ann relate to their roles, scenarios in ‘My Househusband’

Real-life couple Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos brings more to the table in their much-anticipated Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, "My Househusband," than in projects they have topbilled together in the past.
"We’ve been married for two years now so we know exactly what marriage is about unlike in previous films where it was purely acting," Ryan said. "Plus we’ve had Yohan and Lucho for quite a time so we can truly say we relate to being parents."
Proudly produced by OctoArts Films, "My Househusband" is a light comedy about a husband and a wife who have exchanged roles, at least in the traditional sense; that is, Rod stays at and tends to home while Mia earns a living. They deal with various situations in such a set-up.
Ryan points out that the film is no "andres de saya" tweak. "It’s not as if Rod is a ‘yes’ man. He still gets to wear the pants in the family except that he also dons the apron come meal times," he said.
The cameras have started grinding for "My Househusband." It is being directed by the award-winning Jose Javier Reyes with whom Ryan and Juday worked in 2007’s "Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo" and 2008’s "Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo." Both movies were topgrossers in their respective filmfest seasons creating a lot of excitement for this next franchise from the loveable husband and wife tandem and their favorite director. It wouldn’t be a surprise at all if "My Househusband" will emerge as a great contender once again in the 2011 film festival box-office race.
Ryan is especially excited to do this movie because it is a homecoming of sorts for him who actually began his acting career within the OctoArts camp via his role in the 2005 movie "Kutob." He said, "Masayang masaya ako because Boss Orly Ilacad was the very first producer who trusted me enough to give me a role in a movie. It’s nice to go back to where you started basically. I know we are in good hands here."
"Direk Joey is a cool guy. It’s very easy to work with him provided that you come to work prepared – which should be the case anyway," Judy Ann said. "He knows how to strike the balance between maintaining a happy set and keeping everything running with clockwork precision."
In reading the script of "My Househusband," Ryan and Judy Ann found themselves empathizing with the lead characters though not necessarily according to gender. "Some of the things that happen to Mia, I myself have gone through in life," said Ryan.
"And there were instances when I can relate to how Rod reacts to a situation because I feel I would do the same if it were me," said Judy Ann. The actress notes that Mia is the supportive and patient kind of wife versus the loudmouthed, obnoxious and strong-willed ones she has played before. Ryan, on the other hand, says Rod is a very principled guy and one with a lot of heart.
The pair is confident that more than entertaining the audience, "My Househusband" gives a realistic idea of what a marriage is like. "You realize that the vow about staying together ‘for better or for worse’ is no lip service," he said.
Judy Ann rejoined: "If anything, we hope the people would leave the audience enlightened that conflicts actually spice up a marriage if handled correctly. These problems can actually make the husband and wife stronger for their family."

Judy Ann, Ryan translate experience through movie

JUDY Ann Santos’ and Ryan Agoncillo’s son Lucho is turning a year old next month. They’re both busy with their own  TV projects and, together, they’re shooting a new film, “My Househusband,” an entry to the December Metro Filmfest, but they’ll both take time out to give their boy a big first birthday celebration.  “Siyempre naman, first birthday niya ito so we want to make it special,” says Juday.

How’s it working with Ryan again in a movie after Joey Reyes’ “Kasal Kasali Kasalo” (2007) and “Sakal Sakali Saklolo” (2008), both filmfest topgrossers? “Two years na kaming kasal so mas alam na namin exactly what marriage is all about, meron na kaming actual experience, unlike before na uma-acting lang kaming mag-asawa,” she says. “With Yohan and Lucho with us, we can now also truly say we can relate to being parents.”

Proudly produced by OctoArts Films, “My Househusband” is a heartwarming comedy about a couple who exchange roles. Ryan as Rod stays home doing household chores while Juday as Mia goes out to earn a living. They deal with some unusual situations with such a set-up. Is Rod under the saya?

“No,” says Ryan. “Rod is not a ‘yes’ man. He still gets to wear the pants in the family except that he also dons the apron come meal times.  When we read Direk Joey Reyes’ script, who also wrote our first two hit filmfest entries, Juday and I realized a lot of couples can relate with the experiences that our characters go through in the movie. Parang homecoming ko rin ito sa OctoArts Films as I did my first movie with them in 2005, ‘Kutob,’ na si Direk Joey rin ang gumawa.”

