After the highly successful "Pinoy Big Brother," ABS-CBN announced on Monday its latest reality show, "I Do," an original concept that aims to show the true meaning of marriage. "I Do," which will air in the last quarter of the year, will feature nine couples who will face various challenges during their stay in the "I Do" village in Cavite.

The winning couple will get their dream wedding, as well as a house and car. "I Do" will be hosted by the Prime Superstar, Judy Ann Santos with comedian Jason Gainza as her co-host.

MANILA -- Even while she is still busy with the hit game show "Bet On Your Baby," actress Judy Ann Santos is already gearing up for her newest hosting job as ABS-CBN announced its biggest and newest reality show "I Do."

On Monday, Santos, along with ABS-CBN executives led by TV Production head Laurenti Dyogi, attended the blessing of the show's "reality village" at Lancaster Estates in Cavite.
According to Santos, "I Do" is an original reality show of ABS-CBN, which has scored several hits with franchised versions of foreign shows such as "Pinoy Big Brother" and "The Voice of the Philippines."

In "I Do," which will air in the last quarter of the year, nine couples will live in the Cavite village. The winning pair will get the wedding of their dreams, as well as a house and lot and a car, the host-actress said.

Judy Ann Santos poses for a photo with the 'I Do' reality village in Cavite in the background.

"It's actually to inspire people na kailangan kilalanin muna nila ang ka-partner nila for the rest of their lives. So nandito kami to guide them kung ano talaga ang proseso kung halimbawang naging mag-asawa sila," she said.

"Ang pagpapakasal ay hindi parang buy-one-take-one sa isang department store. It's a vow na kailangang panindigan," she stressed, noting that the show will have marriage councilors, who will tell the contestants about the harsh realities of married life.
Santos pointed out the Cavite village was created just for the show, which will be co-hosted by comedian and former "Pinoy Big Brother" (PBB) housemate Jason Gainza.

"Bongga talaga siya at napakabonggang pressure din ito para sa akin," admitted Santos, who previously hosted the reality cooking show, "MasterChef Pinoy Edition."
Santos has been married to host-actor Ryan Agoncillo for five years and her own experiences as a wife and mother will be put to good use in "I Do."

"Parang mate-test dito ang power ko sa pag-a-advise," she said. "Nakakatuwa na pagkatiwalaan ka ng isang ganitong klaseng show na wala pang nakakagawa. So it's fun, but at the same time, it's a test sa akin kung kakayanin ko ba."
Santos describes the complexity of the show as "Pinoy Big Brother" multiplies five times since there are several houses for the contestants, each monitored by 11 cameras.

"Siguro at the end of the year magiging famous ang village na ito at ang cute niya, parang Lego," Santos said.
Meanwhile, Santos announced that she aready started taping the second season of her current game show, "Bet On Your Baby."

"Mayroon na kaming apat na millionaire babies. Nakakatuwa na nakakatulong ka sa mga tao at nakaka-inspire ka sa kanila sa mga times na kailangang kailangan nila ng pera," she said.
"Palagi naman akong nagdarasal. I am thankful na ito ang ibinigay sa aking trabaho na nakakatulong ka at nakakapagpapasaya ka at ako mismo ay masaya,

032914-kris_main.jpgFans of Kris Aquino who have been waiting for her to dabble in the independent scene may have to wait a little further as she recently turned down yet another offer.

The Kris TV host took to Instagram to tackle the subject of the indie that she turned down titled Maratabat (Dangal at Karangalan), whose script she posted online with the caption: “Over the weekend @ramsayderek11 [Derek Ramsay] called me because he had spoken w/ Ms Arlyn [dela Cruz] & he loved her pitch & wanted to connect us because the project felt like a worthwhile challenge. Boy [Abunda] & I met w/ her last night & her script was superb."

The reason why she had to turn it down was, “Unfortunately the movie's production timing is immediate & there's no way to juggle my schedule to make shooting possible."

Nevertheless the Aquino and Abunda Tonight host was grateful to have been considered for the role for, according to her, would have been "memorable" to share the screen with Derek. She added, "Hopefully another opportunity will come. Best of luck to Maratabat!"

Also on the same post, Kris shared that it's actually the second indie project that she had to turn down last year. “I was offered a beautiful, moving & powerful material for an indie film slated to join the Barcelona Film Festival. Last year I was offered an excellent role, but it required me to shave my head," she shared.

The film she was pertaining to was Jun Lana's Barber's Tale, a project which was eventually tackled by Eugene Domingo.

Young superstar Judy Ann Santos, on the other hand, has recently signed up for an indie project, Marquina, which involves award-winning director-producer Paul Soriano.

Paul happily announced this news in a tweet posted on his account last March 11. "Thank you for the trust @OfficialJuday I'm excited and looking forward! #cinemalaya2014 #mariquina #aFilmbyMiloSogueco #TEN17P," he wrote.

And the Bet on Your Baby replied to this post and said, "@paulsoriano1017 same here boss! :)."