“We both trust Direk Joey,” says Juday. “He’s very easy to work with as long as you come to work prepared. He knows what he’s doing kaya mabilis siya magtrabaho. Hindi n’yo kailangang magpuyat, a no-no for me lalo na nga’t I breastfeed Lucho. Ibang-iba rin ang character ko rito as Mia, a supportive and patient kind of wife unlike the loudmouthed and strong-willed wife I played before. Ryan, on the other hand, can identify with Rod as a very principled guy with a lot of heart.         The film will help couples realize that the wedding vow about staying together ‘for better or for worse’ is not mere lip service.”

With their track record, we won’t be surprised if “My Househusband” emerges as a topgrosser once again in the 2011 film festival box-office race.

Ryan, Juday relate to their roles in My Househusband

Judy Ann Santos and husband Ryan Agoncillo topbill OctoArts Films’ entry to this year’s MMFF

MANILA, Philippines - Ryan Agoncillo and wife Judy Ann Santos brings more to the table in their much anticipated Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, My Househusband, than in projects they have topbilled together in the past.
“We’ve been married for two years now so we know exactly what marriage is about unlike in previous films where it was purely acting,” Ryan said. “Plus, we’ve had Yohan and Lucho for quite a time so we can truly say we relate to being parents.”
Proudly produced by OctoArts Films, My Househusband is a light comedy about husband and wife who have exchanged roles, at least in the traditional sense; that is, Rod stays at and tends to home while Mia earns a living. They deal with various situations in such a set-up.
Ryan points out that the film is no Andres de Saya tweak. “It’s not as if Rod is a ‘yes’ man. He still gets to wear the pants in the family except that he also dons the apron come meal times,” he said.
The cameras have started grinding for My Househusband. It is directed by Jose Javier Reyes with whom Ryan and Juday worked in 2007’s Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo and 2008’s Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo. Both movies were top-grossers in their respective filmfest seasons creating a lot of excitement for this next franchise from the loveable husband and wife tandem and their favorite director. It wouldn’t be a surprise at all if My Househusband will emerge as a great contender once again in this year’s film festival box-office race.
Ryan is especially excited to do this movie because it is a homecoming of sorts for him who actually began his acting career within the OctoArts camp via his role in the 2005 movie Kutob. He said, “Masayang masaya ako because Boss Orly Ilacad was the very first producer who trusted me enough to give me a role in a movie. It’s nice to go back to where you started basically. I know we are in good hands here,” he said.
Direk Joey is a cool guy. It’s very easy to work with him provided that you come to work prepared — which should be the case anyway,” Judy Ann said. “He knows how to strike the balance between maintaining a happy set and keeping everything running with clockwork precision.”
In reading the script of My Househusband, Ryan and Judy Ann found themselves empathizing with the lead characters though not necessarily according to gender. “Some of the things that happen to Mia, I myself have gone through in life,” said Ryan.

PIK PAK BOOM Ni Sol Gorgonio (Pilipino Star Ngayon)

Sharon Cuneta talks about proposed movie projects with Richard Gomez and Judy Ann Santos

9/20/2011 8:56 AM

by: Rhea Manila Santos

092011-sharon-main.jpgAs her show The Biggest Loser: Pinoy Edition gets ready for its grand finale this coming September 30, host Sharon Cuneta is also getting ready to start shooting for her role as a call center agent in a yet-untitled Star Cinema movie which starts shooting next month, as well as other upcoming projects like proposed reunion movies with Richard Gomez and Judy Ann Santos.

With regards to aborted film project with Vilma Santos which will be pushed back to a later date, Sharon said she is still looking forward to sharing the big screen with the Star for All Seasons. After being paired together in the 2000 film Minsan Minahal Kita, Sharon says she is open to doing another film with Richard Gomez although there are no concrete plans about it yet. “Siguro matutuloy pero siguro it’s not with Star Cinema. Baka somewhere else. Hindi ko pa sure yung iba eh. Mag-mi-meet pa kami nila Boss Vic (Del Rosario) at ni Mother Lily (Monteverde),” she shared with Push.com.ph.

Fans of her 2002 flick Magkapatid with Judy Ann will also have to wait a little longer as the Megastar admitted she has not been formally offered to do that project just yet. “Wala pang kumakausap sa akin tungkol sa movie project na yan although isa yan sa mga ibi-bring up ni boss Vic sa meeting namin soon,” she said.

Sharon shared that she is also looking into getting into producing movies not just for herself but for other stars as well in the near future. “I’m going to go into co-production with certain projects. At saka I’m hoping na kahit hindi ako yung artista, sa iba makiki-co-prod ako possibly with Star Cinema and Viva. So dadahan-dahanin para naman maiba. Matagal ng plano yun. It’s just parang my time is really eaten up by all the projects I do as someone who works in front of the camera. And this is my bread and butter so it’s not a priority to co-produce. But it would be something nice ‘di ba? To be able to do it on the side,” she said.

The actress also admitted that for the first time in her life, she is now open to the idea of doing a teleserye if the right offer comes. Dahil interested din ako for the first time in my life. So baka magawan ng paraan, depende yan. Sana ipagdasal natin matuloy. I am thinking it can be a light drama. There will be dramatic moments but it has to be inspiring.”

With a fully-booked showbiz schedule, Sharon also dispelled any rumors that hint on her entering politics in the near future. “I thank God I have no plans to enter politics.

“Mas marami na ka*ming alam ngayon unlike in our previous movies together.

“Yung pagiging mag-asawa dati, purely acting. Ibang-iba na talaga ngayon.

“Magse-seven years old na si Yohan.

“It’s not as if Rod is a yes man. He still gets to wear the pants in the family except that he also dons the apron come meal times,” lahad ni Ryan.

Ani Juday, “Direk Joey is a cool guy.

“Direk knows how to strike the balance between maintaining a happy set and keeping everything running with clockwork precision.”

Hindi ako maingay, masalita or mabunganga.

“Si Rod naman, very principled siya but with a lot of heart. Basta, maganda…

“Ang hope namin, after watching the movie, lalabas ka na mas nauunawaan ang buhay mag-asawa, na kahit may mga problema, kapag hinarap mo nang tama, mas magiging matatag ang pagsasama ninyo bilang pamilya.”

Race to Top 20 Kicks Off in ‘Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition’

September 16, 2011 by

Three weeks of competitive screening have brought together 30 skilled kiddie chefs from all over the country, impressing viewers with creations average eight to 12 year old’s might not be able to cook with ease.

The battle heats up in the “Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition” kitchen tomorrow (Sep 17) as the top 30 kids face the next round of competition called the Invention Test.
They will be split into two groups of 15 contestants. The first group will have to conceive wow-worthy recipes made with chicken and vegetables. The other 15 young chefs will have to create dishes with pork and fruits as the primary ingredients.
They will make their way around the kitchen to cook eggs benedict with apple glaze, stuffed herbed French grilled porkchop, Filipino sushi, torilla crusted chicken with cheese pimiento and roasted pistachio, and salsa on a bed of Mexican pillaf with Mexican salad and guacamole, among others.
Which dish will delight the taste buds of host Judy Ann-Santos Agoncillo and chef judges Ferns, Lau, and Jayps to remain in the competition?
Only ten will be picked out for the top 20 official contestants, while the remaining 20 who were not selected will return next week to go through an all-new challenge.
As the culinary race gets tough, Chef Lau, one of the three judges, admits he makes extreme effort in imparting cooking know-how’s instead of plainly criticizing the kids’ creations.
“If you are not honest, the kids won’t know what mistakes they’ve done. But there are certain ways of saying things. You cannot just tell them bluntly that their dish is not good,” he says.
Chef Lau explains that judges should critique in a way that kids will understand and at the same time, will encourage them to do better.
“It’s our job to make them learn and bring out the best in them,” he added.
Watch “Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition” this Saturday (September 17), 6:45 PM after “Wansapanataym” on ABS-CBN. For updates on the program, like http://www.facebook.com/jrmasterchef on Facebook, or follow @jrmasterchef_ph on Twitter.