The film will be directed by Milo Sogueco (Sanglaan) and will be shown this coming August as a finalist for the 2014 Cinemalaya Film Festival, New Breed Category.

According to reports, Mariquina is a tale about Marikina shoes and shoemakers and will revolve around finding oneself and gaining acceptance and forgiveness.

MANILA – Kapamilya star Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo is inviting all women to join her in a free self-defense seminar this weekend aimed at curbing incidents of rape and domestic violence.
Santos-Agoncillo will be part of “Fight Like A Girl,” a seminar organized by International Krav Maga Federation Philippines for the benefit of Women’s Crisis Center.
It will be held at the Bahay ng Alumni at the UP Diliman Campus in Quezon City on Saturday, March 29, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Trained in Krav Maga herself, Santos-Agoncillo stressed the need for women to know how defend themselves not only from abusive partners, but also from robbers, rapists and other criminals.

“Kailangan talaga ‘yung mga kababaihan alam kung paano dipensahan ang sarili nila. Kasi sa panahon ngayon, kadalasan may rape, mga nabubugbog na babae. Ang daming krimen na nangyayari ngayon involving women,” she said in an interview on radio DZMM on Monday.
After training in Krav Maga for her recent soap on ABS-CBN, “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala,” Santos-Agoncillo partnered with the Women’s Crisis Center to help empower victims of domestic violence.
The Kapamilya star hopes that many women will take part in the free seminar to support their cause.
“Libre po ito… Lahat po ng kababaihan pwede po sa Sabado,” she said.
General principles of Krav Maga, a self-defense system developed in Israel, include counterattacking, targeting a person’s most vulnerable points such as the eyes and throat, and neutralizing an opponent as quickly as possible.
Its techniques have been used in a number of movies such as Jennifer Lopez’ “Enough” and in the “Taken” series starring Liam Neeson.

News update on Lactum

Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo going to great lengths to give her child 100% nourishment…

From the big screen to television, there’s no denying the exemplary acting skills of one of the best actresses of our generation, Ms. Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo. But of all the roles she has played, there is one role that is closest to her heart – being a mother who prioritizes the 100% nourishment of her children.

Mealtime becomes acting time!

“Lumalabas ang acting skills ko every mealtime,” Juday shares in between hearty laughter. Para kay Juday kasi, importanteng convincing ang acting niya sa hapag-kainan so that her son Lucho finishes his meal. Marami kasing ume-eksenang distractions kapag mealtime, like toys!

Lactum: Partner of 100% Panatag Mom, Judy Ann

Kaya naman iba ang kapanatagan ng loob ni Juday knowing na may co-star siya in helping give Lucho the 100% nourishment he deserves – ang Lactum 3+ together with 3 balanced meals a day. Lactum has the essential nutrients found in the food groups of the food pyramid. And with this experience, confident si Juday na i-recommend sa lahat ng mga mommies ang kanyang sikreto as a Best Mom: Lactum 3+ and 6+!

“From Yohan to Lucho at susunod ko pang mga anak, panatag ako kasi I have Lactum as my partner.” – Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo

Juday, Ryan appear in public amid split rumors

MANILA -- Celebrity couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo made a public appearance together at an awards ceremony in Quezon City, just days after the actress took to Twitter to deny that they are no longer a couple.

The couple was even seen holding hands at the Anak TV Awards, which took place at the SGI Auditorium on Thursday.
Agoncillo and Santos were both recipients of the Makabata award, which is given to personalities who are "credible, wholesome and worth emulating by the youth," as voted by parents, teachers and concerned non-government organizations.
A photo of the smiling couple was snapped by ABS-CBN News' Ginger Conejero, showing them in matching white tops as they held hands.
Only recently, Santos said she and Agoncillo are "very, very much okay" when asked by a follower on Twitter about her relationship with the TV host. "Deadma sa nega," she quipped.
Agoncillo and Santos, who were married in 2009, have two children.

JUDY ANN SANTOS-AGONCILLO SHARES HER EXPERIENCE AS A DAUGHTER OF A FORMER OFW

http://lionheartv.net/2014/03/judy-ann-santos-agoncillo-shares-her.html
Many Filipinos were moved by last Saturday’s (March 15) episode of “Bet On Your Baby,” where the game show once more connected children with their parents who were miles away as overseas Filipino workers.

The show bridged the gap through touching video calls where OFW fathers expressed their support for their babies as contestants on “Bet On Your Baby” as they participated in the Baby Dome challenges—making not only the children happy, but their mommies as well.

Even “Bet On Your Baby” host Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo was moved to talk about how she was separated from her mother at an early age, because her mother had to work in Canada in order to fully support Judy Ann and her siblings.

This Saturday (March 22) on “Bet On Your Baby,” even more babies of the country’s new heroes, the Philippines’ OFWs, will be joining in on the family fun.

Meet baby Kean Quizon, the son of an employee in Singapore; baby Baste Billos, whose mother is a domestic helper in Hong Kong; and babies Ruzzel John and Ruzzel James, the children of a welder based in Australia.

Catch “Bet On Your Baby,” airing on Saturdays on ABS-CBN.