Actress to face tax evasion suit

by Elaine Ramos Alanguilan

Actress and celebrity endorser Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo is set to appear before the Court of Tax Appeals today to answer the tax evasion case filed against her by the Bureau of Internal Revenue. The BIR filed the suit before the Justice department in October 2005 for failing to supply correct and accurate information for the taxable year 2002. Santos-Agoncillo is one of the highest paid actresses and talents in big budget advertising and election campaigns. The bureau’s assessment of her total tax liability at the time was P2.7 million. Before her marriage to actor Ryan Agoncillo in 2009, Judy Ann appeared in a public service commercial of Manila Electric Co. to explain systems losses to consumers. In the 2004 mid-term elections, she endorsed Senator Jamby Madrigal in her successful bid for a legislative seat. The Supreme Court in 2008 upheld the tax evasion charges, ordering the tax court to proceed with the case. Tax evasion cases above P1 million go to the tax appellate court while those worth P1 million and below are first tried at the regular courts. If convicted under section 255 of the National Internal Revenue Code, or for failure to supply correct and accurate information, Agoncillo faces a jail term of one to 10 years and a fine of at least P10,000 in addition to the unpaid taxes, including interests and surcharge. BIR expects to increase its income tax take from professionals such as lawyers, doctors and artists to P192 billion this year from last year’s P160 billion. Kiddie cooking tilt off to yummy start

Philippine Daily Inquire

The first telecast of the new kiddie cooking tilt, “Junior Master Chef, Pinoy Edition” on Saturday, August 27, fielded 60 preselected young, semifinalists vying for the really cool million-peso prize that are the culinary competition’s top plum. Having been a regular viewer of the original edition produced in Australia, we could readily compare “our” version to “theirs”:
The Australian show featured more naturally child-friendly judges; the Pinoy panel of chef-jurors is too consistently on its best behavior, so the effect is a bit stilted—and also too overwhelmingly complimentary, with all of the 20 young cooks who competed getting great reviews (the only “slightly negative” note struck was the comment that a fish dish was too bland and needed a bit more salt!).
We know that the jurors were being kind so as not to hurt the vulnerable kids’ feelings but such universal good cheer was too Pollyanna-ish to be believed.
So, when 10 of the 20 were eliminated at show’s end, some of them were shocked. If their dishes had been so absolutely wonderful, why did they lose? Why, indeed?
In the future, therefore, the jurors have to do better at being both supportive and objective. This is a competition, remember, and “talking down” to kids is a left-handed compliment that none of them should get.
Host Judy Ann Santos was also overly-kind, but she did well, otherwise. Just a tiny note: Since she’s still plump after delivering her first child, she needs a better stylist to help her cover up what needs to be temporarily hidden, ahem.
Now, to the young contestants: The Australian tilt’s kids amazed us with the precocious sophistication of their culinary skills. Their Pinoy counterparts, while also coming up with tasty dishes, generally hewed more basic cooking techniques. As they progress in the tilt, of course, they will be able to acquire more diverse techniques, and that’s all to the good.
Fiesta food
On point of personality, it was instructive to see that more of the local kids resorted to juvenile behavior and reactions, unlike the young Australians, who came across as cool, pint-sized professionals. A number of the local contestants burst into tears, and several made a big deal about their disadvantaged origins, complaining that they weren’t “familiar” with some of the ingredients made available to them.
By the way, there was also a problem with the day’s specific cooking challenge, which was described as coming up with “dishes served during a typical Filipino fiesta”: A number of “better-advantaged” kids came up with more sophisticated western dishes that were ostensibly delicious, but did not fit that “Pinoy fiesta” description—and yet they were resoundingly praised by the judges. Shouldn’t they have lost some points, because the dishes weren’t what the specific challenge had ordered?
Well, these are pilot-show kinks that succeeding telecasts can iron out. What’s important is that young Pinoys are being enticed to be interested in cooking good, healthy food, instead of just wolfing down junk food.
Since our children’s health and creativity are key, these are definitely upbeat inputs that the show can be proud of.
Now, if only the jurors can tell it like it is, and the contestants can go beyond basic cooking skills, we’ll be in for a really dishy and yummy viewing treat every Saturday at 6:45 p.m., from here on in.
